There wasn't anything wrong with Shine's defiler play, he raped Hwasin in field battles. He just can't ever seem to secure sufficient bases to win and things just spiral out of control from there. I mean really, Roro is 46% vs terran, and Shine is 42%. Bleck.

Im not talking about stats, im talking about play. Maybe he did slightly better this game than normal, but in the past his defiler play is what cost him the game. he just could not control them to save his life, 12 cracklings+a defiler vs a toss expansion with just cannons means the nex should die EVERY time, yet Shine did it successfully about once out of 5 tries. then he'd do things like doom drop and not swarm until all his units died, or run his defiler into the middle of the opponents army trying to plague, not get it off and leave his lurkers completely exposed. Its just painful to watch and by far the worst of any zerg I've seen in teh last 2 years.

2-8 in in Ace just means you dont have an S-class player. 10 ace matches through 2 rounds means your team is pretty good at getting those 2 wins, thus depth.

Why do I have to keep commenting on this? Zero is not terrible at ZvZ. He went through a horrible slump for a few months starting with losing to Luxury in that MSL but he's been fine since then. He's 12-6 in ZvZ since the start of this Proleague season, that's not exactly bad.

In the Lost Saga MSL and around that time ZerO was super fucking good at ZvZ, and he went 12-4 in January and February 09 (with wins over JD, effort, and yarnc). Then suddenly in March 09 he went 1-6 and just sorta stayed in mediocrity since then in the matchup.
