tbh I really don't see what the problem with the BSL13 system (and previous) was exactly..

I assume it had something to do with some persons (mainly artosis?) thinking/claiming that the "Eu-Inflation of mmr" makes things unfair.
Now I am not sure at all this had impact on the change up and Im also not entirely sure I got this right but this is the thing I assume could have played a role .. to make it "more equal"/"fair"

I don't believe we will have situation where 1750 mmr player qualifies for BSL ProLeague.
I just wanted to point out clearly that Asia has four spots in BSL14 qualifiers.
For those who complain: Wait till the end of qualifiers.
Personally I'm more afraid of lack of best players in South American representation than Asian representation.

I do agree that we have to wait for the end of the qualifiers.  Hopefully/expectedly some more chinese players will sign up the next week.

well I hope it'll end up working out well but it is definitely more confusing than ever before. Hopefully no big drama will ensue because of it.
I still like the old system much better but my voice doesn't matter so all I'm waiting for are amazing foreign BW games played by the best there are in the end

No, this system is correct.
If there is some deviation and the number of spots for a region does not reflect an adequate level of mmr then the system has to correct itself in the next qualification season.
The region that fails to have enough players that reach that mmr will have to be penalized in having reduced spots the next go-around. It's a natural weighting scenario.
I've implemented algorithms for this type of stuff in the past and in the average case it works quite well.
Knee-jerk reactions are not warranted.

Wasn't a joke, was my best guess at where his ladder ranking would place him. Gosuleague is a seriously competitive pool these days. Plenty of good players in hasuleague.

Based on historical data, he would likely get into GosuLeague with that ranking. There are plenty of players who don't confirm their participation for various reasons.
