In this instance, Jaedong overprepped for sairs. I think he was to intent on preventing another humiliating loss similar to his match vs Bisu on match. In his usual ZvPs he always made mutas but with T1 so focused on air superiority, he decided that he couldn't critically balance muta and scourge so he went 100% scourge. About 60% of those scourge ended up doing nothing. Jaedong was planning on cementing a ground advantage and was self satisfied with one sunken and one spore at both nats - the spores hurting him a lot more. the early 4th was a mistake in his other vPs because he went mutas but in this case, dong was confident that he could amass drone count fast enough for a bigger hydra army. the mass scourge made it impossible to properly defend - even if he had defended, i think if he had stopped drone production after the initial scourge attack, he would've had enough hydras and drone count to secure an economic 4th. Another map factor was the high ground above the natural. once dong got complacent with his air control, the high ground was the perfect strategic decision from Park. Coach Park chose best because of how open the distance between the potential 3rd and his natural are. the long cliffs that act as an inlay to each base is ridiculously long and that prevents any zerg sandwiches - best prepared knowing this so he had decided on a majority goon count and more than usual hts to exploit that. it is easy for toss to lay in the pressure on this map, thus parks anti snipe. jaedongs strategy just happened to unluckily play into bests interests.

You see in Best's first attempt at Jaedong's natural how a single egg block foiled Best from busting it. It was pretty much the exact same thing at the third, but this time Jaedong's egg block was done incorrectly, allowing Zealots to wrap around the sunkens. Also it was rather clear Best had a better understanding of the map, since he abused the map very strongly. Like the DT kills in the beginning--should have not happened if Jaedong had it happen to him in practice before.

Baby played well, or maybe its Soo's vT... Sea played well, but Sun outplayed him, well ok with it. Jaehoon was a waste of time, Killer should tried his skills, but again vs who? Bisu? JD played bad. Fair score for SKT1

Fair score for SKT1 it's not an excuse, it's the reason why Jaedong lost the game and that's simply how he plays the game. He walks the wire and sometimes he'll fail, but more often or not he'll pull it off fantastically, which is why we all love to watch Jaedong play.
