I'm guessing the Koreans may have thought that games against foreigners may be easy. Personally I'm surprised to see Effort losing games like this but Bisu losing doesn't really surprise me considering he loses far too many games against people who he should crush easily.

apparently IEF site made a mistake, he actually won against Jaystar
Then, Koreans SUGGESTED them to play a BO3 tiebreaker, but the chinese didn't agree(they would only agree to play BO1), so referees somehow decided to let PJ advance

wtf?

o.O that's pretty fucked up. Any confirmation on Effort's actual record?

this is according to PJ's buddy wufan, i think wufan is quite famous on TL (for leaking reps?)
anyways, he said that after PJ defeated effort, they both have 4-1 records. so the Koreans came to PJ, asking him to play a BO3 tiebreaker with effort, PJ refused. And the referee eventually agreed,so pj advances.

I guess his chances of advancing would go down quite a bit if he had to play a bo3

ya, I think it's fair that PJ advanced, he already beat EffOrt, they shouldn't have asked him to replay the game.
