Really really pulling for KT. They seemed Jinxed against Khan in the past, dropping tons of rounds they shouldn't the last 2 rounds. Hopefully inshape Luxury and Flash will come to play today. With just that it'd be a 3-2, and if Violet or Hoejja come through the way they're very capable of (Hoejja is turning into the zerg version of Hiya), KT by all logic should stomp a slumping Khan.

The mirrors are becoming pretty unbearable. There needs to be rules about having to sending each race at least a certain number of times per round. This way teams would be forced to develop strategies for each race and make things interesting.

This looks pretty bad for Samsung.
Luxury vs Juni : Luxury is inconsistent, but Juni is just plain bad.
Violet vs Jangbi : I don't know what happened to Jangbi, but he is in very bad shape, while Violet is looking pretty strong, especially in PvP.
Flash vs FBH : Flash is back in god-mode, and a struggling FBH will be no match to him.

Spire done for Lux. He is blocking Juni's ramp with his lings. Juni with evo and 2 colonies to defend the mutas.
2 Mutas pick off a defenseless overlord. Lings moving into Juni's base, maybe to suicide a spore.
Attack that spore and take it down. Mutas kill another overlord. Drones fleeing to the remaining spore colony. Spire done for Juni.

Sounds a bit risky, if Violet goes reavers, then jangbi would need some kick ass goon micro to win and he needs to make sure the reaver won't get too many probe kills.

Jangbi great reaver micro, but is pushed back. Loses tons of goons. Down to his main base. Goons enterning his main.

Actually, his attempt for harassment was pretty sad. He wasn't paying attention to his shuttles until they were red.

No jangbi failed really hard when violet first attacked, his reaver micro was poor and pulled his army back putting his army in a terrible position hence losing the battle

Both fac and scouting. Both reduced SCVs on gas, going for an early expo. FBH scouts into the right direction but is denied entry to Flash's base.

Armory for Flash. He is landing that CC at his natural. Natural CC about to be done for FBH too.
FOUR VULTURE go into Flash's natural now. 3 Tanks there to defend, so shouldnt do much.
Flash going for the counter push, Vultures with speed and mines slip by that. Trying to force their way up the ramp, but scv block denies them.
Flash came out of this alright.

Flash denied expanding a third time due to a mine placed there. Flash sieging up his tanks at the ledge in his main, gets a tank that was too close. Gets a 2nd. The third does better. FBH with better map coverage at.

Lots of small tank pushing going on, while the map is getting split in half. Flash moving a bit on the right flank, while FBH is working on the left one. Flash set up his 4th next to that mine and will probably scan for it soon. Vultures find the attempt to set up the 5th.
Some success for Flash on the right hand.
Wraiths snipe some tanks on the right. Dropship brings goliaths that save the day.

Flash has control of the bottom right natural now and kills the engbay there. some mines take out tanks. But that position is really crucial and FBH keeps on losing dropships. 2 attack upgrades on Flash's tanks really help his cause.

Dropship force takes out tanks coming from above. Flash with massive siege-up there. SCVs sacrificed for defense. FBH stalls Flash, but Flash has a strong position there.

It's basically that one expansion they will be fighting for. BCs suddenly dont seem like the best opetion. Flash pushes into that naturalk again, with tanks and BC he takes down some tanks. Dropships coming in again, drop on top of those tanks.
Mine kills some of the Goliaths, and FLash holds strong again.

I am a proud Flash fan. I disagree that "turtle turtle turtle drop drop siege siege drop drop turtle turtle turtle" is not strategy; I as a nooby viewer find it exciting and appreciate that Flash makes great decisions as to when to attack. He seemed to have less economy at some points, yet did not lose territory because he cleared up FBH's attack at a good time and without wasting his own forces. I can understand the cheers from the audience. Though I may not watch this game again I found every moment of it gripping. Until the last minutes the result was not apparent to me.

Sorry Flash's pristine decision making didn't make you fall off your seat. Sorry he took the other main on a 3 person map and held it just long enough every time to eventually capitalize on his gas advantage. Sorry his macro was perfect and he bent a few times but never broke, and FBH was never even close to actually holding the natural he needed so badly. Sorry he always had just enough to hold and never overreacted to anything FBH did and threw away units (unlike a few bad drops by FBH).

FBH went 2fac, what'd you want Flash to do, run his army that was down 5+ tanks into FBH? Flash had dropship advantage, what'd you want him to do, keep running into FBH's turrets and goliaths?
Both players are nearly mined out and Flash has the opportunity to take 3 with a series of amazing drops. What'd you want him to do there? Just let FBH's tank line stop anyone from using 3 and then win because he had an economical advantage at that point?

Flash was on 5 bases to 6 for a long time, wasn't he (despite equal gas counts)? His 6th was 3 o' clock, which he couldn't mine from most of the time. He also lost most of his early tanks. In that position, getting a quick hold on 3 o' clock and turtling the hell up was the only viable strategy.

FBH played really well. He's arguably the best Terran out there when it comes to small early Tank line skirmishes (the reason why he had such an enormous lead in the legendary Medusa game).
He attacked the right spots this game but his mistake was simply deeper than anything at that level. He let Flash take the other main/natural which outweighs everything else. FBH is really good at TvT when he's on but Flash is the greatest TvT player of all time, and games like this are a perfect example why.

Ugh does nobody seem to understand that when you take the most important base in TvT, you have to go balls out to defend it and the other guy has to attack it? Flash has plenty of excellent TvTs where he's aggressive. You often see him play defensive, especially on a 3 player map, because generally being defensive means you made the right choices in terms of what bases to take (and generally means you win, which Flash virtually always does).
Flash hasn't lost a TvT to a non-specially crafted build (Hiya on Medusa, Iris on Heartbreak in GOM) since Skyhigh, a span of like 20-something games. Let's appreciate his mastery of the matchup and the game.

An aggressive style would have failed. Flash did the right thing (taking the other main and turtle up there) given the situation he was in, it was the only thing he could do and it won him the game.

Flash is the thinking man's starcraft player. You don't win that many games because you can "turtle," you fucking numbnuts. These are two of the top 5 TvT players in the world for quite awhile, not BGH with your buddies. Instead of making excuses for why Flash won, try to understand why Flash won, and you might learn a little about the game.

People get understandably upset when their Team does poorly. It's an extra huge bummer when it's a team with such talented players like Khan. Us KT fans have been there, I totally understand the frustration.
You should keep in mind though that Flash can play super aggressive TvT as well:

FBH loses to Flash in such agonizing fashion because he is one of the only Ts with a strong enough early game to consistently match Flash, but his late game is "only" A-class whereas Flash has what is arguably the best late game of all time. This makes for an exercise in frustration for FBH fans, but it does not seem fair to marginalize Flash's wins. Khan fans, in all honesty, how would you have felt about last night's game if FBH had won?

As a khan fan i would have felt happy to see fbh win but, flash vs fbh is so entertaining win or lose im still pleased. People will say this game proves Flash's awesome TvT which is does,but we cannot forget how this shows that fbh's TvT is still special as well.

Stork didn't even get to play. Why is January sending garbage like Juni out before Stork? Stork and JangBi are the only two people in KHAN roster capable of winning a game right now, the rest of them look completely out of place. Even Stork/JangBi don't look too awesome this season...
Point is:
Stork = fantasy team captain = 1 point so far. SIGH
Even Iris/Movie has a few points despite losing all their individual games (team win points).
*edit: Stork did fetch 1 point for me (I said 0 before edit) for being in the lineup for this game. -_-;

Just because flash was playing defensive for most of the game today, you judge his playstyle as being boring?
have you watched his other games when he's NOT playing a top 5 TvTer in the world?
have a look at games 2-4 of the GOMTV finals against iris. It was flash. It was aggressive. and it was rape.
Flash lost the early and midgame today, simply cos FBH played better. no questions. And because of the early deficit, flash had to claw his way back. He did what he had to do to win.

You're just going to have to accept that different people find different styles 'exciting'.
While watching this match, I was leaning on the edge of my seat, my face unhealthily close to the screen, frantically watching their dropship movements and paying attention to every tank lost, every expansion fought over. It was crazy exciting all the way up until the end, and I didn't know who was going to win until about 30 seconds before FBH typed out.
Flash is just a defensive player in TvT, TvP, and mech TvZ. It's his style, and some of us really like watching him seemingly effortlessly defend against drops, recalls, and breaks when a lesser player would have collapsed.
If you hate it that much, just watch Flash's bio TvZs. Everyone, no matter how much they hate him, has to admit that Flash's bio TvZ is a work of art, and it's not 'turtle' style.
Flash goes with what works, and with a 71% TvT win rate, his defensive style definitely works.

It's not like FBH played poorly, he probably did better than any other Terran would do against Flash. If Flash hits 72% in TvT I think it's time to start calling it FvT.

FBH vs Flash was insane, I just watched it. FBH proved that he still has the touch when it comes to TvT, and Flash of course is just out of this world. That's the second nailbiter game these guys have played recently --- FBH seems like Flash's most dangerous challenger in TvT.
It's nice to see the Flash/Luxury team finally perform as well as we'd expect them to on paper, but Khan is making me sad right now. I really like Stork and Jangbi and I wish they'd get their collective shit together

Most people of any rapport have acknowledged that Flash has the best TvT in the world and has had this distinction for quite some time.
I always thought that Fantasy was just a tad on the gimmicky side. Flash when he's on is probably the most skilled player in the game. In 2008 we probably saw as close to perfect starcraft as we will ever see when Flash went on his rampage.
Also Luxury winning anything especially PROLEAGUE lately is like the coming of the next apocalypse. I still don't like him at all but at least he's performing up to what's expected of him.
