Usually in the planning process it becomes clear how serious to take the LAN due to the players that will be attending. I didn't plan this LAN around any big names (like I had in the past with Louder/Xeris/lastshadow/slog or the November LAN with nyoken/machine/semih etc) but I did originally want a more serious LAN this time. after a while it didn't seem like going the more serious route would be smart. I probably should have posted in here a few days in advance when it was clear due to attendance numbers that it wasn't going to shape into quite the type of event as I was originally shooting for. A few people I was originally counting on when I planned this right after Christmas weren't able to come after all. I originally wanted group play into a bracket with a buy in but with only 12 or so players in the tournament groups weren't realistic. Before we started I tried to get input from most people and felt vibes from most people that they wanted to go lower scale... (and with lower numbers already I didn't want to push people away or have them not play in the tournament due to no buy in. we had people bringing their sleeping friends who I put into the tournament bracket, would have been a complete joke to demand him to buy in he wasn't even awake he just slept the whole time at his PC lmao)I'm not gonna be planning another LAN for a bit, schools starting up for me and I'm gonna be working alot more soon... if anyone else wants to step up that's fine and hopefully stoned_rabbit does something for MSL finals next week, keep us posted in here. Sorry if I misled anyone or lied in the OP, it wasn't intentional, I hope everyone had a fun time and would come back regardless. oh and Tossim the whole reason I went to the OSL viewing was cuz u said u wanted to go but then you didn't go after all. I was so dissapoint. I did my bet match with Fantacy and we were supposed to do a bet match bo7 that we never did at the LAN center. fail! | ||
