"Much (CJ) and Rumble (SKT1) has enlisted for the Air Force E-sports team.
After confirming with the Office of Military Affairs, it was found that the two players enlisted for the August Air Force recruitment.
The two players, if they get through the first draft, will go through a physical examination, interview, and a field test. The final acceptee will be posted on September 23rd, and will be entering military service in Jin-Ju on October 26th.
ACE will use this recruitment to fill up the one vacancy they couldn't fill up in the March recruitment, due to Oversky and Daezang leaving the team on August 24th."

So I guess they'll fight it out in Mortal Kombat to see who gets the spot? I hope Much gets in. He's not a great player anymore, but he seems to have a pretty good grasp of the game. He'd make a nice coach/advisor after the army.

I like much, though he always looks rather sad, and at least he has made his name versus FBH.
Much should see a new lease of life in ACE though, if he loses out to rumble, I'l be annoyed.
I hope Much does well in ACE for a protoss hater such as myself he is one of the few protoss i really like watching . He is also a big part why my favourite team is CJ .
I always felt bad about much. In 2008 the was he ONLY player on CJ doing ANYTHING in leagues. He got SO CLOSE to making finals in 2 leagues ( lost to JD in Arena MSL where you can't really blame him for that, and then lost to Stork and Luxury in the Korea WCG in the semis and 3rd place match respectively). He immediately slumped afterwards which coincidentally was the rise of the 6 dragons :\. It always felt so strange having "the golden age of Protoss" and Much was doing horrible.
Let's hope he (Much of course, fuck Rumble) continues to provide us with entertaining games; I remember the OSL Group Stage where he went 1-base Carriers against Bisu, Cannon Rush against July and Proxy Gate/Robo against Flash. Such a cheesy, hilarious bastard.
I will root for North Korea if somehow Much doesn't make it to ACE. With GrandpaToss in the lineup, I will be ever prouder of my favortie team. And serious props and much love to Daezang and Sgt. Oversky for all they have done for ACE. Oversky has been ACE's best player so far. I hope a team will hire him now.
Nice to see, with CJ bringing up both Movie and Snow there probably wouldn't be many opportunities for him to play on CJ. Hopefully on ACE him and Reach/Anytime can split their play time and practice more fully for their matches, bringing about a higher winrate. Although it's certainly going to suck not having Daezang and Oversky, I think Much will be a great asset to the team even if he doesn't stay in form. With Ruby and DarkElf joining up, I think ACE would be in good shape if they had a zerg player to replace Oversky. Don't know why they can't accept both Rumble and Much..
I'm sure Much will make it. I mean, seriously, Rumble!?
This will likely really hurt CJ though. Much is the type of player who makes a good coach even when he's not playing. I can see this hurting Movie and Snow later on.
question: is ACE strictly the air force's team or is it for like the whole military?. i understand progamers wanna continue to play starcraft and so they join the air force, but u would think that some of them would wanna join the army or the navy.
A stint on ACE has breathed new life into some programers' careers, and I hope it does the same for Much. He's an inconsistent player, but one of the most entertaining ones around!
Because everyone is rooting for Much, I'd like to take this time to cheer for Rumble in his quest to take Grandpa Toss' spot in Ace away from him.
Oh Rumble, you used to be so good (at 2v2). Too bad it doesn't matter anymore. Oh well, Rumble for the win! Anytime + Reach is a good enough combo. Ace needs one more zerg besides GoRush. (Yellow is lulz).
I think this is a good thing for Much. He doesn't really have a lot of potential in rising to the top again, so he might as well become yet another ACE hero. =)
As the biggest Much fan ever, and an extremely huge ACE fan as well, I'm pretty excited, myself.
edit: Oh and Rumble will make a great addition for ACE too!
Interesting - so Air Force ACE now has a set amount of roster spaces, and will only accept new players as others leave? Was it this way in the beginning?
NOOOOOOOOOO Much =(((( He hasn't been playing for CJ for a while, and I knew this was coming, but dammit I love Much. Hope he gets in rather than retire. Also, with the departure of Much, comes the return of Oversky. CJ zerg depth=good? Yeeeeee
