In this thread, the results for the Korean Air OSL Offline Qualifiers will be updated. The format has shamelessly been copied from p4NDemik, and the groups have been shamelessly copied from konadora's informative post.
oh god, i pray that bisu doesnt fuck up.... same goes for best, violet, free, jangbi and kal. so many tosses in danger of getting eliminated early on. i cant stand another poor season for toss.... plz no.
You know, I remember the time when prelims tend to have even 9-player groups. Now half of them are 7-player groups. Is the SC scene really declining that hard in Korea?
As for the prelims, rooting for Khan players, and rooting for FBH vs Idra final.

It's because there are more groups in the ro36 - they need 24 players for that instead of the 18 or so they used to need
No one remembers Mell when he tried to play PvZ like PvT against Great last season...and almost got away with it on HBR. Macro macro macro. Flying =[ disappointing. Though his level has dropped from his initial games.

To be honest he hasn't been playing so well lately. I've read that he didn't practice as hard when he made A-team. Hope this isn't true, because he has the potential to make a deep mark on progaming.
Possible Luxury vs Midas finals in group 8. I would cheer for Han because not enough protoss are making it, but Leta deserves it a lot more. G-chizzle should be able to handle Last without a problem though.
Woah, a huge MnM drop kills the entirety of Luxury's main. He tries to counter with some lurkers and a defiler but everything gets irradiated eventualy. He also loses a decent amount of drones to an eraser at his min only. Luxury's natural is also dead, but he has ultras now?
Luxury looking comfortable now with a 4th gas just to the right of midas' main.
One dropship gets sniped trying to drop Luxes main! lings vs mnm is a bad choice from luxury! mound goes down! spire down! evos down! WHERE IS LUX's ARMY???? HIVE DOWN DEN DOWN POOL DOWN!!
counter attack at midas natural and third forces lifts at both
ULTRAS ABOUT TO POP eraser at lux's mineral only and at his fourth

hover your mouse over the screen and on the bottom bar that pops up click the little green tv and there should be two different live streams to choose.
Han desperately trying to hold off with stasis and arbiter cloaking but it's not gonna be enough. Han suicides a ton of goons into mines to force a lift at leta's 4th.
Han's main getting completely destroyed. It's just a matter of time
Wow I don't really understand what is going on in this game. There are a ton of lifted buildings just floating around and midas is traveling around with an army trying to kill off luxury's bases. Midas has no bases whatsoever.
I wish I had been watching this game the whole time!
Midas keeps attacking his own barracks on accident.
God he's so terrible, it's as if Midas doesn't even know how to make medics. Four medics for 3 control groups of marines. If he loses to Luxury then LOL to him.
Anyone else having huge issues with Livestream? It was working fine for me yesterday as I watched most of the MST before going to sleep, but now when I try to use it in either firefox OR chrome it crashes my browser. Sometimes it'll work for a few seconds before crashing and giving me hte "report" dialogue.
Anyone had this problem before? I've already ran my anti viruses and cleared my cache/history/etc. =(
can someone explain how to switch between streams? on the bottom bar i have a pause button, a duration bar, a tiny black tv with LIVE on it, volume, and fullscreen
Why is the OP having hte final results NOT included in teh spoiler? It's like "here's the bracket int he spoiler..." then the bolded winner right after... :S

It's an awful system. Basically I think they have like two pairs of commentators and you can choose to switch between one game or another game. I've tried it various times and that seems to be all you can get. It's not an efficient system to be honest.

Then again, they'd have 2 commentators not doing anything. And streaming 2 games is better than nothing.
Kal just suicided a good 12-15 zlots into that giant mech ball. Kal is getting his 2nd main and nat sieged while he forces Xellos to lift third. Kal also losing the 9 base to 2 tanks. CC BURNS DOWN AT 3
Recall from Kal going to take out all the depots and armories. Xellos pushing into Kal's main, but kal has a second main and Xellos is going to get eliminated at this rate.

Considering how sloppy he has been playing and losing to lesser players we are all glad HE DID. Hopefully Bisu picks up his act and does well this OSL. Make it out of Ro36 AT LEAST.
Not only is half of that glorious frame devoted to sAviOr looking like he's going to beat you up in a back alley, but the other half is devoted to a slightly out of focus, but nevertheless stalwart Gregory Fields.

idra isnt strong enough to take on a-teamers afaik ... so he`d better win all non-kor events to get some morale ... after cleaning toilets he can be very depressed!

Note I am a STX fan... I'm just saying lately his performance hasn't been so great, so this had better not be a fluke, is my meaning.
Frozen is by no means bad, and Skyhigh has never had glorious results in the individual leagues. Granted, it was a TvT, but I don't see it as a big upset. Jangbi vs Spear on the other hand...
That was Baby's loss completely. He just had to attack expansions and he would have been in a much better position. He just waited with his MnM doing nothing most of the time.
It looks to me as if Baby was trying to copy Flash's two base play, but it's even quite risky when Flash does it, so uhm... better not do it if you don't have 'Lee Young Ho' written in your ID.
God I love the crazy zerg build. It's such a razor's edge. Those were some Savior-esque swarms as well. Perfectly placed. I also enjoyed the conga-line of swarms to Baby's natural.

Mass SK off 2base is the proper response to what Savior did. Saying he shouldn't do it because he isn't Flash is ridiculous.
And Savior didn't get defiler mound first because that defeats the purpose of his build.

I felt good after beating Chinese players, but after losing to (T)IdrA, I cried a lot (though I don't usually cry; maybe the national pride got me.). It felt horrible.

Oh fuck ESWC. I get all these acronyms mixed up. I just remember it was the Asia thing.
I'm no expert on TvZ, and maybe there's a reason why he's sticking to Hydra-Lurker, but even the commentators are saying that he won't be able to get through with that combination...
Actually it'd be all the more awesome if he beats him without hive tech. It's funny to see how he's in good control of the game without ultras, swarm, plague, etc.
I've never seen more dumb, stubborn play (not even Best never getting templars in a 40 minute game). Savior basically invented defilers. I guess this is what he's been reduced to now.

Yeah, in retrospect... maybe he wasn't in such good control of game :>
When it comes to MJY my optimism always gets the better of me. My sAviOr fanboyism is even worse than my Flash fanboyism.
His defiler play in the last game was so good... and even so, if I sometimes go for something like mass macro hydralurkerling in ZvP or whatever, I still always get hive for adrenaline glands and the upgrades if nothing more. It's just a terrible decision to ever skip hive. And in ZvT you actually really need the hive tech so that was just really baadddd.
Savior's opening was really confusing.... can someone explain it to me? It seemed to be working as well until baby pushed into his natural. It looked like he was expecting baby to push around the 5:30 mark as flash does, so he delayed his 3rd and got a den instead then mutas (I thought he was gonna fake mutas and go lurkers). Then he double expos? By the time baby's midgame push starts Savior doesn't have enough lurkers, or anything to delay the ball and consume finishes JUST as baby is on his doorstep. I think the only real problem was that Savior swarmed infront of his sunkens, where he had no forces, instead of over his lurkers near his sunken.
So baby simply ran past that swarm and cleaned up the defenceless lurkers and everything else easily. I know you're supposed to swarm a bit further out, so you can push the terran further from your hatchery but Savior didn't have enough forces to really do that... I think what lost him the game was that one move.

At that timing he has gas for like 12 Lurkers. He just fucked up. (the fucking up proven by about 4-5 simultaneous defilers, which could have been 1 defiler and 6 more lurkers and then he'd have had like 10 lurkers to defend)

That wasn't normal timing though. His 3rd gas was like 40 seconds late, plus he spent extra minerals on that 4th hatchery.

Lurkers don't really cost minerals, and you always get the hatch anyway, just in your main, so that makes no difference. I guess the 3rd gas was a bit late but you can still get about 12 Lurkers by that time, even 10 would have been more than enough. Oh yeah, and he did have enough gas for those simultaneous defilers so he couldn't have been that low on gas.

Frozean is pretty much Mr. Average, which means he'd pretty much smack most of these B, or really bad A, teamers around silly. Besides that really awful 0-12 (?) loss streak in proleague a while back, he's really not as bad as basically everyone on TL thinks he is.
The fact he gets played more than Hwasin, Bogus, or Notice in proleague suggests something about his skill level.

The difference is Bisu is 20 and past his peak and Flash is 17 and still has possibilities to improve.
ATM Jaedong is at his peak, but after a year or so Flash will most likely dominate everyone.
how do you know bisu is past his peak? coz he's 20?

I'd say career age is more telling than chronological age. And judging from career age, bisu is past his peak. He's been a progamer for about 5 years now. Judging from past bonjwas and notable players, players start to peak at around years 3 or 4. Jaedong is at year 4 and flash at year 3. FYI, this is the start of baby's third year even though he's only 15. IIRC Oov started dominating everyone at 20/21 years old. He was relatively old, but that was in his 3rd or 4th year.

can you point me towards the time traveling device you guys used to discover the future of bisu's career

Well um you can say that but... you can't prove that GoRush is past his peak, right?
LOL... Canata, Best and Hyuk out... poor SKT... And Hwaseung loses their only good players (besides Jaedong) in the qualifier but 3 scrubs qualify? wtf? ell, and let's better do not talk about Protoss ^.^Violet, JangBi, Flying all out ^.^

sure, watch his games. he fucking sucks against quality people in the starleagues but can still beat scrubs in proleague. he is turning into another sea lol.

Hmm... I watch Bisu games and I don't really see how he "fucking sucks against quality people in the starleagues". I thought his 1-2 losses in both starleagues in the last season were pretty close, involving a cheese and an unusual mistake and and decent opponents. After that he hasn't even had many opportunities to show anything.
Protoss race needs him a lot IMO, especially right now.
- Winners League monster firebathero is out of both leagues
Bonus: PerfectMan won all games in his group and now is in Ro36!
LOL!!!
Sea and Violet losing to scrubs is surprising and indicating slump. But Skyhigh losing to STX' strongest terran and practice beast frozen means he was a fluke?
Fuck..........Savior. It seems like he's done, but I'll keep believing. And the other CJ players..........T_T I've been saying fuck and using "....." a lot these past few days. Qualifiers really get at you =/
Before winners league, I definitely would've expected the Khan result, since Stork was basically the only one pulling his weight, but I thought for sure with fbh rippin' it up he's put on a good show in at least one of these prelims.

Troll.
Skyhigh lost so many desicive matches last year. And Frozen is not strongest terran of STX. Damn, Frozen never was good...
Dude good players lose in prelims all the time. They're not easy. Dropping out in them doesn't automatically mean a player is a fluke or is slumping. For example, sKyHigh's form has been much improved lately compare to just a few months ago - losing 1-2 in the finals of his group isn't bad at all.

He is the strongest T on STX. Why do you think the coach keeps sending him, because he wants to lose?

I watched his games vs. protoss in WL. And his play relative to other tvps I watched was not pretty, NOT pretty. Only reason he won those games was with some really aggresive/risky attacks, BOs. So I was not surprised at all when he got 2-0ed by a toss in MSL. I was really surprised he got knocked out of the OSL. 2-0ing a toss but then getting 2-0ed by a zerg.
But then again, Hyun only had to play 1 matchup while FBH had to play 3 matchups during the qualifiers. So it wasn't really a fail for FBH, but a lucky draw for Hyun and an unlucky one for FBH.
I just calculated the winning percentage in ZvP for the qualifiers. I might have missed one game tops
Anyways, the winning percentage in ZvP in these qualifiers was 78% (!) The reason there's not that many protoss players is many times because zergs knock them out

Rofl and all the knocked out dragons were from protoss and terran.

Thats cause all the dragons were like shit shit shit zergs shit shit practice pvZ!!!!
They go to offline feeling good and kill some zergs only to realize they forgot about other 2 matchups.

To be fair, there were a lot of pretty ordinary protoss players in this round. Only really Jangbi, Free and Best were guys who would've been favourites to move though and didn't (and they didn't even lose to zergs).
Things looking good for Bisu. He's now in a situation where he has to work his way up to the MSL and OSL, and that's when he performs best. I'm really glad he won't get the chance to fuck up his groups with cocky choices during the selection process...
no MJY,Skyhigh,Mind,Roro, upmagic,Best,Jangbi,Free,Hoejja,Sea,Hiya plus no representitives from ACE and four Woongjin Terrans in the OSL. HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN??????
