Congrats to Samsung Khan on finally achieving their 100 wins.
No group shot for Khan, unlike Hite.
Another Coach interview!
+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Coach Kim Autumn] +Coach Kim: "The players made the 100 wins possible." "I'm more happy with the fact that we have ended our losing streak." Samsung Khan's Coach Kim Ga Eul has finally succeeded in achieving 100 Proleague wins at her fourth attempt, after defeating eSTRO on the 26th 3:1. Coach Kim has succeeded in both achieving 100 wins and ending her team's losing streak, and is once again headed towards entering the Grand Finals. Even firebathero, who has been slumping recently, much to the frustration of his coach, won today, and contributed towards achieving Coach Kim's 100th win. The following is the interview with Coach Kim. - Your thoughts on your 100th win. ▲ Today's win is more about ending our losing streak than about my 100th win. I feel that there will be more challenges for us ahead, so I'm more worried than happy (laughs). - It took a long time for you to achieve your 100th win. ▲ I think that I was luckier than the other coach. I started off as a coach on a strong team, so it was easier for me to come this far. I think luck was a key factor on our road to 100 wins. - Samsung Khan has been slumping recently. ▲ I am thinking positively about it, and I believe that what we are going through now will be of great help to us in the future. We were smooth-sailing all the way from 2005, so I was worried thinking about how to overcome this situation. Our results are important this season, but I am focusing more on using our current situation to our favor and turning it into strength that will make us a stronger team in the future. - What do you think is the reason for your team's recent slump? ▲ I think that the coaching staff has a great amount of responsibility. When a players is showing signs of slumping, we have to send out other players to make up for him, but we neglected that completely. We never faced such problems since our smooth run from 2005, so we are taking this opportunity to increase our management skills and preparedness. - How do you plan to manage your team from now on? ▲ I am thinking of ways to give players more confidence in themselves. Our players have a very strong foundation, so even if they do slump, I believe that it will only be a matter of time before they recover. - If you were to look back at your road to your 100 wins... ▲ It is the players who made this 100th win possible. ChRh, SaferZerg, ShinyA, GGon, as well as sigamari, ZergMaN, JJu, who performed exceptionally well when our team was playing well and the current players are the main stars who contributed to my 100th win. - Your rank dropped a lot during your team's slump. ▲ Our players have the strength to climb back up the ranks once they reorganize themselves and find more confidence. We believe that as long as we do not get carried away, there will be more opportunities (for us to climb back up the ranks). Even if getting into the Grand Finals seems tough, we believe that getting into the Grand Finals through the post-season is possible. We are doing our best to turn around our team's morale. - Any final words that you wish to say to your players? ▲ Our team always slumped whenever we started performing well. That is why I will not place so much importance on the 100th win. Although we may have ended our losing streak, we are not out of danger yet, so I hope you all prepare hard. Self-confidence is good, but having too much self-confidence is not, so I hope you all can keep that in mind. Our company's employees and our fans have been a great support all the time. I really want to say 'thank you' to all.

Among those names the coach mentioned, I could only identify ChRh, ZergMaN and JJu before I checked TLPD >___>

Thanks for the translation! Also holy christ january has a wide nose

sigamari was the beastly 2v2 specialist who everyone liked. Too bad there aren't 2v2s anymore, there were some exciting games for it.

i'm really surprised how she has 100 wins considering how awful samsung was as a team before 2005.

shinya has one of the coolest names in progaming.
i'm surprised she didn't mention Siva, he was a key player who had the knack of securing the win in the third set of the proleagues they played in. unfortunately he was sold to hexatron.

lets just say they had god awful players. they were probably on par with plus and hexatron in terms of badness.
remember these were the days before they had stork and sigamari and jju etc.

And no, I don't really hate Khan. For example, I love TT and FBH's ceremonies during the win against Sparkyz in last year's PL Grand Finals

I wonder what happened to Legionnaire
|
GTR, can you give us a quick what happened to the teams that you mentioned that are no longer around? (like some of them are easy, like SKT1 and KTF haven't changed, Go -> CJ, and Pantech -> Wemade but can you do a similar summary for the teams that weren't as good?

He still plays for fun (see TSL) and I think he's going to try out SC2.

I did an image a while ago but it seem'd to die.
Nether the less, I suppose I can do it in text form.
SKT: Tongyang Orion -> 4U -> SK Telecom T1 KTF: KTF CJ: GO -> SUMA GO -> Greatest Ones -> CJ Entus Wemade: Toona SG -> Pantech and Curitel Curriors -> Pantech EX -> WeMade FOX Woongjin: Hanbit Stars -> Woongjin Stars MBC: Pirates of Space -> EGOSYS POS -> MBCgame HERO STX: Soul -> STX Soul OGN: KOR -> OGN Sparkyz -> Hite Sparkyz Samsung: Samsung eSTRO: AMD Dream Team -> Hexatron Dream Team -> eNature Top Team -> eSTRO Hwaseung: Ideal Space -> KTEC Plus -> Plus -> Lecaf Oz -> Hwaseung Oz
For the smaller teams, talk to pubbanana, I'm not really knowledgeable on that stuff.
Bonus: DID YOU KNOW SOUL DOES NOT ACTUALLY STAND FOR SOUL? IT IS + Show Spoiler +Starcraft Of Unbelievable Legend

Before KTF became sponsored by KTF, they were called the Raptors and they weren't a huge team. In fact, Kim Ka Eul was a progamer on the Raptors way back when.
NaDa and YellOw ended up on KTF because they bought them, there's nothing more to it.

Female progamers hardly ever qualified for anything, so they eventually had their own leagues and those female-only leagues aren't in the TLPD. So, I guess you won't find Kim Ka Eul in there. Her ID was [Oops]January and she was a Z player. She actually wasn't THAT bad, seeing as how she qualified for a KPGA tour and a GhemTV Starleague (she ended up getting humiliated by Reach and Giyom, though). As far as the female leagues were concerned, she was the best. At one time, Kim Young Mi (Navy), Seo Ji Soo (Tossgirl), and Kim Ka Eul were like the female Boxer, NaDa, and Yellow.

That ygosu databsase is missing a lot of leagues, though. If you look at her record as it's written there, she played 13 matches on TV altogether. That is way off. OGN hosted a ton of tournaments for women and I don't see a single one listed there (and January won a fair share of those).
