More Hype!
P.S. Format stolen from Shinshady who probably stole it from someone else. I'd wait for some sort of consent, but I'd much rather have a thread a day early than making one 5 minutes earlier. P.S. 2 Images from Fomos and dailyesports.com P.S. 3 STX got this EZ

Fuck you man.
Not my fault some people don't join in on my STX (and ACE) love. Edit: Only included that option due to reading a lot of ACE and STX hate compared to other teams. I really love the teams, but I love free speech more. EDIT2:

The MBCGame homepage also says that it'll be at 18:00 KST. I couldn't find the OngameNet calendar (I don't speak Korean), so you'll need to ask someone else about that.

Hoping for Classic, alright. He'd better perform so STX can have a fearsome Terran line.
Bogus is already doing well, Classic and Last will start to do well this season. STX's Terran line will be much better this season, and hyvaa boosts the already rape-tastic Zerg line, and Kal and Shuttle holding down the Protoss line? STX rapes every team in a Bo7, including the SKT1 scum and the overhyped KTFlash.

Don't know about last, but if Bogus could continue performing well, STX will have no competition.

Classic outperformed Hyvaa last season, in my opinion. When Classic lost you could tell that confidence had something to do with it. Hyvaa would just get lost in the mid game and stop playing. I hope they can both grow with STX, anyway.
The best showcase of how Classic performed is his STX Masters match against Hogil, I think. For the first half of the game he plays quite poorly. Then he regains his confidence and executes a push where he doesn't seem to lose a single goddamn marine.

good question - but I'd assume that if M18M is able to play then FBH should also be (edit: given that FBH joined ACE earlier than M18M); I also recall seeing FBH on the roster

Normally when I watch a Toss do stuff like this I rage so hard, but I just love it when it's Much. He has the most brilliantly abusive playstyle ever. XD

agreed also, although the difference with Much is he can play PvT straight up as well (or at least he used to... iirc)

Yeah, Much's PvT is by far his best matchup, I still remember his cannon cheese vs July on Medusa though, that shit was awesome.

Kinda sad for Frozean... When he sucks, usually his team owns rest of games. When he wins games that means team loses :D Happened end of last season when Frozean did win lot of games and team didn't.
Poor guy, his image of hard working progamer with 40% win rate. Feels like everybody does something funky against him. He must be solid player if coach almost always picks him first set.

Although it's sad that we might be losing a stream, have to respect Roffles' desire to watch GSL.
Also, he has to do his TL duty. There's a whole -legion- of SC2 fans that have not been introduced to kpop yet. Roffles can't stand idly by and let that happen!

Can't believe that this game started out 1 base vs 2 in Clam's favor and now it's 3 to 2 in ggaemo's favor.
Also, heard Tasteless effectively say 'Why watch BW when SC2 is out and is totally better.' I understand he has a job at Gom, but whether that's Gom's position that he is just going with or it's his personal opinion... it's a sad comment to hear either way.

He and Artosis are constantly going on about how SC2 is the greatest blah blah. Feels like propoganda to me. All I know is the only time I'd watch SC2 is when there isn't any BW to watch. There really is no comparison b/w the two as far as viewing goes.

I understand that some might like StarCraft II over BW, but to me it's a boring game that happens to have a colorful 3D graphics (notice how I don't say easy on the eyes.) I watched every game in the first GSL, and there was only a handful that I actually enjoyed watching; there's really no awe factor in the game for me.
The fact that Tasteless would jump on everyone who loves BW as much as I do is disheartening. I can understand him wanting to promote SCII, but don't force your opinion on me.

He did it out of charity. It's not up to us. Tasteless slightly paraphrased: "...if you did follow SC 1, you don't follow SC1 now because SC2 is so much better, then fou were a famous clan there."

Oh yeah totally. These guys are clearly viewing this as a long-term job opportunity - it just feels so insincere to me. Money talks.
Its not that strange tbh. Tasteless and Artosis is actually paid to live out their dream in korea. To sit and commentate on pro sc2 and get paid for it, of course they will do what they can to boost SC2 so they can keep doing that.
BW is superior to SC2 but sadly SC2 will win the battle.
And the first SC2 GSL game is the Terran just spamming nothing but Marines, not even rallying them all correctly and leaving at least a dozen behind once his initial attack wave starts and still wins with ease.
Oh the tension. The amazingness. I am on the edge of my seat. With awe, you know. Yeah.
SC2 has potential, I won't deny that, but I don't feel it's to a really good point for spectators just yet.

I think after the last battle before the stream switched Calm had a muta count advantage but it wasn't that much; I guess 3 hatch production evened it out faster and ggaemo would have free reign of Calm's unprotected nat (lings sniped spores during the battle)

Seriously, I've never heard anyone rambling non-stop about how BW or even WC3 are such a great games. It was a fact and common knowledge, it didn't need to be stated over and over again.
To be fair though, you cant expect SC2 to have as high skilled and entertaining games as the BW pro scen. SC2 will get better and better over time and even though you can argue over the fact that its better to watch BW now, I can see how some people want to be there from the start.

That may be so, time will tell.
I've listened to enough of Tasteless and Artosis though to know that those guys just don't do it for me. Too many mistakes regarding unit names, players names, and generally just not very interesting analysis.

It's not right to hear BW being dissed by professional SC2 commentators. None of the BW commentators diss SC2 when they're commenting on proleague matches so it's rather unprofessional for them to diss BW, even if Gom is their boss now.

Already 2-0, and they haven't used the Kong nor M18M. Glad to see Frozen losing, he's the progamer I hate the most. Hopefully Kal and Shuttle should win their game since Ace doesn't have any good vP player.

Good point, especially if it occurs when they're casting GSL. Seriously, what use would they have saying SCII is such an awesome game which is superior to BW in ever way, when people are already watching the GSL?
I gave SCII a try, and I don't deny that it will probably be more enjoyable to watch over time, but right now it's an eyesore that brings little enjoyment. I doubt they'll ever change the graphics, so it will always be a pain to watch, but if HotS adds some units that bring excitement (like reavers, lurkers, mines, etc did for BW.) then I may give it another chance.
As far as the graphics go, it's just such a pain to watch as a spectator. Even my noobie ass can enjoy playing SCII a bit and the graphics don't bother me too much when I'm playing, but it's a pain to watch.

I played a few weeks in the beta but it sucked so I stopped and went back to BW. I never watch sc2 but often watch BW streams when I can find one.
Still my personal feeling is that as time goes by, SC2 will grow stronger and stronger and by doing so, push down BW further. BW will always be played by a good amount of people, but I think that the pro scen in Korea will eventually die. Especially now since the kespa blizzard relation is so tens.
But hey, nobody would be happier if I was wrong then me. I love BW!
The whole dissing thing is just big brother vs little brother, with SC2 being the latter, and feeling like it has to justify/prove itself all the time.
As long as we, the BW fans, keep supporting it, it has a fighting chance.
BW fighting!
Now back to the more interesting stuff - 2-0 Ace. Time for STX to start showing their depth.
this'll be interesting to see how good trap really is.
I don't know if he was playing seriously, but when I saw him playing in Shanghai he hardly won a best of 5 against Legend who already retired. Terrible army positionning, macro decent at best... which are the two key skills in PvP. Well, let's see !
Trap could've held the counter attack even if the Shuttle was alive, he would've just waited for one more round of units in the main before engaging, that wasn't a game-changer imo, though it certainly helped.
Trap attacking right in the timing when M18M was getting Storm up and not having units sealed it. Great decision making/defenses from Trap that game :D

What? Expansion towards the oppponent is usually a good position. You can harass, expand and attack in the same direction. M18M did turn the tables a little on Trap though in this position by playing very agressively, and sacrificing quite some economy for his advance. A heavy 6 gateway attack off 2 bases, taking his sweet time taking the 'obvious' third, and never truly establishing the 4th in the middle - with which he would have shifted the positions into his favor. Not to mention the weird decision of morphing 14-16 templars to archons in a very short timespan. Maybe he thought Trap would transition into DAs with feedback, since he had so many dts out on the field? Or maybe he just figured he wouldnt have the multitasking for effective storms, and concentrated on reaver/shuttle micro instead? Anyway, it seemed like a serious macro slip to me.
Losing that shuttle didnt change that much, it was already a miracle he almost saved both reavers and the shuttle after flying headfirst into dragoons, too bad he got too greedy after the amazing micro, and didnt sacrifice one of them.
... Have I said yet this was a great game? :-p Anyway, onto the next now.

For TvP expansions going towards enemy is good but PvP not.
Classic played this really well, that double expand to 4 bases sealed the deal early on. He walked into some minefields to make it seem close, but it wasnt

Well Rock was on fire that tournament... Beating Flash too
I was begging for him to attack after his hold and 5th gate. He shoulda hit after making that first round of units. But who am I kidding. It's Rock. It's always better his way.
