i didn't get his build at all in this video... i know white ra is a good player. but his build seemed really bad. especially since he didn't know if his opponent got a fast lair or not. any1 know what the speaker was saying?

As it was a cross-position situation and he did not see too many lings, he decided that he had little to fear from his oppo at that moment and in turn decided to wing it and put down a third nex. It was very hard to discern his comments at times because he set the game volume quite high and at times he was supressed by it. . . but that was the gist of it. Hope that helps.

Wow, I actually learned quite a bit from that I don't think I ever thought about gas resources like that at all to predict my opponent... clearly a difficult skill to learn that will require much experience, but very nice to hear it in action.

Youtube is always a good fallback, but the low quality and need for most users to chop up videos into 10min segments is a really big disadvantage. On the upside there are plenty of ways to download the youtube videos as *.mp4s for offline viewing on iPhones/Zunes/etc.
Real shame about vimeo, their vid quality was excellent.
Edit: uploading the HQ versions to the TL torrent tracker is an option as well, although I think having an internet-video copy is pretty much required nowadays.

And i actually cant use torrents at work.
Alex told me that his original file has an WMV format, that is very uncomfortable for converting and editing video.

beta.vreel.net - tried to upload, but speed was very sux (~60kbs max). I've uploaded video once, it let me, but when i tried to watch there was an error like "Not DivX video". So i recompressed file and trying to upload it. But now up.speed is 30-40kbs... that is more sux =\ 3 hours! wtf

I bought a samsung SyncMaster 2243nw for 150 euro last week and i REALLLY FUCKING LOVE IT
22" widescreen 5ms delay
you can play broodwar in a 4:3 resolution, the monitor autoadjusts it self to a 4:3 or 16 /16:10 depending on the resolution of the game / dekstop you use atm. No ghosting or w/e shit and it looks REALLY nice =D.
I took 5ms because the last time when i bought a 2ms i got all blue ghosting shit behind moving chartacters in all sorts of games changing to 5ms fixed that prob.

You could use something like Subtitle Workshop, it's pretty straightforward. The thing is that syncing the text to the video eats up much more time that the translation itself. If you could do this in a subtitle format, e.g. srt, you could then send it to me to do the embedding/uploading, or I could explain how to do that, it's pretty easy too.

Dear mister Vo-one. I really like what you do - it is a great job to make a subtitles for the exclusive content. But why don't you use copyrights of igamecentral.ru? At least you should keep the logo of igamecentral.ru in your vods. I hope you understand me and we won't have any problems in the future. Thanks for your attention.

Guys, laws - are the laws. And I can ask for the copyrights according to the russian, ukrainian and international laws, so I ask for this. My website have a lot of really good high-quality content, like the vods of White-Ra and people visit it. But that doesn't matter, that everyone can break the laws, if he wants.

According to an agreement between iGameCentral and MYM|White-Ra he is making 4-6 vods per month. And we are going to add one or two more authors after WCG. At this moment they don't want to show their tactics. I hope everyone will like our content and we won't have any troubles with copyrights in future.

there is nothing illegal by giving links to other sites that host the same content as you, no matter if the content there is uploaded illegally or not.
You should instead be greatful that these people here are translating the vods so your brand will get seen by more people than just russians, as white-ra keeps mentioning your site over and over again it's hard to miss. And that the vods are at all advertised in threads like this.
Be happy that the content is spread to a wider audience, everyone will notice it's from your site anyway.
Edit: I don't disagree that the original source should be linked and mentioned, but you dragging in a law book here is a little too aggressive.

I don't know exactly how it works with replays, but at least with videos (vods) as this it is the person creating the video who has all the copyright (according to swedish law, and I assume it's somewhat the same for most countries). Probably the same with replays but I'm not sure. I think in US you can give away copyright to another company or something, in Sweden you cannot (the creator will always have the copyright).

Exactly. He is very smart and calm in game. He is not like "OMGOMG he has mutalisks I am owned". He plays calmly and inteligently whole game. I think he has best knowledge about game from foreigner players, maybe his mechanics are a little bit worser than other TOP foreigners but his strategy sense compensate this.
