Blizzard recently revamped their store, with a totally new design and products.
More importantly, you can now digitally purchase games.
Even more surprising is that you can download any game that you own a valid cd-key for, free of charge of course. This means that as good as you have your cd-key, you will never have to worry about scratching your discs again (+ the no-cd patch that Warcraft/Starcraft had, it makes everything alot more convenient than before). All you have to do is to create an account and validate your games. Now all you have to do if you ever lose your cds/go to a lan is to go the site and download them!

hmm, did you register your starcraft copy already? my key doesn't seem to work. the format is xxxx-xxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx (4-5-4-6) all numbers. is yours similar and does it work?

In the game registration page, just put your cd key the way you have it, 4-5-4. And the system will automatically recognize the game you registered. After that you will be prompted to choose a language for future Downloads and such. After that it's registered to your email/account. foreverzzzzz.

ya I did already with my other games. thanks for the hint, I just had to omit the last 6 numbers.
oh, and thanks to the OP, I didn't know about the updated shop. this is really cool, it would have been even better if they just released their stuff on steam, it's better to have everything in one place.

You won't receive a CD, but will be able to download the iso's of the CD's

when i try to install SC it tells me to enter a 26 character CD-Key. 26??????? ????? ??????? ?????
My regular, 13 character CD key worked on the webpage but not the installer =|||
