The first three qualifiers of the Altitude ISL have been played. We've already seen a bunch of great games from great players and now that we're (almost) halfway we can take the time to give you a bit of a recap. The rest of the post concerns the information for the next three qualifier, after which we will post another thread for the seventh and final qualifier. As per usual, you can follow the following qualifiers at hacklebeast and L_Master, whose streams start at 20:00 CET Saturday and 19:00 CET Sunday respectively.
Among the notable names that have tried to qualify once but haven't managed to do so just yet we find: Plumbum, TTF, OyA, Jumper, AstrO, LML, GoTuNk!, aCe Which, more interestingly, leaves us with some people who have tried twice, and for whom the next try is do-or-die. First of all congratulations on making it through on your first try! Everything going according to plan? Bakuryu: Yeah, i was lucky that I had a rather easy bracket and managed to qualify on my first try, but some people have really hard brackets hehe.
Well, you managed it through the first step which is always good. The real question though: How far do you want to go? Bakuryu: Well as I stated in the thread, I atleast want to win some money which is ro8, otherwise I will shave my moustache^^

Not everything went with my expectations. At 1st try I was worried because of TechnicS. I didn't know him good because I didn't even play with him, but much people like him and they like to favor him. At the 2nd try i was worried because of aCe. He is old gamer, i don't remember him well, but ex ToT player must be talented. I had luck because he hasn't practiced much, or maybe he didnt practice anything ^^
How far do you want to go? Top 4 again or going for Gold this time? Sneazel: I want to go to Top4. It would satisfy me. But I don't think I can do it again. I will do my best, but there are some better players than me. I don't feel safe.
Who else would you like to see making it in? Sneazel: I would like to see much people which I like, but I must take to note skill these players. I would like to see at least in Top16 Michael, Mazur, Pike and maybe KC

To sign up for a qualifier, you can send an email to the following address: AltitudeISLRegistry@gmail.com This email must contain:

Note that there is a Reservation list. Players on this list hold precedence over all other sign-ups (more below).
A total of seven Qualifiers will be played and every Qualifier will have (a maximum of) 64 players. The sign-ups will be randomised at 23:59 CET on Wednesday and seeded into a 64 player Single Elimination bracket. Sign-ups for the first and all consecutive qualifiers will open on the Monday prior, at 22:00 CET (local time: 21:00 GMT (+00:00))
The Qualifiers will have the following format:
Ro64 - Best of 1
Ro32 - Best of 3
Ro16 - Best of 5
Ro8 - All players have 8 qualified
The mappool vary from qualifier to qualifier. The full mappools for every week are found in the the spoiler below. Use this to your advantage when choosing what qualifier to play in! + Show Spoiler [Map pools] +
Qualifier 4: Ro64 - Bo1: Match Point Ro32 - Bo3: New Bloody Ridge/Tau Cross/Ground Zero Ro16 - Bo5: Tau Cross/Ground Zero/Match Point/New Bloody Ridge/Tau Cross
1) Rules Concerning Executive Decisions and Over-Rulings - All Players are subject to administrative discretion - LRM)Game reserves full discretion over all decisions and procedures
2) Rules Concerning Gameplay - Each player may only make 3 qualification attempts. - The "Reservation List" applies precedence of said players to register for qualification.
3) Rules Concerning Behavior - No bad manner will be tolerated in official write-ups by Altitude International Starleague's staff by participants with intent to qualify. - No bad manner directed towards Altitude International Starleague's staff is acceptable. This rule's parameters are strictly applied to official write-ups and during league operations. Failure to abide will result in a league ban.
4) Rules Concerning Server and Launcher - All games must be played on Fish Server - If under special circumstance Fish is down for an extended period of time, an announcement will be made in the applicable round's threads. - All games must be played using Mini-Launcher or ChaosLauncher - All games must be played using the #l2, #l1 or #ll settings.
5) Rules Concerning Replays - All replays must be sent to AltitudeISL@gmail.com immediately after the completion of a round. The winner must send in both wins and losses. Failure to do so will result in replacement. If a failed send occurs, however the player has proof of the attempt, the player may advance as long as the replays are delivered before the start of the next round.
6) Rules Concerning Names - All players must use their most known ID, if you are unsure of which ID you should use, please contact LRM)Game. (Exceptions may be discussed) - All players must be using proper ISL tag during all Altitude ISL games.
7) Rules Concerning Lag - If a player is experiencing an unplayable quantity of lag, they must leave the game before the two minute mark. Beyond this point, the player will be forced to play out the set. - Lag games could result in the dissmissal of a player at the referee's discretion. The player's case will then be dealt with at a later time.
8) Rules Concerning Drops - If a player drops due to a bugged map, the incident will be recorded for the host in case of future issues. The players will change up the map and continue with the set. - If a player drops due to a loss of connectivity to the internet, the players will have to wait until all other sets of the same round have been taken care of, then the replay will be reviewed and a judgment will be made. (Re-game/Victory/Defeat) - If a player drops twice due to a loss of connectivity to the internet, the player will be attributed for a loss of the game in which the drop occured. - If a player drops due to an IP conflict, both players will be reviewed and a decision will be made based on the the information and options at hand.
9) Rules Concerning Abuse - Any form of abuse will result in the offending player's ban from the Altitude International Starleague. This player will not be allowed to re-enter another qualifier, nor any league operated by the organization of Altitude's International Starleague.
10) Rules Concerning PP matches - There will be no PP matches, if you cannot make it to a qualifier, try to get in one of the other 6.
11) Rules Concerning IP - No Korean IP Addresses - Players are required to surrender their IP address upon admission to the league. - Players may be required to surrender their IP address again at any given time during the league without notice.
12) Rules Concerning W.O Timers - A player who finds himself without an opponent will be granted a W.O victory for every 15 minutes of waited time. - The above rule is applicable not only to situations of tardiness, but those of neglect. - Technical issues do not apply and will be handled case to case.

As explained to me in confidence, there may be players withholding their participation in the tournament who don't feel comfortable giving out their IP address. For knowledge and safety purposes alone: We do not share these IP's. I have archived IP's since the 16 Man Invitational in January 2010 and I have never used a person's personal information maliciously, not will I do so in the future. The IP submission is simply one of the pre-counter abuse methods that we use. Every day you share your IP with random server's admins, who register it as soon as you log in, and no harm done. They use your IP for the same purposes as us: to verify who you are, future counter abuse, and to trace your location. ISL strictly uses these IP's to track the location they run to, and compare them to previous IP's I have archived per user. The information will be handled with both care and confidentiality, and are, once more, only requested as an anti-abuse measure. We would like players to feel comfortable participating for ISL3 and hope this message can shed some light on the nature of this requirement. We hope these players will consider re-thinking their position.
Based on the fact that Miguel and Modesty are in the same part of the bracket, we are guaranteed to have our first elimination of ISL3 this weekend. Octzerg is the third player who is on his final attempt.
Also, it looks like it's actually a great idea for me to only sign up for the last qualifier. At the rate signups are going, whoever enters that one will auto-qualify.

I think he is pretty decent in SC2 nowadays? But he apparently also played some BW some time ago, idk if he still does. There was also some drama about TT1 at some point in WGTCL (I believe) where his opponent unpaused after TT1 paused for several minutes due to a huge spider.

I'm so confused about the first question due to its randomness. He plays BW once every month or so to feel like he still has a soul. Essentially he just went around maphacking in leagues, and even after being caught, continued to do so when he thought he could get away with it. @LML in Canadia, the spider is at the top of the food chain.

Despite qualifier 5's casts just ending, the registration for Qualifier 6 opens up in exactly 24 hours on Monday at 22CET as per normal. Do not forget to reserve your spot in foreign BroodWar's largest league via qualification.

Boom is good, but not as good as peak castro. With castro, though, it is a question of exactly how in form he is. I think it will be one of the best matches of this qualifier.
Uh castro should win, I was just saying those are my back-up choices in case the first guy didn't show. Ronin is pretty inconsistent but he beat Baku in icc-cl 2-1, so he's not bad when he is playing...
Yeah it can be such a marathon. I enjoyed the cast L_master, at least, what I saw of it! Got a decent number of viewers as well, considering it's only qualifiers
