I don't know if you play (not meant to be an insult just wondering) but in TvZ if T is just warming up their 4th and 5th bases like that and has an army advantage with lots of tanks there is literally like no way for Z to win. There's no way Z can ever break the 4th and 5th base (as Hoejja demonstrated ... repeatedly) and that's just sooooooo much money that T will end up with like 25 Tanks and 15 Vessels to go with a mountain of M&M.
Edit: I say this as a Terran player. It's a nice feeling to pick up that second main - you have to screw up MAJORLY to lose that.

Haha yeah maybe if Zerg had Recall and Stasis they could pull it out. Even in TvP I'd feel really good about my situation if I could pick up a FIFTH but Stasis and Recall make it less of a guaranteed win (though you should still definitely win).
I don't think I can ever remember losing a game in TvP where I got 5 bases ... oh wait I have ... to Carriers, haha.

Yarnc is terrible at zvp and the risk of a protoss coming out is high
Leta on the other hand isn't absolutely horrible at tvp (but he's not good at it either ) and he's still damn good at tvt and ok at tvz. he had a decent chance no matter who kt sent out imo

Both players are actually playing pretty well. Violet is a little sloppy with his units but that's uh, normal for him. Leta is throwing away units in harass and not getting very much due to decent defense. Killing that one expo I don't think was worth it with no probes dead.

Leta waited FARRR too long to get goliaths. Even tho he knew carriers were comming he kept building nothing but tanks so that when the carriers arrived, there were as many carriers as he had goliaths.
That is very bad obviously.

Dude I love Violet but PvT lategame is just ridiculous. There's sooooooooooo many options for Protoss and the fact that you can make HT for 50 mins in the end to go with your Carriers is just icing on the cake.
Even if Violet couldn't rebuild his Nexus he still could have made NINE High Templar....

But all in all that loss was very well deserved by Leta. He let Violet take complete control of the map didn't snipe any Obs and moved his army to fight Violet without having Goliaths anywhere near.
Should had committed to that last push as well. Violet was completely defenseless and mining from one base while Leta was splitting his army and trying to take down inactive expansions.

Because, terrain wise, Match Point is TERRIBLE for carriers --atleast compard to arbs. There's relatively few cliffs to weave around and lots of open space, but the ability to fly over an expansion and recall is really easy given all the thin passage walls.
But that's what happens when you get a huge economic advantage while T is turtling.

I think Leta lost an ACE quite recently on this map (don't remember against which P, think it was Free) and his build and strategy to take the third was very different this time.
So I instantly thought that Leta learned his lesson this time and adjusted his play for this map against P and arbiterplay. Indeed it is strange that he didn't expect carriers from Violet as you say since recent games reveals violets strategies.

He should have know just based on troop count. That was a mess of star gates pumping, and Violet's army was obviously skimpy.

Well Leta losing wasn't something surprising - he had to prepare for TvZ today and probably trained TvT for ace match with Flash as well (or who knows, maybe pros stopped practicing TvT vs Flash since there's no way anyone will defeat them anymore loloool).
And then comes TvP, woooow not only Leta practiced for 2 MUs but also he has to play only one he didn't prepare for!
I'm wondering if KT didn't send Flash to show that they don't have to depend on him in ace matches, to give Violet a chance, or maybe because it is Match Point and maybe Flash seems to have problems with that map?

KT had the advantage with the ace match selection. Hite normally would have a choice between either a zerg or a terran, but with yellow playing poorly it's obvious that Leta is coming out. They probably figured they send Flash, but sent Violet as a mind game.

No, they new hite was sending leta, so they sent violet out to counter because letas tvp is his weakpoint and violet is abusive as hell pvt, and especially on some of these new maps. And so it came to pass. Not like they could sen yarnc with his terrible zvp anyways.
