^^
the maps look cool, hopefully they come to ladder soon
|
Is there any other change to the qualifiers except it's now two tournaments instead of three?
Nice to see it kick off again Excited for so many new maps!
|
THANK. GOD. FOR A DOUBLE ELIM RO 24 GROUP STAGE
|
Very exciting, especially the map pool
thx for the heads up

I don't see any difference from Polypoid, Largo, Good Night, except their names. I think Polypoid, Ascension, Eclipse should be replace by one MSL, one OSL and one Proleague map.
At least, we have Lemon. It's the best map in this season!

I'd be surprised if he actually manages to play to his standard because of his wrist, personally I wouldn't even partake, I'd get my wrist fixed.

Wrists don't really get 'fixed'.

Great to have it back. If Larva really isn't participating, there'll also be a wild card mini tournament to look forward to.
|
awesome, I love how to randomly take a look at TL and see there are still BW tournaments <3
|
it seems that both qualifiers are now online, so theres no point in dividing it by city. Anyway ASL hype!!
|
Really awesome to see a map from the New Worlds Map Contest being adopted into ASL!
|
Yup Larva is out because of wrist problems Wildcard match will be on sunday 7pm KST Ro4 JyJ vs Best and Snow vs Rush Bo3
|
Any ideas on if the qualifier change is likely to stay after COVID restrictions are lifted in Korea?
|
Didn’t Larva retire anyway?
This will be fun, hope to see some newcomers 🥰

Ehm.. the problem usually lies with the player not their injury. Getting surgery and grinding games a fart after, that's never gonna fix anything.

Anyone know if any foreigners going to be joining the qualifiers? Artosis and Dewalt again maybe??

YEEEEEEEEES GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations my friend. I don't usually follow the pro-gamer scene, partly because I don't have the time to follow both the foreign and Korean scenes, and partly because the latter lacks the community feel of the former, but I look forward to watching some of the ASL games on newer maps, especially GOOD NIGHT which the foreign mapmaking community successfully exported to the pro-gaming domain. This was a remarkable achievement in my opinion. Big shout out to ASL admins and LatiAs for making it possible. And, of course, keep it up.

First game Rush vs Snow was hilarious. Rush dropped Snow's main with vultures like 4-5 times (possible the same vultures) and by the end of the game Snow lost like 30 workers to vultures drive-bys
|
Terran has had time to adjust perfectly to these maps. Rush basically knew every single little thing he had to do to win comfortably in all of his games.
Game nr.2 vs Best was hilarious, after Rush scouted his proxy, a 200 vs 200 army cat and mouse game with Best shuffling all of his units around the map in hope he can somehow turn it around.
At that point though, even Artosis could win that game.

Where are you guys watching?

Lemon looks pretty cool. Hopefully it replaces Plasma on the ladder soon.
|
In case anyone's interested to know:
LatiAs, the author of Ascension, also made Eclipse, Largo and Neo-Sylphid.
Waldstein, the author of Lemon also made Ringing Bloom and Ultimate Stream.
EarthAttack, the author of Revolver also made Optimizer, Plasma, Hidden Track, Circuit Breakers, Match Point, Destination, Blue Storm, Pathfinder, among other maps.
CrystalDrag, author of GOOD NIGHT, also made Cross Game, among other lesser known maps.

I see many old school players these days play ladder like Nada,Yellow...And some of them are still really good. What you think is there any chance of some old school heads will try to qualify for ASL S12? Still remember Nada in ASL S7 and those nuke fail! He was so close to be in RO16!

Nada is my second favorite pro, after my baby JD. Indeed , when I watch who is streaming, apart from the usuals like Best, Zero, Light etc I sometimes see Nal_rA, Nada, Gorush, yellow (only once), julyzerg !

would they even be able to travel if they qualified?

Anyone know of any bookmakers that have odds on ASL?
