No, I doubt that what you're seeing is blind rage. First of all, the elimination of protoss is fairly significant. It's huge. It eliminates 66 percent of the game. It doesn't seem that this is the best that was available. I'm not entirely certain of Blizzard's relationship/partnership with GOM, but the options appearing on GOM offered two Protoss. There were, furthermore, many other players in Korea available for this tournament which, I'm sure would have accepted. Also, there are MANY protoss in the foreign community who would have LOVED the opportunity to come to Blizzcon. Do you think it conceivable that every single one of them was unavailable? Doubt it.
No one is questioning at all their choice to pick Ret (or Idra). They are almost unquestionably the two current best foreigners on the scene.
And those "multiple" (I count one.) people would probably be wrong. Blizzard is in a corporate war against KESPA. Do you really think that KESPA would have much control over sending people to Blizzcon? No. KESPA might tell the players no, and that would certainly limit some teams and players, but that wouldn't make a significant impact at all for the reason that Blizzard has many other Korean and foreign players from which to choose.
It's a blatant lack of effort on their own part, and that has led to the frustration here.

66% of the game? Please enlighten me to how you come up with this number since as far as I'm concerned there are 6 matchups and only 3 has protoss.
