Nah, some valks (let's say 6) would've been good, provided that the wraiths clumped up some. Still, with that number of wraiths he'd have probably lost most if not all valks due to return fire, but it probably would still take the majority of Fantasy's wraiths, which would've given Sea a much needed breather by regaining air superiority (or rather neutrality).

If Fantasy's wraiths got first strike, any Valks probably would have done little.
There's a sprite limit in Brood War. There are a lot of wraiths and a lot of wraith missiles. If they go first, the Valks won't fire because there are too many sprites on the screen lmao. Its why when people go mass wraiths, pros nearly never respond with Valks because you basically get owned; I think there's a game where Leta goes BC/Valk against Light's wraiths (Grand Line or Fighting Spirit I forget) and Leta basically gets completely raped because there's too much shit on the screen for his Valks to fire.
Fantasy probably would have been an asshole and brought SCVs over if such a situation occurred.
