Jus't repporting may be they have something in common lol. There were problems with stats and server responses, but they were fixed be couple of days ago. Lack of stats was due to no space on drive, should work ok now.

There are highly technical folks in the community you have created I've used wine6.15-staging for the game and it worked fine for last year or so. Lately they changed something in battle.net and it wont start. I am not the only one expiriencing this issue. Now I have found builds of wine that start battle.net ok but the will not work with starcraft itself. I have to find build of wine that will work with both battle.net and the game itself.

You mentioned using Wine 5.15-staging successfully before, which suggests the problem likely lies in a recent update to Battle.net or its launcher dependencies. One thing worth trying is using Lutris combined with a known working Wine version. For instance, lutris-wine-ge-8-26-x86_64 has been reported to work with both Battle.net and StarCraft. If you're not already using Lutris, it's a solid option for managing Wine versions more easily. Alternatively, it might help to revert entirely to Wine 5.15 and try launching the game directly, bypassing Battle.net if possible—especially if you're just playing singleplayer or vs bots. Also, the WineHQ AppDB might have some recent reports or workarounds logged that relate to this issue. Sometimes the community there picks up on DLL conflicts or runtime flags that fix things temporarily. For deeper troubleshooting, launching Battle.net with debug logging enabled (WINEDEBUG=+loaddll wine Battle.net.exe) could help pinpoint what’s going wrong—maybe it's a specific dependency or load failure. Lastly, if your goal is to run AI matches or test builds, a Battle.net-free setup (e.g. direct .exe launch or LAN tools) might work as a temporary workaround until a Wine patch or launcher fix is available. Hope that helps—let me know if anything works for you. I'm also keeping an eye out for more permanent fixes.

In that case, bypassing Battle.net entirely won’t be a viable option. But Lutris with lutris-wine-ge-8-26-x86_64 might still be the most stable combo for current multiplayer compatibility via Battle.net. I’ve seen others have success with that exact build recently, even after the latest launcher changes. It could also be worth checking if the bot scripts or loader (e.g. StarCall or ICCup-based tools) are expecting a specific path or runtime condition that newer Battle.net versions disrupt. Launching the game and the bot environment through a controlled Wine prefix might help with consistency. If I find a working config that allows bots + Battle.net to launch under Wine, I’ll share it here — I’m experimenting with some older prefixes and patched runners right now. Let’s keep each other posted. Would be great to crack this one together.

API Changes: Blizzard may have changed features or interfaces accessed by the bot (e.g. matchmaking logic, UI elements, lobby creation). New anti-bot measures: The game may have received mechanisms to detect and block automated processes. Changed memory structures: Many bots access data using memory reading techniques - changes to this can make them unusable.
