TvT, for any curious SC2 fans in the thread, is the longest matchup by far. Siege Tank lines are even scarier than in SC2, and that + spider mines equals a very very VERY defensible entrenched position. Drops are somewhat common, but BW players don't mess up the way SC2 players often do, so it's not a "who derps their army away first" the way mech vs mech SC2 TvT can be. It much more strategic and long term and mining out the maps etc. In general, anyway, unless it's changed dramatically in the last few years. I would add that with Wraiths becoming popular in recent months, TvT is also an opportunity for players with great micro to show it off by taking advantage of tanks' vulnerability and Goliaths' immobility to break entrenched positions. TvT hasn't really been about opposing Maginot lines for a while. | ||
