Shinhan Bank Proleague 09-10 Round 4 Week 2 vs. Air Force ACE vs. Hwaseung OZ Monday, Apr 19 9:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) Lineups will be announced before each game.
I love OZ to death, but they are just one of those teams who can never definitively win. Almost all of their matches are 3-2, 2-3, etc. Then again, I guess thats why I love them so much. But it just makes all of their games so stressful when they lose, but so awesome when they win. Unfortunately, Air Force ACE has the ultimate weapon: DarkElf who I have declared is Jaedong's kryptonite. If anyone can beat Jaedong on Air Force ACE, it shall be he!
I really don't like this map..... : [ HiyA wins because he breathes in all the oxygen in the stadium with his advanced mouth-breathing technique and Much suffocates. He also does something with tanks or something, idk.
Even though DarkElf is his kryptonite... this is a hard map to outplay The Dong on. It is going to be hard for DarkElf to win, but he may be able to pull it off. Match of the night.
I really want to see BackHo play again.. I like him : [ Anyway... another match with some potential goodness to it. If he does play, it is a toss up (teehee, puns). And the only reason I say Reach wins, is because OZ isn't allowed to 3-0 any team. It wouldn't be OZ without a Jaedong ace match.
Another map I dislike... on almost any other map I would say Killer wins... but this map is just so disgusting. And like I said before: It wouldn't be OZ without a Jaedong ace match. Even against Air Force ACE.
JD moves 4 lurkers towards Ruby's mnm - mistake Ruby scans and kills them all - now 8 is defenseless - the drones run, 2 more lurkers run in the back, one is killed another is killed and another
Ruby's army arrives at 6 - the drones run, hydra lurk in response - tanks too strong, mnm and goliaths as well - JD has to pull back and give up the base

I cannot wait for kids to read too much into this and start screaming slump
If you dont think his ZvT has been complete shit recently you are the one that's delusional, ever since he forgot to hit "c" at match point his games have been terrible.
The way JD burrowed his lurkers left them so vulnerable
first - he moved 4 lurkers forwards into mnm with no ling support. Then, later he moved in lurkers one by one in a desperate attempt to save his base and allowed them to get picked off one by one...

Fucking up 2 hatch lurker and getting 2 port wraithed by Baby, 2 hatch muta running head first into valks, losing to Light who was just on fire...
This is not "complete shit" he still only 4-6 in his last 10. This is bad but Jaedong has ALWAYS been a streaky player. We see him drop random proleague sets all the time, but we he actually sits down and practices for a best of 5 he will rape face.
Xellos sends a small army to the left side of 1 - they siege up - Hiya also has some forces there - hiya scans 11 and 10 - his dropship catches all of Xellos's scvs in the maynard!!!
Xellos definitely had the lead at the start. Threw it away getting dropship harassed and not using dropships of his own. Hiya has this now, just slowly killing off the last of Xellos' stuff.

Well he tried to maintain his lead with a contain, but Hiya went dropships and totally made Xellos's meticulous tank/turret/mine lines useless.

Actually I agree. If the coach wasn't going to send JD, Hiya is a much better choice. Unless Hiya wasn't told to prepare and had no game plan in mind.
Ruby tricks Killer into thinking his main is available to scout by allowing a ling past a firebat and rine, but there's 3 more rines above which finish off the ling.
Killer expands to 6. Why bother when it'll be razed soon enough?
Why the fuck send KILLER to Ace when you know their only viable ace player is A FUCKING 60%+ TERRAN!! Jaedong had a better chance. Seriously what's Oz thinking? "They know we think they'll send ruby so we'll send a protoss so they'll send a zerg so we send killer for ZvZ". Too bad oz protosses embody the term mediocre

Usually I would agree, but JD didn't seem to be in the best state mentally....
well, i think, JD lost on purpose! This is all a clever plan to build up Killers morale, since he always gets asked, if he is miniJD... and he always had to deny it But if JD continues like that, Killer can get a true miniJD and everyone is happy. Well maybe except Oz-Fans.
wow i really didn't expect ACE to win against hwaseung. seems like Ruby, who already played outstanding last season, is the new corner stone of ACE. actually i'm a bit surprised about that because when he played for mbc (am i correct on that?!) before he went to ACE, he was medicore at best...

nice nice nice. ace fighting!
When you've got Sea and Light on the same team as you, it's hard to get enough games to improve, esp given the proleague race rules back then. He wasn't mediocre though, he still managed to consistently qualify for MSL.
I still can't understand why they wld send a zerg against Ruby when he's 65% against z and just tore JD up. Unless Coach Cho wasn't expecting Ruby? But that's just plain dumb.

No longer Jaedong Oz. Its really Hiya doing all the grunt work these days lol.
Na, Jaedong's still getting more wins. It just doesn't feel like that cause we're used to seeing him win every game and Hiya win just once in a while. Times are tough if ur a zerg nowadays I guess

He always had good tvz even in mbc. He got overshadowed with sea and light but in tvz he was making a bit of a name for himself. Actually there was even a moment where it seemed he picked up his vs t and p but only for a small moment. Then after losing to by.hero it seemed his confidence vs zerg fell apart. It is surprising though how after moving to ace not only is he playing well he seems to be playing on the same level vs z wise when he was back in mbc maybe i can even say better.

A clinically depressed Jaedong would have a better chance to win than Killer ZvTing on Battle Royal

Typical Terran. I used to get pissed at PvT only Protosses but in this day and age TvZ Terrans seem worse
A typical Terran isn't 30% vs T, think about it logically. Ruby's TvT is really sub-par, Oz shld have sent Hiya, even if he's been practicing only for MSL.

by typical terran I meant really good in TvZ and then a resounding meh or worse in other matchups. Given recent trends these terrans are becoming even more abudant. Take light for example. Top notch TvZ and getting raped by Perfectfail in a BO3

Of course each race has it's strongest matchup and TvZ has always stood out.
But my point was that most Terrans are about even (46-55%) against other Terrans but Ruby is very weak in that matchup, hence putting Hiya in wld have been better.
Light just plain choked against PerfectMan after all the hype during WL about him possibly challenging Flash. His 46% TvP isn't good but not epic fail. He shld have beaten PM.
Ruby was fairly strong even back when on MBC. The problem is that MBC was too Terran loaded. They already had Sea and Light. On a different team Ruby might have had more play time.
As it was, he showed really strong TvZ pretty much throughout his career. Regarding TvP and TvT, his career hasn't been good on the whole, but if you go back and check out his play, he's had his moments.

I dunno, I'd argue his TvP is fail. The only time it looked good was that series vs SKT where he beat Best and Bisu. Ever since then even in proleague protoss have been owning him. In his MSL group vs Pure and some1 else, for example, he was so unconfident in TvP he went medic marine cheese twice...and failed

Why do you call it JD Oz when Oz still managed to bring the game to ace without JD?
Cause they still rely heavily on jaedong to win. Its not like khan needs stork to get to ace, but people think of stork when they think of khan because hes the one behind most of khan's victory. One match doesn't mean much.

Hiya only has six wins less than Jaedong, Oz rely on Hiya as much as on Jaedong. So call it Hiyadong Oz or nothing at all.

And lol all who cries about JD is in a slump. His 20 last games is 14-6.
But his last 20 ZvTs are 9-11 (pretty much 2010), which is 45% winrate, compared to his lifetime 61%, so yes it's a slump. But it will go away later in the year for sure.
Most of Jaedongs ZvT losses are against really good TvZ players. 4 losses against Flash, 1 loss vs Sea, 1 loss vs Light and now 1 vs Ruby. All these are over 60% winrate vZ and only Light is below 65%. So no, I still won't call it a slump.

Hmm, how shall I describe it..., oh! Killer played a better ZvT than Jaedong today.

Lmao, ok I admit that's bad Still won't call it a slump tho, he have lost before only to start rape again. Time will tell I guess.

He actually has S-Class TvZ IMO. His other matchups are garbage though...
They just want to keep sending Killer out for ace match against ACE, because when Killer does win, it will boost his confidence. Killer -> Jiller -> Jaller -> Jalder -> Jalden -> Jaldeng -> Jaldong -> Jaedong
