Jaedong takes the opener and becomes the 'most wins' leader.
- Any words on the 3:0 victory.
▲ This was a very important end-of-the-season game. It was vital to win today to retain our first place and happy x2 to win 3:0.
- Violet has been rich in form of late, did you feel pressured?
▲ To be honest, I was full of confidence. I prepared for the game thinking I can't lose. I felt slight distress because the opponent had less to lose than me but the coach and my teammates told me to play freely so I played the game with ease.
- You easily achieved victory with lings.
▲ I never finished a game that easily. My lings did more damage than anticipated, hence the opponent was perplexed and made mistakes.
- You solely lead the most Proleague wins.
▲ There are 4 games to go so not being complacent is the key. It is important to go to games with the mind: win the remaining four games without being careless. Then, I, who put the most effort in throughout the year, think I can become the 'most wins king'.
- In the next match you face Modesty of STX.
▲ Like the last round I am confident against STX. For some reason, I am really confident. I have a experiecence of beating him and it's a v Zerg match so if I play as I do then I believe I can win. STX are on a hot streak and I want our team to break the good aura.
- Any last words?
▲ First of all, I want to thank my teammates and Samsung Khan's Protoss for helping me with practice. Also my fans for rice cakes and various presents in celebration for my 200th win.
BackHo executed a well prepared strategic play to win.
- Words on the 3:0 victory.
▲ We were in danger of losing our place to SKT had we lost today. I feel good because we, not only win, but win 3:0 which put us in better position to qualify straight (to the Grand Final).
- You chose proxy Robotics strategy.
▲ I practiced a lot, on a match like today, harass style suits me best. I feel comfortable and my opponent was Flash so I wanted to deal damage while playing a management game.
- You kept Jaedong's sole lead for the most wins.
▲ I didn't know that (laughs). If I beat Flash then it's obviously good for the team and contribute a win to the team. During my high fives, Jaedong said 'thank you' then I knew. Since things happened like this I wish Jaedong to get the most wins.
- Are you upset because there is a huge importance of Jaedong in the team.
▲ A lot of people say that and it is evident on Hwaseung Oz official homepage. To be honest I don't think they're wrong and every time I see those statements I want to show (my skills?) in matches. Even if Jaedong loses the team is able to win and makes me want to play better. It makes me more motivated than to make me upset.
- Your next opponent is Goojila.
▲ I think the form of STX is the strongest and most fearsome. However our team is not in the position to lose so we must win. I am 3:0 against him, therefore I think he will be more pressured than I am. Currently I am losing my v Protoss matches and Goojila is on a winning streak. However I'm still confident. I want to stop my losing streak and break Goodjila's
- Any last words?
▲ Thank you to the fans cheering for me and I want to congratulate Jaedong for his 200th win. And like Lomo said, bee really helps with the games (in practice). He has been a big help when preparing for Star League games. I want to thank him for his help during break and sleep times. I want him to do well in the future.
Lomo kept his advantage to the end to ensure victory.
- Words on the 3:0 victory.
▲ We were winning 2:0 I played with my mind at ease. I think because of that reason, I'm satisfied with the performance too.
- You widened the gap to 1 game with SKT.
▲ SKT are doing very well so if we are complacent then they can overtake us. It's harder to keep the first place spot than to chase it so we are working hard. I will perform well in the remaining games to not allow SKT to overtake us.
- There is a huge importance of Jaedong, so your share (of responsibility) is big
▲ If we lose 1:3 only Jaedong wins (laughs). The backup members of the team have to perform well so the team can win even if Jaedong loses. There is a huge load on the shoulder for that and it's true that losing in broadcasted games results in burden of people saying 'Lee Jaedong one man team'. That makes me more nervous and games don't play out well.
- Are you doing anything to lessen Jaedong's share (of resposibility)
▲ I am working hard along with Hiya and everyone else. I am doing my best so even if Jaedong lose the team can still win.
- There is a big worry on Bo7.
▲ There isn't a wide range of players who appear so I have heard that before. However the team is still in first place and there are good players such as Killer, Perfectman etc. so there isn't too much difference between us and other teams.
- Your next match is against Hwasin and STX.
▲ It will be difficult against STX. If we come out victorious, it will be closer to the Grand Final. I remember losing a winning match to Hwasin in Medusa. I want to win this time to erase that painful memory.
- Any last words?
▲ There is a player called bee in the team. He helps with practice without complaints. I think I won because of his contributions and I will buy him delicious roast chicken after we return. :-)
lol, the nice thing about hwaseung, is even their own players admit its all Jaedong, unlike KTF which doesnt seem to talk about it as much in the interviews. Thanks for the interview translations.Oz fighting and hopefully Oz/STX win the full PL.
"STX are on a hot streak and I want to break that streak."
Haha fuck yeah JD! Also kinnda funny how he says "I want to break that streak" and not "we want to break that streak" has he finally realized that the team is like... just him

That's actually from lack of skill on my part. It should say 'our team' but I couldn't translate it in a way it makes sense in English.
I have changed it so it makes 'more' sense, hopefully.
Obviously it isnt just him - however I'm sure he knows that he is valuable and has alot of preassure on him and thus wants to really bring out every inch of performance out there for his team.

This makes me sad, as an OZ fan
Yeah but when OZ got Anytime and ForGG they were pretty much a stacked team , with 3 good terrans and BackHo to back up Anytime .

Hmmm, maybe that's why Khan didn't play Stork nor Jangbi last night. They were stunned after practicing with Jaedong...

Great interviews, thanks a lot!

I find it kinda sad how backho and lomo both acknowledge the whole "Jaedong-one-man-team" thing and they're trying hard to lift his burden. Also the treating bee to roast chicken was cute
man this interview made me hungry for delicious roast chicken
its crazy how Jaedong is always practicing with top tier players on other teams. I never see him, for example, thank some b-team member like bee, its always some other team's aces.
I remember he was listing off his Terran practice opponents in some interview and it was just this insane lineup of TvZ masters like Leta, Mind, Hwasin, UpMagic, etc.

My new quote. For some reason this line sounds amazing to me. Its like a shout out to Bisu, Flash and everyone else that he deserves greatness the most as he puts the most into the game.
wow, Jaedong looks pissed in the OP picture. like someone just insulted his mother right before :O
and man.. I know he's like the hottest pro-gamer right now, and I think that's showing through in his attitude ..
"I went into the game v violet really confident" "I have experience v zerg and alrdy beat modesty once, i'm fairly certain I will win again" "STX is having a good run, I hope to ruin that for them"
but I mean.. if u're the best Zerg on the planet I suppose u got a right to be cocky ^ ^ rice cakes huh!? hmmm..

gL
Not cocky..honest.
He is the greatest player and he does put the most work in. At least according to every other player that talks about him.

EDIT: STX practice house: Modesty: July hyung, I'm playing Jaedong in proleague. What should I do to prepare? July: ... Modesty: ? July: Courage is the best defense that you have now.
