I find it specifically hard to surround myself with players of my or higher level who are willing to practice for a few games a day against the specific/standard builds I feel I really need to work on, so seeing as there are no dedicated threads on TL I may as well make one. The idea of this is not to find people to play against(because that doesn't really need a thread lol), but to find people who want to train a specific match up/build order ect.
So post in this thread with this information and I will come along every once and a while and add you to the list.
Hopefully people will use this as a reference to find partners rather than making 500 different "need training partner" threads in random forums.

I'm (practically) brand new to competitve StarCraft, only been playing for 4-5 weeks now, not very good, at all. Average APM 65-75 on good-ish days.
Looking for all three ZvX MU's, but more-so, looking for players with decent social skills who would be willing to help me work on my game and bring me up to being able to actually start to rank higher than D- on iCCup. Also, since I don't see Cheese the way a lot of people do, as just straight lame, I'm looking for people who aren't un-used to cheesing every once in a while. I need... I mean, really need to practice my Proxy-counters, but even I get tired of cheese after a while.
As far as competitive play is concerned, I'm still working on the basics, but I'm good enough to beat the average B.Net'er, as I've done in the past.
In summary, I'm looking for players either as new to competitive play as I am, or who suck as much as I do, and want to improve as much as I do.
Edit: Forgot. I can play most days at about any time, except Friday Nights after 7 PM. (Night here being Mountain Standard Time, United States), and don't expect me to get up early, meaning before noon on most days.
Edit 2: Gah, damn... Forgot to mention also, I'm almost always on my AIM, but if I am on, I'm 99.9% of the time invisible. Don't be afraid to message me on there if you want a match. As for the idea for a mod run thread like this.... I think it would be hard to keep track of who's active and who isn't unless they were actively involved with the players.
IMO it's annoying seeing a huge list of names of people to play with, getting all excited, and going through 15 people until you find someone who still plays and is interested.

I'm (practically) brand new to competitve StarCraft, only been playing for 4-5 weeks now, not very good, at all. Average APM 65-75 on good-ish days.
Looking for all three ZvX MU's, but more-so, looking for players with decent social skills who would be willing to help me work on my game and bring me up to being able to actually start to rank higher than D- on iCCup. Also, since I don't see Cheese the way a lot of people do, as just straight lame, I'm looking for people who aren't un-used to cheesing every once in a while. I need... I mean, really need to practice my Proxy-counters, but even I get tired of cheese after a while.
As far as competitive play is concerned, I'm still working on the basics, but I'm good enough to beat the average B.Net'er, as I've done in the past.
In summary, I'm looking for players either as new to competitive play as I am, or who suck as much as I do, and want to improve as much as I do.
Edit: Forgot. I can play most days at about any time, except Friday Nights after 7 PM. (Night here being Mountain Standard Time, United States), and don't expect me to get up early, meaning before noon on most days.
Edit 2: Gah, damn... Forgot to mention also, I'm almost always on my AIM, but if I am on, I'm 99.9% of the time invisible. Don't be afraid to message me on there if you want a match. Just say something like, "Hi, I'm (name) from TLNet. I noticed your post in the training partners thread, wanna play a game?" Or, you could always get creative with your hello's... Just don't freak me out too badly... -_- And not on Friday Nights. I've got my gaming group almost every friday. Friday afternoon's are okay though!
Edit 3: Edited my rank on account of having actually won an iccup game! Just left the /D- because I'm probably still pretty low level, the guy was obviously a newbie without a solid BO down for Terran yet.

I think, where the training stuff is concerned here, we aren't looking for points.
I played a few matches day before yesterday with one of the more experienced (than me) guys on iCCup. All UMS, so no record hit/points loss, on my part. If it had been real matches, he would've gained little in stomping me three times in a row anyway.
And I think the iCCup rules say that in ranked games, you can only play a maximum of Five against any single person anyway. Wouldn't be very conducive to training if you only had 5 games per person to learn, would it?
But hey, you should hit me up sometime. AIM: BuildABand iCCup: MedicAir (-7 GMT time-zone, Mountain Standard, Never up before noon, usually not until around 2-3 PM these days.)
I see PvZ is your worst match-up, so if you want to improve that, I'm the guy! And since I've been playing iCCup more, I'm starting to find that ZvP is quickly becoming my worst match-up, though I'm equally crappy in all mu's against anyone who can actually play the game, and this despite having played 50+ ZvP games with my usual training partner in the last few weeks.
I've got at least a basic understanding of Protoss strategies, BO's, and general tactics against Zerg, so I can teach you at least a few solid things about playing PvZ, provided you aren't already kicking my butt. =)
By the way, if you're worried about me having played 50+ matches against a P... Don't worry. I've only won 3 of them. T-T

Other info: nowadays I can only play after 9:00pm EST. I do and it doesn't really lead to practice games, just regular rated games lol. The good thing about this thread for me atleast is I've found a handful of people which I can practice or experiment with.

I've just reinstalled BW a few weeks ago, and i'm looking for players to play with on a regular basis. I'm not on all that often (I try to play at least a few games a day) but I prefer to play with gm people that are willing to play repetitive games to practice certain builds/counters. I'm also seeking higher ranked players (like high C or low B) to maybe offer me advice on what I'm doing wrong in certain matchups (please be gm, but i take criticism very well.) I have vent (and host my own server) if you prefer to speak instead of typing.

I'm a racepicker, don't do zvz. I just picked up pvz like a month ago so it's definitely way behind. I'm still acclimating to the new climate of zvp, slowly getting better at this. Any protoss that uses lots of sairs and micros them well rolls me like 100%. I'm talking about like 2 gate sair with ground and reaver build or sair/reaver, usually if it's just 1 stargate sairs with dts I don't struggle as hilariously. zvt I've just always been very good at, but well executed mech strats are a bit of a hassle. I don't think I've lost a game vs bio at d/d+ yet, which isn't saying much, but it's definitely leagues ahead of my other matchups just cause I played it so much more than my other matchups back in the pgt days.
