The team player who won

Jaedong and his minions

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Backho] +

Backho: "We must win the rest of our games to get into the Grand Finals."
"I was astonished as I watched Jaedong play."

"How does Jaedong do that?"

Hwaseung's (P)BackHo defeated Hite's (Z)YellOw[ArnC] in the fourth set and helped bring the game to the ace match.

The following is the interview with BackHo.

- You contributed to your team's win.
▲ Even though I had won, I didn't feel that I had won. After defending my opponent's all-in attack, I must have thought that I will win easily, so I think I let my guard down. That is why my psi was blocked, and my micro was poor, and I was in danger many times. I almost lost, and barely managed to make a comeback in the end. The game's content wasn't satisfactory, so I am not very happy.

- You won with your han-bang army.
▲ When I went to attack with my han-bang army, I thought that if it were to be defended, I would lose, but my opponent's defiler came out late so I was able to break his defense.

- You have won all 5 times against Hite this season.
▲ Whenever we faced Hite, (Z)Jaedong won all of the ace matches. I think Jaedong is strong against Hite. Jaedong always comes out victorious in ace matches, so I am thankful towards him. Because of Jaedong, I feel stronger. We were behind 1-2, and as long as we got to the ace match, we would definitely win, so I kept on thinking of getting this game into the ace match. That is how much faith I have in Jaedong.

- What thoughts came into your mind as you watched the ace match?
▲ I felt that both (Jaedong and Leta) were really great players. I was left wondering, "How does he do that?" as I watched Jaedong play. I think it's because I made a lot of mistakes today.

- You will be facing SKTelecom T1 next.
▲ I think that we have to win at all costs. If we don't strive to get into the Grand Finals, then it will be tough for us, so we are only thinking about getting into the Grand Finals. We will defeat any team that we will face in the future.

- Any final words?
▲ Congratulations to Jaedong for his 100th win, and I want to tell everyone to work hard so that we can get into the Grand Finals.

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with the Tyrant] +

Jaedong: "I feel that my hard work is paying off, so I am even more happy."
"I was nervous, but I won, so I'm relieved."

King of Proleague

'The Destroyer' (Z)Jaedong scored two wins in a single day, becoming the 2nd person to achieve 100 Proleague wins and led his team to victory.

The following is the interview with Jaedong.

- Your thoughts on your 100 Proleague wins?
▲ When I was at 98, 99 wins, I didn't pay much attention to the '100th win'. It's just all part of my job (as a Progamer). But I read an article on my way to the stadium today, and I read that if I were to win today, I would be setting many new records. So I got fired up, and even though my opponent was a newcomer, I told myself that I would never let myself be defeated. Also, if our team won today, then we would be able to gain good momentum and aim for the Grand Finals, so we had to win today. That is why I worked even harder today.

- If you look back at the second set...
▲ In the second set, there was another overlord going up from below my expansion, but it was slightly late. That is why I defended off my opponent's attack with just one overlord, and luckily, my opponent was a bit too aggressive so I was able to defend it well.

- With your win in the ace match, you now hold the title of 'Highest Number of Wins in Proleague'.
▲ This feeling is something new and refreshing. Memories of my matches I played since my debut flashed past me. I worked hard until now, and I think it's paying off with my good results, so I am even happier. There were moments where I was shaky and didn't perform so well. But the only problem is how I move on from there. I didn't collapse at those moments, and that is why the Lee Jae Dong you see today exists.

- You played a fierce game in the ace match.
▲ I was too nervous. I was in an advantage but when I saw my opponent's barracks, I got even more nervous. Furthermore, (T)Leta kept harassing me non-stop, so I got even more nervous. I continuously told myself to calm down and keep my cool. That helped me out a long way.

- When did you realise that you had won?
▲ It was when I killed his units with my hold lurkers. He pushed out with his army but I think waiting until his tanks came out paid off. My hold lurkers would have definitely worked, so I was determined to kill his tanks.

- Any future targets?
▲ I have not yet decided on any real targets. I will not forget all the hard work that I had put in to make my 100 wins possible, and I will continue to work hard in the future. That is my target.

- Any final words?
▲ I feel really glad today, as I had won two games. I think it's because I won the ace match on the day I recorded my 100 wins. I am thankful to my fans who came to cheer me on today on-site, and also towards my teammates who supported me. Also, I am thankful towards my coaching staff for giving me advice even right before the ace match. I am also thankful towards (T)Hwasin and (T)Mind, as well as the rest of my teammates in the training house who helped me with practice.

Thanks for the translation. I thought JD hit 100 wins during the playoffs but that did not count did it?

What exactly do you mean by that?

I love how backho almost lost that game despite the advantage

as i said in the LR thread

games being bo5, ace matches and 5 PL days are pretty much the factor which made jaedong get to 100 before any of the other veterans who had to deal with bo3, no ace matches and only a weekend to play their PL games.

Btw, you have a small mistake:

You have won all 5 times against Hite this season.

I find it kinda funny that Jaedong said he was nervous in the second match. To me he looked pissed off. Leta just looked like he was excited for the match.

I hope Leta and Jaedong meet up in the OSL. I really wanted to see Jaedong handle those 2port wraiths...
