Alternating games each match. All teams play each other twice each round, one time being a Bo5 of just brood war, the second being a Bo7 of SC2 (they have to promote SC2, let em have a Bo7). Then, all fans of all types would get their fix. That would be a format I would support and tune into.

The only reason they are not following your suggestion MDJ is because if they did that most of the time fans only will come for the bw session and not the sc2 session . In other words they are forcing fans to watch both games and force feeding us to watch sc2 and hoping that some how magically we will turn in to e-sport(sc2 horde).

Well, that's actually a very good point, and I agree. You're implying that there is not a large crowd waiting for another block of SC2 games in Korea? Or, are you implying what I believe, that the average korean would rather watch high level BW vs high level entry level SC2?

Koreans crowds still love broodwar just take a look at most of the bw osl reception and the number of fans watching the osl games are much more higher than your standard spl game.

Because reapers are so rare if you catch your opponent off guard and get a few worker kills if you are lucky. They are so fragile and take ages to build so you only every build 1-2 for early map control and scouting.

they were nerfed into oblivion after the first major LAN event after the release.
To expand on this, MorroW used reapers to great effect in a 5-rax reaper build that built just reapers and pretty much raped zerg since their numbers went up way too fast. This was a TvZ build that got nerfed by making rax require depot to build and taking the speed upgrade for reapers higher up in the tech tree.

Not really, it's pretty much accepted that in Round 1 (season 2), the SC2 games were incredibly bad, especially compared to other SC2 leagues. Players are improving and thus better games are produced and thus we are responding more positively. This trend however will in no way quench our thirst for more BW games, the two are not strongly correlated, even if GMarshal calls us elitists.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if there are more BW fans watching the SC2 part of proleague than people who are just fans of SC2.
The overall games of SC2 have been steadily increasing in entertainment value since the beginning of R1, plus we've also had some good BW games this week.
There's three things worth noting. There haven't been a LR thread for SPL in the SC2 section for 2 weeks now (feel free to correct me there). I've always more or less disregard 15 vote poll for matches, especially for an Ace one (here I know it's STX vs Ace but come on...). The poll for this first part of PL were already heavily inflated toward Yes after a few weeks compared to what the same games would have drawn a year before.
