He just added an incredible amount of insight, especially in JFs game. If JF had Lee sat next to him in that game he would've stood a much better chance. | ||

i dont like him at all as a commentator. I like his insights, but his "sense of humour" is just too annoying. | ||

I don't think July toying with him means disrespect. July and Kal are far better players and everyone, including JF and Nony knows that. It's not like July did anything to humiliate Nony. He was just willing to play a longer, more entertaining game. Also, would you triple manner pylon someone in a serious game? | ||

More entertaining, maybe, but "more substance" or letting Nony back into the game? As much as July dragged it out, he was very much keeping Nony from ever having a real shot at getting back into that game. July knows showmanship but he also knows how to put away a game. As for the Kal triple manner pylon, don't see what's wrong with it if your opponent can't stop you from doing it. It's not like Kal did like proxy carriers or something absurd, I don't see what people are complaining about. It's a show match so he did something funny, I don't see how continuously doing manner pylons is somehow a hardcore win-at-all-costs strategy. All things considered, Nony and JF did pretty okay. Obviously there's a long way to go for top foreigners to match up well against top Korean pro-gamers but at least there's hope. | ||

One extreme is to toy with opponent and needlessly drag out games (disrespectful), the other extreme is exploit every weakness immediately and go for the fastest kill (a sign of respect or arrogance). Somewhere in the middle is best, and I think July was good in that sense. Its like this, July gave a chance for Nony to show his stuff, whereas Kal didn't. I don't really hate Kal for it though - he just took the game seriously. Its like a beginner martial artists against a master. The master could end the fight in 1 blow or he could toy/humiliate the beginner. The best would be for the master to probe his student to study his strengths/weaknesses and help him improve; it will always be clear who is the superior fighter, but this way the student can learn more... thats why Daniel said he would have liked to see JF play without being triple manner pylon rushed. | ||

LOL such a funny guy, and he really gets in depth to a more starcraft player friendly level. For example: He will talk about how JF is being aggressive by not taking his expo, and that he should be. Then he took his expo and Danny freaked out. Thats real shoutcasting!! | ||
