But lady luck smiled upon me and let me succeed in a zealot runby, so I was able to nullify my disadvantage. Compared to SPL, your individual league performance has been disastrous.▲It's really pitiful. I prepared the same amount for both, but the individual league games were just rough. My opponents were certainly strong, but a lot of the time they were just able to completely counter my strategies. Overall, I think my luck wasn't that great. Day 4's only point of interest is seeing whether or not Stork and Jaedong may meet before the finals. Although I think based on Kespa rankings, it's impossible for them be on the same side of the bracket. Not sure though.

Observer manage needs improvement from Sun. Basically flew 3 into hydralisks together.

Sun handled that engagement terribly. Had his observers haphazardly move to the front and get all 3 sniped. Sun has no detection against lurkers.

I think efficient is the best way to summarise that performance from Bisu.
Wemade have a few head-aches for Bisu though - Shine, Baby and Pure. I wonder who they'll go with?

There has been a general trend in PvZ of just going for early hydra busts like that and just winning. Bisu made it look like a terrible strat, but it has had a lot of sucess lately

if you're relying on hyrdas for defence you need to get outside your choke so you can join them all up. if you turtle too hard you won't be able to get all your hydras together.

It seems reasonable for SKT to send a newer player as the first set and if he loses, depending on the race, send Best vT, Bisu vZ, Fantasy vP.

Bisu is setting up new PvZ Elo peak of all time with each win. If he all-kills 4 zerg from Wemade, yeah, it will be hard to break that record.

Don't dismiss a player just by his winnrate. Pure does have a good PvP, and was on a 9 win streak recently. He has wins over Shuttle, Stork, Free, etc.

Pure's PvP started looking really strong in the Proleague playoffs last year. Since then, his record has been very good against strong opponents, although his most recent two games are losses to Stats and Tyson.
That he's 52% over his career isn't relevant.

How do you figure? Pure had double the probe production for a significant amount of time. I suppose he did lose too many units in defence but still it would have been evened out not Bisu ahead.

Pure had his natural up rather earlier so I would actually argue that despite multiple reaver snipes due to the lack of a shuttle, they went into the latter stages reasonably after Bisu's failed attack, sticking his dragoons on the corner, vulnerable to scarabs. Bisu lost about 6 dragoons there, and was forced back across the bridge to get his third up. Pure got his third at a similar timing. The army size difference was quite small it looked like.

Pure got the econ advantage early with that expo but Bisu evened it out with the contain. He got his third up and running before Pure even started his. That plus the map control gives Bisu the advantage. Pure had to bust out at some point or he'd just get overwhelmed later.

more like his mistake was trying to take 4 bases with only an egg block to save him. You cant rely on something unreliable to defend and expect to win vs a competant player

I've been offtopicing for way too long already, but I have to say it: I'm not a fan of results. Cheering for the player on a huge winstreak might feel good, but when he drops off the face of the earth, the casual fan abandons him like a piece of trash. I'm not that kind of fan. I cheer for players whom I like no matter their results, and though defeats hurt, victory is all the sweeter at the end.

I went away for couple minutes and missed Bisu v.s. Shine
Thanks to the magical powers of GTR's crew, I actually missed absolutely nothing rofl.
The FPV at the end of the game was kinda funny. Bisu's screen was fast enough to induce a seizure while Shine's screen movement is about the same as mine.

Bisu has a shuttle w/ reaver in Baby's base. Few dud scarabs here and there, though Bisu does manage to score some kills before dying to a wraith sniping shuttle

I think he would have won anyway his eco advantage was ridiculous and had a huge gate count. He literally could have just macro a-moved to victory.
Don't think BaBy played that badly Bisu was just abusing the cross map position and push distance to the maximum.. not sure what he could have done there besides better defence of his 4th and getting the bottom left secured.

I'm glad that Bisu used a bit more HTs in his army mix today, he obviously learned from his past games! :D But Baby put up a good fight as well, it was hard to tell who would come out as victor for a while.

Well in the recent Bisu vs. Flash ace match, Flash had turtled harder than Baby did and iirc Bisu didn't have any storms and only one or two arbiters. Bisu had a lot of bases and gateways (just like in this game) but couldn't stop Flash. Hopefully, he's learning.

map layout was a lot different in Icarus also, Circuit Breakers allowed for Bisu to snipe that 4th CC twice, whereas in Icarus Bisu couldn't really do much damage econ-wise because he needed a recall to do so (which Flash denied extremely well)

Going into tonight's matches Bisu's all-time (and current) peak was 2269 and Nada's (4th all-time behind Flash, JD and oov) was 2288. Not sure if he'll top that, but he should pass at least Light (2278) and Boxer (2281).

Can some non Bisu fan tell me which games are worth watching ? I find macro PvP boring 90% of the time, and I am very wary of polls in that sort of case... And I don't have much time for bw this week end.

The polls are not populated by only Bisu fans, and it's not as divided as if that were the case.
But I'll try to give you my descriptions of the games.
Game 2: Bisu straight up owns his opponent. If you don't like that, skip it, but I thought it was a nice show of how to PvZ. This is really the only game that's only fanboy-friendly.
Game 3: PvP with a few battles, watch that if you like those kinds of games.
Game 4: Really interesting PvZ, definitely worth a watch.
Game 5: A great PvT, lots of harass and constant battles. Definitely watch.
Basically, Game 5, 4, 3, 2 is the order of how good they are. I'd watch all of them if you have some extra time, but if not watch Game 4+5.

The thing is, during R1 I had to endure tons of boring PvP macro games on central plane while maybe one was good (some had 90%+ recommandation), and lots of Bisu roflstomping stupid zergs because of polls, and like 10% of those were good, and given the number of Bisu/SKT fans, I am a bit worried (I don't really blame them though).
Was gonna watch game 5 anyways, as Bisu vs a good (but streaky ) terran is pretty interesting imho.
I also think WL games are often overevaluated, as the format is much more exciting to see live (but 6 in the morning is pretty hard ).

Now I'm REALLY gonna be going over and over how Bisu might have done in the MSL if he had faced anyone but Stork in the Ro16. With his lack of individual league results it really doesn't seem right to say "he's back" in terms of the Bisu who was on top in the past but all the same in the Proleague he is one of the top 3 players without a doubt and is crushing it. Bisu Bisu Bisu... always so confusing -_-

Wow go Bisu. Only mar is against Flash and that's not a big deal. Even with him dropping out of his individual I can see him staying almost in place due to good play in WL.

well to be honest bisu v zerg is a clinic, some people (including me) likes to watch the way he plays pvz. its so different from someone like... sun game1 where he had no sense of army control whatsoever and got stomped

God pure sucks. Get an eco advantage then forget about half your army on a bridge.

This is such a terrible and ignorant statement altogether. KT fields Flash last when the whole team has failed, and the games normally end up with Flash winning the final 3 sets for KT to win, as such it is KTFlash.
On the other hand, when SKT fields fantasy he gets multiple wins and someone else contributes to the clean up. In these past two games, SKT happens to field Bisu 2nd, and he happens to destroy the other team. It's not as though he was playing clean up in either game. We still didn't get to see Fantasy, and Best play.

I loved that there wasn't an option to say the games weren't good in the last couple sets, only that you don't like bisu or that you can't appreciate good games. Well done OP!

I think he was joking. I think we all recognize the difference between a 4-1 allkill and a 4-3 allkill. It was also an issue that in both of Bisu's AKs, he was sent second because the other team's winner in the first set was a Zerg. It's BvZ, FvP and BestvT.

Aside from cheering bisu I'd like to say Sun got some beast macro at p v z though he failed to protect templar/obs and therefore lost. He could soon become a another top notch protoss (faith ftw)

ah come on some BvZ in the first round where the zerg almost won but Bisu somehow pulled it out were awesome... like the game verse great i think??? where great was dropping and bisu just pushed and won???
But yeah I'd say the games get better a whole lot towards the end... the first one is just bisu rolling a guy... 2nd one had a good beginning but then pure just failed utterly... the rest are awesome ~
