WeMade FOXvsWoongjin Stars Set 1: Fighting Spirit Set 2: Fortress Set 3: Grand Line SE Set 4: Judgment Day Set 5: Match Point Set 6: Polaris Rhapsody Set 7: Fighting Spirit
Set 1: Some nice ZvZ, that lasts until devourers clean it up. Skilled-wise not the best one, but at least entertaining, and in comparison to the ZvZ's of the last few weeks probably the best one! Set 2: not recommended, some standard ZvZ, nothing you haven't seen yet. Set 3: recommended! Nice ZvT, a lot of action, nice drops from winner, really entertaining, and many tech switches Set 4: not recommended, some cheese that succeds
wemade guy is quite painful to watch... he probably could have ended the game early on with better micro ling/ muta. STX zerg is now ahead with upgrades
3rd hatch going up for Sacsri. Soulkey sneaks a ling into Sacsri's main to harass the drones, none get killed. Looks like Sacsri was thinking about doing a ling runby until he saw the simcity at SK's nat. Hive going up for SK now.
Sacrsi has quite a lot of mutas, more than soulkey. But Soulkey should be capable of defending his base due to spore count I think. Since Soulkey is also getting HIVE!!! Maybe he can pull off some sexy plague/ensnare ftw.

stx wut
the woongjin zerg reminds me of soulkey, my bad. oh wait, he IS in Woongjin not STX
Sacsri has a total of 4 hatches to SK's 2 but he's way behind in tech. SK getting a third hatch up now and has devourers out. Looks like he's going to attack.
Sacsri does a nice split with his huge muta group and completely surrounds SK's air force. SK's lings run over Sacsri's nat and it looks like SK wins the game with a better air army.

Both had 3 hatches for long time until Sacsri went 4th hatch.
BTW sick amount of drones in Soulkeys natural --> preparing for third gas and devourer mineral requirements.

Red, aka Soulkey Roro Gged after the mass ling run @ his main leaving him with 2 drones and about 7 mutas... Soulkey on 2 bases fully defended with spores had almost no way of losing.
Don't know why if TL counts WCG games where only 30 players can participate when GSM all teams can participate (air Force ACE not included)....
i think it comes from an anomaly that would have occurred last year which'd have seen hyuk listed as the best zerg in the world, which couldn't be allowed to happen

Zero is 9-0 this month
He is 3-0 only... Because TL doesn't count GSM.

the big thing is
kespa recognizes wcg korea, they don't recognize gsm which makes it unofficial, ie basically scrimmages
Maybe recognizes but those games won't effect KeSPA rating, So WCG games are unofficial too (players even chat inside game which is not allowed KeSPA game)
Soulkey wisely taking the islands while he still can. Seen too many games where terran turtles up with mech and starves the zerg. Controlling the islands will help out that problem big time.
This ling to tank, hydra to dps just after that under swarm, and ultra drop of top of tanks was sexy ! But only tanks/vessel nothing to back them up :<
JD could learn a few things from this kid vs mech, nice play particularly the effort/zero style ultra bombs and unit composition. Seems Zero is teaching woonjin zergs how to properly deal with this style of terran

the ultra/ling/defiler mix that everyone criticizes when Z loses?
Sure its hard to compare performances, but in general, the early mid-game is controlled by the zerg while the terran consolidates. From there soulkey controlled the game.
Soulkey did really well mid-late game with defilers, drops, and overall decision making. The most important part IMO is continuing to expand and control the map.

Well what I was getting at is that how the Zerg is able to combat mech in the lategame is so heavily dependent on the setup from the early/midgame. The most common form of mech right now is the bio into mech, which usually leaves Terran on near-equal economic footing as they get their mech army rolling. In this case Mind wasn't able to hit the midgame timing and get map control and so he was in a hole already.
Soulkey played great, I was just trying to address that in live report threads people tend to be wayyy too results-oriented when evaluating decisions/unit composition, and not look for the underlying causes. I'm not disagreeing with you or konadora.

Let's not get carried away here. Soulkey was playing MIND on Grand Line SE and JD was playing SEA on Polaris Rhapsody.

mind opening seemed much different from the traditional mnm opening into mech, because of this i think this "kid" was able to exploit the late vessel and grab a super fast 4th. I mean, reason this "kid" did so well, he had a great early and mid game.

Wow, his team doesn't seem too enthusiastic. Impressive achievement either way for a relatively new player!
Still, I have no idea what Wemade was thinking, sending a 30% PvZ (now even lower) player. Nada really would have stood a much better chance methinks, or Baby, or Pure, etc..
GG
Look at their lineup. They don't care about GSM. Not many teams seem to really care all too much about it.

wcg korea games are offical, at least they have counted last year... if thats not to true then idk why wcg korea games are counted.
The live reporting from the last match, lucifer vs soulkey, was 99% them complaining it wasn't baby, complaining it wasn't nada, talking about the all kill, and making jokes about the players.
1% was the last post where the guy said "GG" and then following was 20 posts about all kills.
Soulkey is actually good, Guemchi sucks... Surprised no interview, I guess GSM not that important. Also, hoping Leta comes to Woongjin, him and Poor Man's Flash (hon_sin) can balance out their T line-up making them a very formidable opponent to anyone.

He definitely has strategic and game sense, but his micro isn't the best. Just recall what happened when he played the actual Lee Young Ho in the regular season on Grand Line....

Stars are kicking ass!
Yeah but in WeMade's defense, they look at the STX masters as a way to train their B team. Sacsri and Lucifer (and sort of Mind too nowadays) aren't really their star lineup. Kudos to soulkey though.

There you go, the actual Lee Young Ho makes everyone except a selected few look like noobs.
