bisu and flash are the clear favorites in their respective matches, best should be a slight favorite over violet, and canata vs luxury is pretty much a tossup imho.
if everything works out well, i can see skt take this without it going to ace.
even if it goes to ace, i think skt is either gonna send bisu/best which have by far the best records against flash during the last half year, among any progamers. or they are gonna send hyuk or fantasy with some sickass prepared build. and keep in mind flash has msl and osl games soon.....
but i´ll admit, if it goes to ace, skt probably has slightly (bisu/best) lower than 50% chances of winning.
i dont really see a 3-0 or 3-1 for kt though.

Which usually means you're pretty fucked if you're playing standard as Z. It might not be so bad if 815 had some sort of tech or tempo advantage, but he didn't.

Keep in mind, we're already seeing the game theory effects of Flash's play lately. He goes 7rax against Jaedong, and 14cc against Hogil, so s2 doesn't go 12hatch, and gets run over. That is what is so valuable about being unpredictable, and I hope Flash introduces it more into his game.

That last one was due to good storm placement and more storm. Violet morphed archons instead after his obs scouted the mass zeals. Smart decision tbh.
The previous fights, it looked like Best was winning them solely because the fights were right next to his damn rally point. Violet was constantly putting pressure. Best wasn't winning. He was losing the fight and then his next round of reinforcement was showing up to scare off the rest of Violet's shit. Every fight Violet was increasing his advantage.

If you have a better economy, you can afford to exchange armies with your opponent at every possible chance since you can always remake a larger one.

It wasn't so long ago that Best's PvP was the biggest sure thing there was. That loss really is all of Best's weaknesses: slow defending the harass, over-reliance on macro and big battles, lackluster micro.

He was way ahead on drone saturation, unit count, and positioning literally the entire game (following the poor bunker harass) and never ceded control for a moment. I am so sad, last year #1 SPL team became kept losing suddenly for nothing.
They had Boxer back, oov and so mani good players.
They started pretty well on this year SPL round 1. Then suddenly Fantasy lose all his matches, and then I guess Bisu can't win easy as well. And then Best and Canata...
And the new hyped player Hyuk now no longer playing...
What is happening? I hope this is just a small slump and hope they get out of it soon!

Best lost a PvP again and a B-team SKT Zerg lost again. Kinda hoped for Canata win here but didn't happen. Wonder how many PvP's Best is going to lose this season with such coaching (I don't see Flash being put in TvP often - smart coaching).

Last year, when they were sixth, it was during the horrible SKTZerg era and when Hyuk and TheZerg were sent to the ace match quite more often than not. Still, they had an up and coming Fantasy, a still monstruous BeSt, a TvT streaking Canata and a back on top Bisu. They had two beasts in both Terran and Protoss, plus each of those players specialty didn't overlap. Canata was on a somewhat 10 TvT win streak, Fantasy was showing the SKT TvZ legacy, Bisu was an almost sure win in PvZ and PvP and BeSt would just destroy anyone at PvT.
Many thought weren't if for the terrible zerg lineup, they would cruise thru the PL. And with Hyuk coming big in the pre-season and at the start of R1, SKT seemed unbeatable and with so much depth. Boxer and oov still being able to pull it ocasionally. Mong tearing up in the preseason.
The situation has changed. BeSt is not a beast anymore, just a good player. Fantasy is nowhere to be found. Canata is back to being a mediocre player. Bisu is still top dog, but he has given up the protoss leadership to Stork. Hyuk is an SKTzerg again.
Granted, theres still a lot of PL to go, but Bisu himself can't do a JaedongOz. T1 fans better hope that BeSt and Fantasy come out of their slump.

Best started slumping after he lost to Stork in Incruit, and that was right as Winner's League was starting.
Best continued to slump through round 4 and wasn't really in top form in round 5. He was doing absolutely horrible in the individual leagues in the first half of 2009. I would argue that he didn't start coming back until R1 of 2009-10.
Fantasy has creative TvZ but many would argue that his TvZ was never really all that great. He did manage to knock GGPlay out of Incruit, but he also lost to Jaedong in two separate series. He also lost to a number of "mediocre zergs" in the beginning of 2009.
The only case I would argue for is Bisu, but even he wasn't doing too hot during Winner's League. He got sniped by Hoejja in the Winner's League play offs and that led to SKT being knocked out by none other than KT.
Starcraft is a game where the top players can change on an almost weekly basis. Random players will come out of nowhere and suddenly blitz through the individual leagues, taking out favorite players left and right (Shine, Kwanro, and type-b and strong examples). Some of these stay consistent while others drop right away. Likewise even the best players will enter short term slumps - during the Six Dragons Era, Jaedong looked utterly vulnerable, as he did not qualify for Incruit and got knocked out of ClubDay MSL by Free. He was again knocked out in GOMTV S2 by Tempest.
Do I expect SKT to take the Grand Finals again? Not necessarily. Do I feel like I need to worry just because the team is doing badly NOW, when Proleague is a year long endeavor with five rounds and we're not even halfway there? Of course not.
People are too critical of a team/player's performance in a week or even a DAY. So much can change over the long term that I am not even going to fret about my favorite team right this second.

No matter at what cost, no matter whom he was facing, he would win. This was his way of life now, and he had come to love, hate, and grief over it.
As he readied himself for the mountainous task ahead, he couldn't help but seem to realize something. His hands were shaky, his forehead clammy, and his body was drenched in sweat. The agony of the strike before the kill is what set him off, what truly made him different from a man and a king.
But he loved the feeling, he loved it more than anything else. He knew, that in order to win, one must eliminate the word loss from their mind. And even as he walked nervously, staggering every step of the way, he managed to smile to himself.
The boy sat in the same murky and dimly-lit room this time, but there seemed to be a noticeable difference among him. Not simply due to his play-style, but also because of the inexplicable aura that seemingly engulfed him. It appeared that his body became imbued with renewed strength and vigor.
His presence was one of greatness, his motivation domineering yet captivating. As the game started, and the crowd shouted, the two players were trapped inside their own world now; a mystical world full of mind-games, skills, and reflexes.
It had become a game where action and reaction turned to simply a game of mental chess; those who were one step ahead would win, and those who weren't? They had to face the punishment of it later.
Several minutes into the game, the boy's determination was obvious. His desire to win was not simply a fantasy, but a pact he made with himself.
The game took a leap for the worse for his opponent, and as he made one final desperate push in attempt to save himself from utter defeat, the boy couldn't help but feel the same hopeless emotion his opponent might have been feeling.
That feeling of agony; not being able to resist, withstand, and use pain to one's advantage. His opponent tapped out, thankfully, as the game had been merciful from the very start. Those same two words every player had come to love, hate, and grief over, those two small letters imprinted onto the screen... "GG"
As the boy left the room, the crowd went wild. At first, it was but a mere whisper in the darkness, then, it became louder, yells turned to chants, heads swayed, and soon it was spreading like wildfire amongst the stadium.
"Lee Young Ho..." it started
"Lee Young Ho!" the breaths quickened, as the audience was captivated underneath this rhythm, this beat, this motion of life; a trance, it appeared to be.
Then, the chant grew louder....and louder.....and louder, until it was a deafening roar.
"LEE YOUNG HO!"
"LEE YOUNG HO!"
"LEE YOUNG HO!"
The boy looked on incredulously at the tumultuous wave; his mind was perplexed; his eyes disbelieving. But inside, he knew this had been the moment he had hoped for. Destiny had been patiently waiting those two miserable years ago, and now, it was calling for him...

the reason why KTF lost in finals was because rA got sniped then it fell apart

KT was a very "momentum" based team back then. When you go on a 23 game streak you kind of forget what demoralization feels like and when it happens (Ala Nal_rA snipe) your team just doesn't know how to mount a comeback.

a very disappointing series. while kt vs skt1 in R1 was like a teaser for this seasons grand finals, this series was 4 sad sad roflstomps. s2 failing horribly vs flash was kinda expected and bisu did deliver, but best and canata were an utter disappointment.
seriously, how the fuck can u get overrun in 4 gate vs 3 gate without the overrunning involving any higher tech? 
but oh well, skt better takes its time off now in R2, and not later on when it matters more....

I would like to see a SKT1 vs KT finals. It is still possible since Bisu can get SKT1 consistent wins at least.
KT has the Ultimate Weapon. Best TvZ is still Flash. Best TvT is still Flash. Best TvP is still Flash. Not sure how anyone can say otherwise.
Fantasy's TvZ without his mech gimmicks, only has his m&m control which according to the interview was considered "mediocre." Fantasy's TvP without his dropship gimmicks is even worse than his TvZ. His competition has adapted to his dropship play. Fantasy is dropping games left and right. The Terran metagame has changed, Flash has adapted while Fantasy hasn't. That's why Flash, Bisu, Jaedong, (and Stork) are considered the best.
