BW People Radio was a program casted by PLU back in 2008-2010(?), live broadcast OSL/MSL/SPL, caster: Sanpao, XDLove, 2long, etc. 1.plu.cn, the domain name.
That is so amazing! Congratulations. Keep us posted! I can't wait. Would be also cool to get a replay-pack from the Chinese qualifers if it'll be available at some point later.

My understanding is that Flash won't play in something like ASL or KSL, but would consider showmatches and team leagues. Also, I'm sure there's some good cash to be made here lol.
JD will go to army soon, he’s forbidden to go aboard now, so Zero was invited instead. What a pity we can not witness TaekBangLeeSsang on stage together.
A recap of offline events in China after 2012 (bw dark age till 2017 imo): In 2013, 2013 StarCraft Asian Open Savior Movie Scan Beast were invited.

there is no official announcement from JD yet, we only know because JD mentioned it to the chinese organizer as the reason for declining the invite for this showmatch.
Wow, looks like it'll be an incredible production. The venue looks amazing. Even inviting the Stargirls!
You know, it may also come to be the first set that Bisu and Flash could play against each other since Bisu's release from the army. They didn't play more than Bo1 against each other yet inside the league. This event may bring a full set and even offline.
I hope we get VODs or replays from the chinese qualifiers too, that would be very interesting to see.

Afaik at some point they aren't allowed to leave the country anymore if they haven't done their service yet. JD even said at the blizzcon that he played vs Bisu, that that might be his last time abroad before the service.
Looking at the history of the event, they have a habit of inviting savior and I remember a lot of drama when he won some 2v2 tourney in China a while back. Honestly, if they can't get JD they might as well get savior over zero.

Huh? I don't see how that could be good, as the others wouldn't be happy with that choice. Zero is a clear and good choice for a JD replacement, he's on fire right now.

I guess those don't count as (ex-)progamer? I don't even care who they invite, I just think if you have went out of your way to get Kespa to call in, because you keep inviting the worst thing to ever happen to BW (I guess besides the SC2 switch and Blizz suing Kespa/OGN/MBC), you might as well keep doing it.

Theres a reason why when savior is invited only 1 A class pro showed up (Movie), while when he is not invited the cream of the crop shows up. Most pros will not want to play savior even in a ladder game, I have seen bisu leave his ladder game after his opponent revealed he was savior.

Actually CN BW competitive&active player pool is rather small now, less than 30, and skill gap is huge.
Sad to hear. When did the scene fade? Do any of the old legends still play? Like Pj, Lx, F91, Super, ChinaTTTT, hpq, Phoenix, Rushgoon, LoveTT, Eva, Beckham etc?

Well I guess it's a bonus there's still a scene in China? Not really sure what was the size of it before.

Stream quality is nice, although the chat messages across the screen is probably the most annoying thing I have ever witnessed in my life as a gamer / streamer.

You can turn them off by turning the knob next to the volume to 0%

It's the "How much do you want to be annoyed?" option. I go for 0% lol

You can turn Message and Gift Effect off, just try the buttons at the corner.

Post-game interview, Sanpao Flash interpreter. Flash said he maybe will participate one last time ASL/KSL before military service. And strongest opponents now: P: Bisu Rain T: Last Z: Effort
150 vs 95, 4th was running for Bisu with better upgrades. Was on the offense, had map control and manage to get 5 canons+ on 4th. The edge was clear. wasnt enough.
On October 06 2019 15:23 ggsimida wrote: could have won if he had bumrush the ramp at zero's 4th, but hesitated and let him form eggs to block
He actually could've ran zealots up once he killed the 6hp egg, but he chose to engage the army instead... I think in retrospect that was not a good choice
I sometimes wonder why Flash doesn't try to make the show a bit better by just playing some funky strats. Just try a nuke rush for the fun of it or use some unconventional strat. That would at least make the games a bit more interesting and it's obvious Stork had 0 chance to win this at all.
I wish I knew this was going on, I mean, I live in Shanghai, if I had known this was organized this weekend I def would have attended it or at least try to. Unfortunately 0 connection to the Chinese bw scene, so didn't hear anything about it. Before there were quite a few foreign BW ppl in Shanghai, but unfortunately that also seems to have died =[
Well as expected another 4-0... Feels like Flash tried a somewhat suboptimal strat that last game but he still easily wins... Despite the great players attending I do feel the games were ... not the best ever

I think the games really show the current hierarchy very well. Bisu is doing well but has a lot of catching up to do skillwise. And just look at the games results, shows what we see generally in progamers team matches atm, P just can't deal with Z, and while Z deals perfectly well with T, no one can deal with Flash in any way whatsoever... Snow, Zero, Rain, Bisu... Flash beats them all to a pulp. Zero is tearing everyone apart on streams including all other Terrans, Last can barely take a game off him, but then Zero gets torn apart by Flash 4-0 offline, so... there you go.

From his stream Bisu's PvP seems like his weakest matcup atm yeah. PvZ is incredibly hard right now persiod, so he loses a ton PvZ as well, but he does much better than other Protosses so you can't say its his weakest even though on paper he might lose more PvZ than PvP.

My understanding is that they don't which is why you saw all the blood being turned to black goo instead. You can see this well when an overlord gets killed for example.
What an awesome event! Great hosts, great venue and awesome crowd! The commentators were really knowledgeable as well, able to explain build orders, strategies and even talked about the Kespa era a little. Hope they do another one soon!

The commentators, most of them worked for PLU 10 years ago, the golden age of SPL/OSL/MSL.

Flash has such a mental edge over the competition (except maybe vs effort). His standard game is so strong that his opponents are almost never prepared for cheesier stuff from him.
