Thought it might be handy to organize all our commentaries into one place, so here it is. Edit: This is only for commentaries made by me (Moletrap) and Diggity. See the central commentary thread for videos by other commentators.
We will also be posting our videos, as well as other starcraft related rantings and ravings and things we find interesting, on sc2gg.com
Please PM me if you find a broken or false link.
NOTE: This thread is completely out of disrepair. It hasn't been updated in a long time. Not sure if it will ever be updated because it would take a long time to do. Sorry.
Ongamenet Starleague (EVER OSL) 2007 Season 3 Round of 16 + Show Spoiler +
I forgot to properly record the awesome triple commentaries that we did, so... yeah, sorry. But Klaz went back and redid them all by himself, so here they are by Klaz, included for continuity of the series.
This is just the thread for only commentaries made by Diggity and myself (Moletrap). That is the thread for ALL commentaries.. on which I am going to try to get Sr18 to add a link to this thread. I will edit my first post to make it more clear..
Diggity I am so impressed by the quality of your commentaries, and your voice is just so easy to listen to, thank you my friend. Your effort is much appreciated.
Same goes to you too Moletrap, *thumbs up* - Keep it up guys
Diggity, I like your voice and I think you could be a good caster. But you need to work on your vocabulary: Savior is not Nada. 1 rax, cc, fast acad isn't a rush, and getting 4 barracks after an FE is pretty standard, not indicative of a big push. A lair is not a hive. A barracks is not a factory. Sunkens colonies are not sunken hatcheries. Not every expansion is a secondary.
Those are just the mistakes you made in the savior v ruby game. You mix up names of players and buildings a lot in all your commentaries. I'm not trying to be rude, but it really confuses me. If you could minimize those sorts of mistakes your commentaries would be very good, I think.
Believe me I am entirely aware of all my mistakes. Just in case I wasn't I have about 4 comments on every vid reminding me.
Still learning to do commentary on the fly. I prefer doing commentary on the first watch through because 1) it feels more honest and 2) its more organic.
However as a result there will always be minor errors here and there. Espeically at this stage when I only have a handfull of commentaries under my belt.
My only point of disagreement is: 1 rax, cc, fast acad isn't a rush, and getting 4 barracks after an FE is pretty standard, not indicative of a big push
Its indicative of aggressive infantry pushes rather than waiting for tanks with seige or a science vessel. Academy before Factory is also an indication of infantry dedication which is fairly standard against zerg, though I agree calling it a rush is a bit of an abuse of the term.
I also prefer matches that are commentated on first viewing. A voice-over analysis, by someone who has already seen the match, is also an interesting thing to watch (especially as a second viewing), but it should be presented as such.
Don't worry about negative comments. People wouldn't bother to watch and complain if it wasn't good.
You're both making very entertaining commentaries, the slips aren't really distracting, and I'm sure there will be less of them as you gain experience.
I have to say when you two posted your first commentaries I wasn't really impressed. But I just checked out the Group D games and they are a tremendous improvement! Keep up the good work, I am sure you'll get better and better with each VOD.
I think the Group G games werent as high as entertaining period.
Aside from that I have discovered that Terran v Terran is extremely difficult to commentate on. (Zerg v Terran being the easiest thus far in comparison). Outside of the Xellos match, Lomo Hery and 910 seemed indecisive and gunshy throughout most of their play.
I didn't bother posting 910's second game just because it was hard to watch.
Moletrap will be doing the losers and final match sometime today.
Not sure when we will have a chance to get to OSL and group B. I believe we are going go attempt a dual commentary for group B so look forward to that.
I'm actually starting to enjoy a different version of listening in English rather than the "OHHH REEEEBUHHHH NAWASIM NEE DAAAA" (edit: Literal translation is "Reeavvvvvvvvveeerrrrrrrr has arrivedddddddddd")
Definitely a solid choice for people who want to listen to some English commentaries
I go with Hwasin (who-way-sin) sometimes that slips into way-sin
Honestly that is the biggest issue I see with a lot of the commentaries
For example: Forgg
Is that For gg Forg-g forgg Forg-5 (Klazart mentioned this as an alias)
I was joking with Moletrap awhile ago about how YellOw could be Yell-Ow!
We do our best in the given circumstances.
The one player I always have a hard time with is Xellos (Zell-os v Zell-e-os). Like my turret=turret factory (is there another game with turret factories?) tick.
Just watched the Stork Mujuk match and I am actually surprised how well the dual commentating works. Please do this more often! You guys doing this regularly would really move BW further towards professional sport for us foreigners.
Finally got to watch your latest vods. You guys are really getting better every cast. Any plans on commentating on MSL Ro16? I can't watch a single game live so commented vods would be greatly appreciated.
I also really appreciate your efforts to give us entertaining english commentary, I've seen them all now, and I look forward to updates. Thanks again guys keep up the good work (ignore the haters) but don't burn yourselves out
Also thanks for the MSL Ro16 games. Especially July <> Mania was a great game I think. And of course Mania just won because of imba jet fighter support :-)
Nice job guys. I've noticed your insightfulness and understanding of the game has improved since I started watching these. Keep it up, you're both getting better and better
I recently interviewed Diggity about his English Commentaries. i am also running an interview with moletrap in a few days, and hopefully Klazart in the near future. check it out, feel free to leave me comments.
I saw your first few commentaries, you guys are pretty good, much better than Klaz when he first started, but put more emotion into it and you may even beat Klazart. Gj guys

I just watched Klaz' very first cast and I have to agree :-)
Looking forward to your upcoming VODs! Just in time for the weekend!
What July did do wrong is he didn't scout, it's as simple as that. He prolly just assumed Mania was building a CC on the ramp. But even that should have made him suspicious since it's much more common to directly go for the nat.
It's a very short game but I think this was your best commentary so far mole. You sound much more comfortable and confident.
i like these guys and what they are doing but they really need to learn starcraft. the mistakes in bo's and what the players are thinking really pisses me off
Only 4 days since their battle in the MSL Ro16, they meet up in Proleague. Will Oov redeem himself? Will Mind secure his domination over the king of macro?
Also added first game of Savior/Free Bo5 and Hwasin vs Haran @ Proleague.
LOL I just threw that probe dance thing together for fun and the stupid thing has gotten the most views of any of my videos and the most people asking about it. I didn't want to put anything on youtube so as to NOT CALL ATTENTION TO THE FACT IT WAS USED ILLEGALLY. But since people won't let it go, it's DJ Tiesto off of Search for Sunrise II - I forget which song but the whole album is awesome.
You hold out desperately. Coughing the thick smoke blowing over from your burning neighbours house. Everyone is evacuated already but you stayed all on your own not letting us down with sc audios.
You're my hero man.
Anyways i have a question that you could answer in one of your next audios: what do those korean kids actually scream in the beginning of the matches?
Good job on the nony v midian commentary, diggity. Its nice to watch foreigners sometimes and the commentary added alot to the experience. I enjoyed it.

In mind vs mania set 2 there were multiple shots of cloak being researched and you seemed to think mind was getting dropships. No big deal, it is pretty rare you make a mistake like this and that is why I am mentioning it. Keep up the good work.
Oh and I really liked the nony and yosh vids and hope to see more of those type of commentaries.
Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see Bisu vs Xellos commentary. Do you guys plan on doing dual commentary for the MSL finals? Because that would be really sweet.

Tasteless sounds real lame when his excited, sounds like he's faking it...
WHY DOES EVERY FUCKING COMPLIMENT HAVE TO BE A BACKHANDED ONE?
Tasteless is fucking incredible. Klazart is more fucking incredible than fucking incredible. Moletrap is fucking incredible Diggity is fucking incredible.
Every compliment has to backhand another! Compliments are a double edged sword :O
Diggity is very good, I like his calm method of commentating (I'm watching NonY vs Midian right now) I haven't seen any Moletrap but I'll be sure to check it out
diggity thanks for uploading a commentary video of me, you've now popped my youtube cherry. if you ever want/need a guest commentator i'd be more than happy to sit alongside you. thanks
Is there anything better than getting home late sunday and having this awesome awesome gem of a commentary waiting? Love you guys! It's going to be such a hard week looking forward to the finals....

You guys just rock, all three of you!
Well you'll probably have the OSL finals after your finals :D
I like Diggity for cool, calm, collected commentating and analysis, while I like Moletrap and Klazart for their excitement. And I love Klazart for his amazing humor. Keep up the good work guys.
You guys need some software that only let's one person talk at a time, or some sort of system where one calls the play, one talks strategy and the other talks about the players maps and leagues. Because during high-energy moments, I feel like my brain is melting when you're all yelling at me.

Dito, I like Diggity too. Klazart on the other hand sounds like someone having a nervous breakdown, his voice is annoying and I can't stand him
There are problems here and there (which i'm pretty sure have all been covered once or twice in this thread) but for the most part I'm just thankful for your english commentary =) keep it up.
His commentary is just so exhilarating that it feels like I'm watching football. There has been several occasions his commentary started a mosh pit in my house.
Your new commentary on the proleague Savior vs FBH match is kind of screwed it stops playing at round 2:24, plus the quality of the video is a bit questionable
We now have our special 200th dual commentary up in full (Savior vs FBH) after several tries to get it working (I had to use googlevideo because youtube was being lame) as well as a game between Stork and Much.
Honestly I dont know if I will ever be as good as tasteless
and edit:
Chill: WHY DOES EVERY FUCKING COMPLIMENT HAVE TO BE A BACKHANDED ONE?
I appreciate the thoughts but I prefer "you rock diggity" infinitely more than "you are better than so and so". In fact I really don't appreciate the ranking compliments at all.
If I'm your favorite, then awesome, but please don't belittle others on my behalf, I don't need that kind of compliment.
2nd Edit:

On the triple commentary on the OSL finals that didn't record we actually had a system down pat. Its too bad because the commentaries were fantastic (except perhaps the last game were I feel like we gave the game to jaedong a little early).
3rd Edit: But thanks for the thought don't want to hammer you too hard
I keep forgetting to bring my headphones back to work, but I'll watch your new commentaries on Monday hopefully. I'm excited to see the kinks worked out of the triple commentaries.
Diggity... your improvement is very strong. You have been bringing very good insight into the games you commentate. One example is how you describe how Mind likes to skip the middle game. I watched Minds games and said damn, he is dead balls on.
You also called the Orion v Jangbi winner much faster than I was able to. I thought the game was still up for grabs, you called it and were correct. Keep up the good work.
So you decide to bring back a thread years old dead to ask about diggity... Shame on you Let this thread rest in peace They are just 2 of the 5 pillars of english commentary =)

The reason why everyone still wonder about Cholera its because he never said Good Bye klaz and rise did Why cholera why !!! Make a new thread instead of using this one =)
In the good old days you had Moletrap, Diggity, Klazart, Cholera, and Rise.
I'd put psyonic reaver in there over klazart. I gotta admit though I didn't like psy commentating broodwar because of his voice, but his drunk beta streaming won me over. Hillarious. You still at it man?
In the good old days you had Moletrap, Diggity, Klazart, Cholera, and Rise. [/QUOTE]
Yeah, cholera never said goodbye.. he favorited a cople of heart surgery vids in the end, that was a weird move. he was still login in youtube quite often after he left but never said a word still. some people went as far as saying cholera was HDstarcraft with somekind of voice changer, i dont personaly beleive that, they did sound A LITTLE BIT alike, but we will never know will we.
Rise at some point in late BW or early SC2 beta made tryed to commentate on real fights, dont think that worked so good, was 1 fat drunk and another small sized monkey..
Klazart made a book, then left with miss klazart to have broodlings. was so sad when he left
I remember playing games on TMA with diggity, cholera and rise back when they were still on Sc2GG vent. i remember cholera QQin me so bad, then a second later he turns around and my 2 fenix and busting the others team nexus.. good times..
Dang, I wish Cholera had given some sort of Adios rather than just disapearing. Oh well, it has been forever since I've watched any BW commentaries, time for some nostalgia.

Yeah, Nuke is cool. And it is absolutely okay that he is sometimes off with his game analysis. Enthusiasm, voice and being interesting is far more important as long as you are not too far off. Another good caster we have is dejavu. His commentaries are cool to watch and his knowledge is very good. http://www.youtube.com/user/DejaVu119
