I can never remember which game players are slotted to play and hence which match ups to hope for. I think flash did sc2 last, so we can see some bw fun with him.

Stats being too eager and not patient enough, loses his 2 reavers when he should have waited for some zealots and is now behind without a 3rd against a 4 base zerg.
Stats again with bad control, loses his 2 reavers without doing any real damage. Engages and lsoes his army. Stats is behind 20 supply already. Stats takes his mineral only. Soo still in 4 base and taking 5th
Really good engagement from Soo, even better storms and better control from Stats. Stats crushes first army, but soo overruns him with lings. Even supply now
less activity in the lr threads because the quality of games has been lacking. Its not just the spread of practice between games. It's also that there are all these new people that are only good at 1 game but are still forced to play 2. As a result, a lot of the storylines behind players are lacking. People that you've never heard of come on and crush a a teamer one day only to lose terribly the next when they play the other game.

Pretty solid game but someone should tell him that making so many vikings is actually a mistake, insta death vs ultra transition, then again he probably knew that CH was dead anyway.

If you don't have lots and lots the infestor/corruptor/brood lord army will just kill you outright most of the time.
Combat shield isn't that big of a difference if Protoss had reavers and BW storm and terrans had BW tanks and vultures marines would have still been limited to TvZ only .

Map control depended on the micro vs Muta/lurker + ling , but now zergs have it because of creepsread and no early medics ... They are not more mobile then BW marines especially in the early game . Not to mention that it was a lot harder to drop against zergs do to scourge .

Overmaking is a lot safer.
The problem is that CH had no upgrades for his blords, it didn't make sense for him to go full air, and even if he had, very few vikings are always better than 20 because of transitions and the fact that they are pretty bad vs infestor/corruptor, I've seen mass vikings vs zerg air lose infinitely more than win.

Losing 2 immortals and a warp prism in any matchup means a good chance you lose.

Marines start with the range upgrade. They also have the combat shields health upgrade.

marines have 55 hp with combat shields compared with 40 in bw. that's a near 50% increase in health.
This SPL is really crazy. One day they lose. the other they win. No real favorites despite Woogjing.
It's a shame though they are not attracting many ppl. All because of this dual game tournament that does not make sense at all, since both games are being played horribly.
SKT vs KT should have been the proleague highlight... now its just 2 teams fighting not to be last place. Btw Marines are stronger cause they shoot faster.

BW stimmed marines actually shoot faster than SC2 stim IIRC. SC2 marines are stronger because of a whooping 37.5% health increase. (40>55)
well GSL get more and more viewers with better SC2 games and contents, i think this is fair enough. BW pros still learn the game and struggling to practice hybrid PL, i believe when they got better people will come. i know its not easy for them since they come from the top and force to climb from the bottom again, there will be natural selection ahead, talent alone wouldn't be enough, strong mentality and hard work are what more they need. bumpy road awaits, but as a fan i have a faith on them.

Eh, if you take their Liquipedia values literally, then BW marines have 40 HP and 5 BW range (with the upgrade) against SC2 marines with 55 HP and 5 SC2 range, so SC2 marines would win kinda. Though a stimpack battle would be harder to predict since stim works differently in both games...

ok but the non stim marine shoots faster in sc2 and you can do shoot/run micro with sc2 marines which is not possible in that way with bw marines
