Since the Progamer-pokemon comparison thread was an awesome idea, but the OP is not updating, i decided to make a selection here, and update it. Note: i only consider valid the poke-gamer associations which use the first 151 pokemons, or are too epic to be ignored.

It's much more enjoyable to read if the arrangement is uniform imo. As in: the pokemon picture always appears, and the progamer's picture is spoilered under it. That way you can actually try to guess before seeing who the progamer is.
The way it is now is just a bunch of quotes one after the other.

Well imo it's all about tastes and focusing on different things.
I would definitely include Reach - Blastoise, Backho & that mushroom thing (it's one of the funnier ones), Magmar - Much (tho I'm subjective about this).
Kal is also solid, sad Boxer.
Electrode - that shaved head guy is one of the best matches imo.

Man-Blastoise-Toss added, Kal's pokemon was already used and that might fit better (Shine)
There are 2 Muchs i might add one of them if more ppl suggest it.

lol wtf is wrong after the 151pokemons?
(note: i don't watch children's programs, but for me it sounds very childish not to accept the "other" ones)

Movie and the ball guy was probably the best match. The July one was obviously expected but I still loved the little wave. I also thought Leta and Flash's magic eye were pretty spot on too.
The idra one made me burst out laughing the most though.

Take off the nostalgia goggles, the pokemon games have gotten better with each generation. 152-493 are as much pokemon as the original 151.

In the other thread some ppl thought it would be cool to make a selection. Including me. I asked the OP if he will update, he did not answer. This is not the same thread with different name, it's like an add-on or sg like that.
Also what's the problem with the new pokemons? Back in the day i watched pokemon, and i really enjoyed it, had cards and plushies and stuff liek that. The story was ok, and there were times when Ash or the others thought they saw a new pokemon, and there was so much hype about it. Than suddenly over 9000 pokemons appear from the dust, with 90% of them lacking creativity. Others in the main thread also suggested that we should stay with the original ones. And as i said if some new ones are good i add them, but as expected, not too many of them are even close to good.
