HoeJJa throws down his expansion with no harassment, but Movie feels comfortable at cross positions and warps nexus before cannons

1. A lot of people thought Effort fluked his way into the OSL finals, in part because of the tiebreakers. Maybe he should have lost the tiebreaker but the fact of the matter is he's been playing great ever since then and people have been so blinded by the tiebreaker that they've willfully been overlooking this. 2. When Effort plays his best, he is an elite player. He was not overrated in 2009 - if you actually watched his play you saw someone who was as good as anybody not named Jaedong. Lately he's been back in form - sure his ZvT looked shaky for awhile but he looked shaky in general. Even before this game he was looking like the same guy he was in 2009 - that is to say a beast who was virtually invincible against Terran. He just hadn't played ZvTs to show it recently (though actually he had in a great game against Fantasy but everyone discounted that because of "Fantasy sucks TvZ" blind hate again) 3. This map is quite different from every map they'll be playing in the finals. Even Polaris Rhapsody is more similar to Match Point than Judgement Day is to any map in the finals rotation. All we "learned" from this game was that if Effort gets a huge advantage early on, he has the late game skills to finish the deal, even against someone as good as Flash. This shouldn't have been surprising to people as Effort's always been an insanely good late game player but I guess all the Effort hate from the last few months has clouded this. We also "learned" that Flash's defense is amazingly good but even he can't come back from such a big early game disadvantage (caused by him being uncharacteristically sloppy and a BO loss). All in all, Flash vs Effort is likely going to be an entertaining and competitive finals. Glad that this game happened so more people can see that now instead of all the "boo Kal would have been better" BS. Yeaaaaaaah right - Kal vs Flash is the final that everyone should have been dreading, and I'm glad we didn't get it.

It's good to see new builds every once in a while, and Mech vs Z is actually quite interesting. Besides, blame fantasy if anyone :p OoV had good bio play. Fantasy's the one that needs this stuff, lol. I agree. Fantasy was single-handidly responsible for Swarm Season imo lol

How many Starleagues were won by Terrans because of Fantasy's revolution? 0000000000. Fantasy made it to 2 OSL finals, he wasn't a failure.

Both players know that Effort isn't stupid enough to throw away a bunch of ultras to tanks like that in a game that really matters. The thing is, for all that mass tanks and mines wreck ultra/ling, mass tanks and mines wreck pretty much everything else on the ground as well. Ultras take a ridiculous amount of punishment, and ultras in overlords are just nasty.

EffOrt is now on a 12 game win streak after that, with 3 vT, 6 vZ, and 3 vP in very convincing fashion. Sure, he did have a... mouse malfunction, but nobody can say that he isn't a very good player. He was definitely the second best Zerg after Jaedong for most of 2009, and he's certainly looking to be the second best Zerg right now... In other news, Spire going down.

He's had a few good games vs people like Bisu and Kal to which people extrapolate out to being really good zvp which is just not true. Edit: Don't get me wrong i love hoejja so very much ![]() Well, it is his best match-up though... His ZvZ is terrible and ZvT not much better.
