Regardless of how the season ends, this is match I anticipated most. Two of my three favorite teams will battle for three days of sure-to-be-epic Brood War. Khan, team of never-ending-protoss, most struggle against the zerg hardened line of Stars. While ZvP is fairly balanced this proleague season, (51.1% thanks Bisu) Khan will have a tough time against ZvP masters ZerO and SoulKey. Likewise, Stars is facing problems outside their Zerg lineup. Terran ace Light, has laughable TvP and Really struggles to win without Dogspa interference. In form, Free can reverse the tide, but he struggles with a 35.3% win rate since March.
The match kicks off with Circuit Breaker. Terran Newbie hOn_sin is a ridiculous 6-0 on this map. Slumping Stork (7-3) would be a good choice to start off, except for SoulKey (9-6) waiting in the wings. Expect Khan to play it safe with Reality (maybe great). Either way, I expect a slumping SoulKey or nervous hOn_sin to drop the first set. SoulKey < Reality 0-1 KHAN On Neo Beltway—aka Terran-Turtle-Town—expect Stars to send out Light or Really. Reality is safe pick for KHAN, however Stork would be the smart choice. Light, who is actually 7-3 in his last 10 games could beat Stork straight up. However, I think Light will panic and cheese, or Really will just fail. Light < Stork 2-0 KHAN Looking Grim for Stars, La Mancha might turn things around. Grape, for what ever reason, is 9-3 on this map, and 61.5% vZ overall. We might see Light (8-4) or even Flying (7-3) from Stars. Still Grape is a rookie not used to high pressure games. Flying? > Grape 1-2 KHAN. Alternative isn't really imba PvZ. Bisu is imba PvZ, and without Bisu, this map is 50:50. Regardless, ZerO or SoulKeyiS my pick from Stars. ZerO is only 3-2, but most of that is 2-2 ZvZ. Khan would do well to send out ByuL (3-1) or great, but they will send out someone like Juni or Brave instead. Why? Trolluary. ZerO > Juni 2-2 New Bloody Ridge. Even though Protoss has a losing record vs both Terran and Zerg, this has become this seasons PvP map. JangBi (4-1) iS a popular choice on this map, but I see Brave (5-4) being played instead. On the Stars side, Woon is 5-1, when you factor in the prelims, however this map is the only real chance to play free (3-2). If JangBi isn't fielded, free will bring out what is left of his A game. Else, Woon will 3-hatch hydra fake Brave. Woon > Brave 3-2 Stars. Neo Aztec, epic map of this season. If he hasn't come in to play yet, expect Khan to field JangBi. Since the beginning of May, JangBi is 13-2 in standard games, with closes losses to Hydra and Jaedong, and is currently sitting 4-2 on Neo Aztec. Stars might try out ZerO (6-3) or Light (1-0), but if JangBi is actually playing on this map, both would be wasted. Instead, I will be boring and predict free. I know, I made the same prediction for Bloody Ridge, but at least in a mirror, free stands for a BO win. No matter who Stars sends, JangBi storms everything. free < JangBi 3-3 New Empire of the Sun is a headache for both teams. A common TvT and PvT map, Khan wants to field Stroke (2-1) or JangBi (0-0 but still awesome), but ZvP is 3-1 and ZerO is to risky for Stroke. Of course, Stars can't send Light (0-3) with the high chance of a PvT. ZerO would be great, except this map is horribly imba TvZ. Khan will either play it safe with Terran Reality or resend JangBi. Stars could do the same with Light or Really, but this is the playoffs, and I don't see anyone as Ace but ZerO. What we all want to see: ZerO <= JangBi 3-4 KHAN. What Trolluary will actually do: ZerO>great/TurN 4-3 Stars

Samsung KHAN has had the experience of winning their first match against CJ Entus in the 08-09 post season and then losing from behind, missing their chance of going further in the league. Because they have experienced being in high spirits and having it all crash down in one moment before at that time, even though Samsung has won day 1 of the Round of 6 playoffs against Woongjin, Stork said, "We will not be unprepared for what is yet to come." Although his results in the regular season were not that good, even though Stork who has much experience in the post season is nervous about it, with the goal of wanting Samsung to go high into the upper leagues, now is a critical stage where everything must be able to go smoothly.
Q: Your thoughts on winning? A: Out of all the Protosses on our team, my mood is the lowest among them, but it's a relief that I won. I'm happy that I was able to be of help to Samsung winning their 1st match in the Round of 6 playoffs.
Q: Did you get motivation from the rookies' victories? A: Reality did well as usual, and Grape had also defeated Really before in the regular season. Since I had faith that they would do well in the future as well, I thought that I just had to do well so our team could win, so it seemed that there weren't any problems.
Q: You played against a rookie, but did you expect your opponent's strategy at all? A: I thought of all the possibilities that could be used against me and prepared for them. Rather than having a planned strategy in mind, I let my intuitions and instincts lead the game. The build that Woon used today was one that I practiced against Captain oDin in the past, and since I defended against it successfully it was a huge help to me.
Q: You encountered many "Nalbil"s from Zergs in the regular season; did experiencing so many help you out? [T/N: Okay, "Nalbil" is Korean slang for a clever build, but I believe that it means cheesy builds in this context. Poor Stork, dying to so much cheese this season. ] A: Many of my losses in the regular season were due to build order losses, so I took that opportunity to think over it a lot. I wanted to have no trouble whether I won or lost, so the moment I saw that build today, I had a feeling that I had seen it before.
Q: Your goal for day 2's match? A: I remember how we won our 1st match against CJ and then lost 2 years ago. I'll set aside my happiness over today's victory for a moment and practice hard for tomorrow's match. Tomorrow we'll definitely settle the score and go to the semi-playoffs.
Q: Any last words you want to say? A: It's been a long time since we made the post season like this, so with half nervousness and half excitement I practiced until dawn, but I slept early in the morning and woke up. After a close hyung of mine who is currently enlisted in the military saw the articles that our team had advanced to the post season, he gave me a call. I hope that he stays healthy and takes care of his body in the military.
Congrats to Samsung for winning their first match against Woongjin, and I would translate Coach January's interview if the match wasn't starting in like 5 minutes! So here's a long time no see picspam instead!
Soulkey: *Blocks ZerO's path* ZerO: "Oh Soulkey... You think that you can be like that with me~?"
*Suddenly appears behind Soulkey* ZerO: "WELL THINK AGAIN, BITCH. HEADLOCK TIMEEEEEEEE-" Soulkey: "Ow ow ow ow okay okay I regret it hyung, I regret it T___T" hOn_sin: *Watching in the background* ".........."
Trolluary: "Hmmm... To troll, or not to troll today.... That is the real question....."
Really gets sent out against Grape! What's Samsung's reaction to this?
Stork: *Watching Really's play* "........." Jangbi: "Damn bitch, what the hell was that? Even I could play better Terran than that!"
How about Woongjin's reaction then?
ZerO: *Watching Really's play* "So... This is our 2nd best Terran playing right now?" Light: "Yup." ZerO: "And why do I have a feeling that our best Terran will get owned as well....?"
Really: *After losing to Grape* "Did I... Did I just get Graped....? For the 2nd time this season.....?"
*Reality, after winning against Light*
Reality: "Did you... get a taste of reality, Light?? Lololololol-"
Stork: "January, this bitch keeps on bothering me! From stealing mah seat to nagging me during the game, you gotta keep his ass off me!" Coach January: "Why do you keep on bothering Stork?! Do you have the hots for him or something?!? Do we have to deport you off to Woongjin?!?? I think that their team's style fits you better than here!!"
Samsung's reaction when free gets sent out:
...a standing ovation.
Brave: "Oh man, we have this game in the bag already." Sharp: "His name is so true! A free win to all!" Stork: "Good work team, I'm proud of you guys." Juni: "Heck, even I'm doing better than him these days!"
ByuL's BM ceremony against free:
Well, at least he didn't do a manner hatch!
Woongjin's coach Lee Jae Gyun: "...why did I send out those guys again? And why did I just do worse than Trolluary today?"
Samsung KHAN, ready to win their next match today? Who knows!
So excited to finally see Stars make the playoffs. I started following the BW scene in November '08 and quickly latched on to Zero as my favorite player and Stars as my team by extension. In both previous seasons I followed it seemed like Stars should have been good enough to make the playoffs but then both seasons they massively choked at some point. Hopefully with Zero finally making a SL final and Stars making the playoffs the age of choking is over!

Coach Lee finally realised that the only way they were ever going to make the play-offs is to buy another team's Ace player. And what better player to get than the one you rejected when he was an amateur. When in doubt, splash the cash.

Lol, someone's bitter about Light's trade.
Not bitter but sad. All MBC fans/players still are. The points are true though.
imho the winner of this will easily defeat the winner of kt vs stx to advance into the semifinal against cj.
well, this is assuming stork actually puts the anime/cellphone games/wow aside for the playoffs. but i think he will be back in ass-kicking form in time. ^^
It's amazing how "trending" the KHAN players are atm. Brave, Grape, Reality are all at or close to their elo peak and Jangbi is resurging. I hope for them to pull through.
ugh, why do these teams have to face each other instead of them against STX or KT :<.
I am kinda torn between who I want to win, big fan of Light(even after he was bought by Stars) and ZerO and Soulkey, but on the other hand there is the Samsung rookie team +Janbang and Storku.

damn.
Who gave you guys at the last match the very best goodbye sendoff from Post-season? Well there is your answer as who to cheer for.
One month ago I would have said this is impossible but Khan has a real shot at this.
- Jangbi is in an anti-slump atm. Crushing everything left and right. - Stork is slumping but his skill level and experience is so high that he might have something special in store in such an important game (like Kal had for Roro and Killer) - Reality was showing a lot of promise during the last month - even Brave is performing - then there is Great. Does anyone have info on him? He was in the MSL finals and then somehow just disappeared for no apparant reason. His results were still okay. Dont expect much from him though. - and last but not least Grape. I think this could be his breakout series. I would not be surprised to see some big things from him in the future.
Khan will win this, I think. Stars isn't the best anti-protoss team. Soulkey, Light, Really are all a bit weak vs. protoss compared to their other matchups. Free and Guemchi are sucking. Zero is favored to win against anyone on the Khan lineup but he's still susceptible to being sniped if the opponent has some good unorthodox build prepared (maybe Zero or Soulkey will get a Reality check).

Great has been washing Jangbi's underwear. I'm sure you know what i'm saying.
I have huge expectations for Zero. He hasn't shown a good ZvP since Bisu.
I think these are the two teams closest in skill, and I hope whoever wins will go on to play skt. I think I have to root for stars though. Should be fun.
i wonder if FBH would of unslumped regardless of going to ACE or not. imagine how scary KHAN would be if they had FBH at his current level as well as the rest of their lineup.

He said in an interview that before the army he had almost given up.
i love khan, but i think woonjin is too good. woonjin 4-3 with khan winning with jangbi, stork, grape and JANGBI FOR ACE!!! or jangbi is ace, then maybe woonjin lose 3-4.
Khan has a slumping Stork but a revived Jangbi with a couple of promising young guns mixed in. Stars has a whole ton of depth with a line of Really/Light/Soulkey/Zero/Free.
This is going to be very interesting to say the least

The more PvZ's, the worse off KHAN will be, methinks. Who knows which coach will get what he/she wants, though. Especially with the unpredictable January.

To be fair after an entire season of everyone screaming "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" every time she fielded Jangbi she's looking pretty good right now.
Also, consider Samsung's legendarily shoestring budget she basically has no choice but to develop her rookies, especially with FBH gone and Jangbi's slump. I don't really fault her "bizzarre" ACE decisions much considering.
I mean come on, people screamed for months about "Killer for ACE match" and Killer has developed into a well-rounded, reliable player as a result of all the work.

I don't know about you, but I was screaming when she played great, not Jangbi.
Still, she's raising a strong crop of rookies - something she's doing better than any other coach, at least right now.

Okay so SKT fans ultimately want SKT to win (duh), and the only real danger we face is CJ.
So, although SKT fans are usually Khan fans, we're really conflicted here: do we want the heroic Khan protosses to win some epic PvZs against the evil zergs of Woonjin (and then get crushed by CJ), or do we want Woonjin to potentially snipe CJ in the semis and make it easy for SKT?

Tough decisions.
Not sure if Woongjin would be able to snipe CJ with their main lineup...
I mean, they did win their most recent game against them, but sorta struggled against their mixed veteran and rookie line
But they were on iirc, a 5 game losing streak against CJ's main line.
It would probably be better for KHAN to advance to snipe CJ rather than Woongjin for SKT.

He's not even >50% in regular PL this season. If you include WL his record is somewhat better though.
lol Zona White guy! Both players not scouting yet; Grape 1 gate core; Really starting a wall off with a rax, Both players not going to be scouting in the correct position
1 rax cc? for Really Grape has his core spinning 3 marines slip and let the probe by Nothing in the bunker, probe gets through perfectly fine First fact going up

Killer's record. Jaedong's got to love having someone who's even a 55% player to back him up. Reliable? Not really. But with HiyA flailing, Killer's play was critical to getting OZ anywhere near playoffs this year. Also he's starting to show up in Starleagues, which is usually an indication of improvement.
Now back to your regularly scheduled Stars vs KHAN match - go Really!
2nd fact is under construction robotics is warping in Really is really scouting around Goons streaming to the nat of Really, 4 goons are hammering away, first tank is out Grape not going for the snipe Seige should be complete soon Complete Grape gets the bunker Moves in for the marines; the tank GOES DOWN
Robotics complete, Shuttle is out Ferrying probes over to 3 oclock first Obs is warping in, 3rd fact for Realy, and CC in main Vultures try to get into Grape's main, get to the ramp then denied Ebay started in the main; scan on Grape's main I think he got the Support Bay Turrets going up
3rd and 4th gateways being added for Grape Goons moving to the mineral only, where the CC is trying to land Goons hammering away at the CC, its in the red 3 vultures get into the main of Grape! Shuttle reaver go down Grape gets away with losing a few probes in main, a goon or two and the shuttle reaver 4th fact for Really
2 stargates; tribunal is up Vessel tech soon to be up Grape poking at 6 oclock Looks like hes oging to push Zealots are getting among the tanks! All teh zealots die, and the gons are being pulled back Tanks unseige, Grape being undecisive Moves back in, but the tanks siege quickly and push him back
Grape looking to take 1 nat, vultures swoop in and take out 2 cannons Nexus still going up Forge being added Arbiters are out Vessel tech is complete, I haven't seen any though ~9 gateways at 1 oclock for Grape Arbiter is above 6 oclock Stasis on lots of tanks! Grape is through the supply depots Tanks going down to the zealgoon army Vessel is out, Dmax on a tank, doesn't do much as the tank vessel and CC go down GG from Really
Grape's put down his 5th base. Arbs should give enough advantage to push in and win. Grape attacks the 4th, tanks move down but not enough, 4th goes down and Really ggs.
Watching the replay: Really was consistently defending from "behind" his expansions. I'm not sure whether he was trying to bait Grape into attacking (dumb, since Grape was ahead economically and therefore supply the whole game) or scared and trying to defend everything at once. Might have worked if his vultures had killed... like, anything, but as it was it was doomed.
Light vs Reality. Hey, two good players for a change!
Vulture speed done for both players Reality's vultures gather in the center of the map - now attack Light's outside his nat Reality has a few more - snowballing!
3 fact for Reality Lots of Vultures for both players Large vulture engagement Reality is pressing into Light's nat CC is getting focused Starport for Reality CC is still getting focused down, mines being laid around it Both players have starports CC is in the red First siege tank is out One marine behind the nat mineral line taking a few shots, not really doing anything
3 vultures are in Reality's nat, they die off easily 2 wraiths snipe a dropship, Lights dropship 4 fact for Reality 3 fact for Light So many mines, Both players need to remake their rax Reality pressing in with Vultures again 2 goliaths out for Light, they took a mine hit or something Light has 2 cloaked wraiths out 4th fact for Light
Reality moving forwards into Light's nat with mass vulture/tank and a few wraiths - Light's cloaked wraiths attack first - he wins the air battle with 1 cloaked wraith left but 2 tanks 3 vultures control his nat, scvs flee again
Reality reinforcing his push with Wraiths, doesn't scan and Light come sout ahea dwith one Wraith Vultures picking off scvs at the nat, tank is shelling the CC One wraith pew pew pewing away at the tanks Reality has expanded to 6 oclock, CC being repaired Vulture delays and scouts out 6 oclock
I'm not quite sure how Light's still alive. And I'm not sure how long it will last, he's been outplayed all the way. But for now - let's go! Comeback time.
Light pressing out not Huge mine takes out a vultures, and 2 tanks Reality is pressing out Light has a tank and a few vultures Light cancels a CC at 12 that he had under construction CC at the nat for Light instead
Light has 4 wraiths, snipe a dropship trying to get into his main Both players on no upgrades CC started at 5 oclock, for Light +1 is complete for Reality Vultures runby into 6 oclock, scvs mess up the ai, and minimal loses 2 facts being added, 6 Light massing wraiths Lands his CC at 3, mines sight the scvs maynarding
Reality setting up a tank line up the center of the map, with mines probably not enough turrets though?
Light's wraith mass attacking scvs at Reality's nat but Reality moving a large army to attack units at Light's nat - Light doesn't have enough to defend
Reality taking Center bottom left expo Light has a sizeable wraith force scv looking to start a CC at 9 oclock, vulture is hidden behind the mineral line CC has started Goliaths snipe a Valk, Light's valk Wraiths time to go pew pew pew, head straight into the nat, taking out scvs Reality pushing with a greater force! Light's nat is getting pushed into Reality's scv's at the nat are not mining though Wraiths come back to pew pew pew, goliaths are in position Light has tanks from the right lane taking shots at Reality's forces Reality pulls back
Reality now moving a huge army across the south of the map, Light's defenses there are light - Light bringing in more units and wraiths, but Reality's army is massive
Reality pushing the right lane, his +2 attack has completed Reality taking a flank! Golaiths making the Wraiths unable to push into the tanks Reality pulls back
Reality double-expanding with map control. Looks like he's intending to starve Light out, so this will take a while as Light's on 5 bases now/still, plenty of time for counter play!
Light has 5 nat now 2 ports for Light Reality double expanding to 11 and 11nat Reality looking to push from the top, holds his position Light has his wraiths patrolled at the ridge at 6 oclock Light is pushing out of 3 oclock, push is forced back 3 starports being added at 11 oclock for Reality Light pushing out at around 12 oclock Reality reinforces quickly +2 is complete for Light now Wraiths fly into some turrets 4 more starports at 11, 7 I think Reality wants 12 oclock Light pushing into the center from 3 oclock now Reality forced to run his troops around
Reality adding even more starports at 10.5 now Light taking center-NE, his 6th
Light moving west into the center of the map with tank/wraith - reality responding witha lot of goliaths but Light's tanks greatly outmass his own in the center
Light has Center top right Light giiving tanks away to Reality +3 complete for Reality? scvs being given to Reality Lots of wraiths being produced 5 ports from Light 1-1 for Reality's wraiths 1-0 for Light Reality is taking 12 oclock aswell
I'm not sure right now whether this is veteran savvy overcoming Light's early-game screwups, or if Reality's giving the game away, or whether TvT just takes so long that Light hasn't been forced to concede he's lost yet but he's still losing.
Wraiths taking out lots of tanks centre of the map Golaiths out of position Snag 3 wraiths for 4? tanks Reality moving out with his Wraiths Take out the top center forces of Light, Light does reinforce 1-1 for both players air force Reality gets a few tanks Also takes a valk volley or two
2-2 for Reality's wraiths 1-1 for Light's Air forces both just poking in and out of each other At Lights Center top right expo Reality isn't even mining from his Bottom left center expo CC being construed by Light in his main Tanks are shelling the tons of turrets at 12 oclock The wraith ball snags a dropship moving out Light's wraith ball is moving into 12
Cute scvs killing turrets at 6 Wraiths probably will follow Reality pulls his wraiths to kill them off I can't tell the ups anymore -.- Light not producing any more wraiths, either hes caped or AIRFORCE ENGAGEMENT Valks are the only thing left Reality left with about 6 wriaths Now nothing His starports are all still pumping though
Light doesn't even have any vehicle armor? would help a lot against wraiths.
Light moving another army across the top of the map - Reality responding with just wraiths - he has to back off though but now he cloaks and attacks again - Light scans when he has only 3 goliaths left it's costing him!
Light is pushing down the right lane, Reality's wraith tank force is there CC floated over to 12, by Light one turret poking away at it 1-2? for Light 2-2 for Reality Reality picks off the CC at Top right center mass goliath from Light is thinning the wraith numbers,
Light is pressing the area around 12 oclock, but only has 3 tanks left Light's tanks are lagging behind and Reality snags one I don't think Light is producing anything o.o Or my eyesight is bad
I almost think Light's playing for the draw at this point. He's just bouncing back and forth from top to bottom and back. Problem is, Reality has an untouched base at 10 (inside) that should be enough to win. Of course, I think Reality would have won by now if he'd just straight-up attack, so idk.
Both players setting up at 12 oclock again, No Light is keeping Reality on the move Reality picks off the distance mining scvs at Center top right Goliaths thinning out the wraiths Light's starports are lifted
Light is pressing through the tanks setup at 12 oclock, but Reality reinforces 2-3 for both players Tanks take out all of Light's goliaths GG from Light

yeah, to be fair it's the playoffs, he had like a 5% chance and that was basically reality doing something really stupid, but i can allow him playing on in the postseason

Zerg/protoss maps are 4th-6th set. I'm sure that's where they're putting their zergs at. Looks like they're playing this "standard" rather than trying for any sort of cute snipes.
Actually the first zealot does head to SK's 3rd - just 2 lings there - mining's going to get disrupted! not for ling - drones surround and 2 fresh lings finish off the zealot
Hydraling trying to break through zealots block the lings 3 cannons taken down but hydralisks back off and focus on the gateway for now 3 cannons 4 zealots/probes vs about 8 hydra more cannons added more hydralisks coming
Oh well, at least this loss was to soulkey. So even assuming Khan loses to Zero, Stars have free/guemchi/flying/woon left(am I missing anyone else)? Which should favor Khan.

Ummm.. Stork? Or did you mean if Stork loses to ZerO?

don't forget Sin! Though I highly doubt we'll play a third Terran
Well, it was cute while it lasted, but when P can just go "screw this" and kill you with 1 control of zeals you know you screwed up.
Woon under-committed and got a little too cute. Holding off 2 minutes for speed and then dropping *all* the hydra-ling in the main would have done the trick.
this isn't won yet, Khan has only Brave left and nobody else unless Great makes a Jedi return Stars still have Zero and he is favored against Brave. But if these two avoid each other I think Brave will get the needed win.

It's unfortunate the rest of the maps aren't good for terran. I want to see Turn. But likely will see great and brave instead.

Sorry to ask that question.. but how does the system right now work? Is it single-elimination? Or some kind of league as well? And are both, the KT vs STX, as well as the Woongjin vs Khan matches playoff matches?

Now I don't know who Khan has planned to send. This is a bad map for Terrans so TurN is not an option I think. great? Juni?
Well our last good player is free (who sucks atm) or GuemChi (lol not really) so send great and take advantage of the Z>P.
Today's series is a brilliant example of why I was hoping Stars could get to play STX first round instead of KHAN. :/ Still, I guess the team made the playoffs finally and that's a start.

Yes, they are both playoff matches and single elimination, but best of three so there will be games tomorrow between these teams too. The Winner will face winner from the other set to decide who faces 2nd placed CJ Entus.
Correct me if I am wrong here but if it is 1-1 after the 2 days a Super Ace match will be played to determine the overall winner.

I think we're better matched up against Khan than STX. The entries were far too much in Samsung's favor today - Really shouldn't play, and Bisang or Flying should play instead of Woon, imo.

That was two seasons ago. Now it's just a third Bo7. Although Effort vs Stork on Outsider and Effort vs Yarnc on HBR was amazing to watch.

Like said above I was wrong on the Super Ace match thing. It would be a third Bo7.

STX has fewer players that worry me. KHAN's got Stork/Jangbi/Reality/TurN/Grape, and great and Brave aren't bad either. STX has Bogus, Kal and Calm who can't get it together... and that's pretty much it. At the same time Stars really just has ZerO, Soulkey, and Light, but with free, Really, Guemchi being decent I'd put that up against any STX lineup and think we'd win at least 8/10.

Actually, looking at their, roster again, I think you're right. Although STX's plethora of Zergs (Calm, Modesty, hyvaa, hero) might turn Zero and Soulkey's almost-assured win into a crapshoot.
There has been talk of Great's future on the Korean communities recently, some speculating retirement or the military, whether that be as a normal soldier or into ACE... let's just hope that this is just a prolonged post-finals slump.
Lings break into the nat, kills the cannon and runs into the main picking off a few probes(now chasing a dragoon). more lings run into the main. now muta's join the fight, gg from free coming anytime soon? January smiling

Well, byul means star in Korean. I think his name means star.

Now we just need to find a way to sabotage Really so that Sin can play.

Free is, as the fighting games community would call, "free". Not sure why he didn't just play standard against a b teamer. His confidence must be at an all time low.
Noobie mistake by byul to not turn the ovie after seeing the probe(not paying attention to the minimap) won him the game but mistake by free to build his proxy where the not-turning-ovie seems to be going threw the game away.

Yeah, free and the Woongjin coaches have 20 hours now to think about why you would do a high-risk all-in against such a player, with so much on the line, and I am sure they will think about this a lot.
Massive fail by whoever decided for that strategy.
Ugh. I wanted to see some nice long macro games. But Stars just had to be cheesy. Soulkey's 2 hydra den, woon's gay little zergling drop, and free's proxy gateways... and went 1-2 in those games.
Man up, guys.
Edit: Okay, I forgive Free for his cheese. After all, he is going up against a guy with a 100% winrate in 2011. As well as someone with 100% career ZvP winrate. Free knew he had no chance in a straight up game, so it's fine that he cheesed.
You know, now that I think about it, Stars is actually a pretty crappy team. They have three good players and everyone else is hopelessly bad (Really is ok sometimes). If Zero/SK/Light don't win their games, they're pretty much fucked.

Zero/SK/Light/(Really) would have been a pretty nice line-up back in the Bo5 days. But I like Bo7 better since it showcases more players.

Things sure would've been going a lot smoother past his trade for stars, if they had still had him. Our 6th will always be shaky until we get a more solid rookie or guemchi returns to form ( not convinced over just 1 game against Major).
Less than 3 hours to the 2nd game and theres no LR thread, so do we just continue posting here for the games today? I would made one, but im slightly on the busy side, so it ll be hard to maintain.. More importantly, im absolutely clueless on how to make one :3
On July 10 2011 11:25 Release wrote: any reason why this day 2 match starts 1 hour earlier than the KT STX one?
Not really any reason given, I think. I believe that it's something to do with the game location; perhaps Yongsan iPark Mall is having some kind of event that will cut into the game time. But don't quote me on that.
