here are a few more commentaries from the MSL Week 1.2 Matches played earlier today. I actually have never seen these games before since I overslept this morning and I didn't watch the vods before commentating. So let me know if you prefer this style or the style of the other vods.
Also some people suggested youtube and I'm posting the videos on that today. I like the nifty features like subscribers and stuff, but the 10 minute limit is a bit of a pain, so let me know what everyone prefers. I guess this way is easier for ppl to track when I upload a new commentary.

Great VOD again, I think you so far are the best in the TL Commentary contest. Too much 'and and and and' but accent is awesome and you are enthusiastic at the same time as being informative about players, strategies, and what's going on. 10/10!!!

If you choose to put them on Youtube, you should probably use more specific tags, like include the player names. Just for ease of finding them.

Ah I see, my mistake. I just thought you didn't because the other parts of the video weren't showing up in the 'related' videos section. Maybe it's because you used too many general tags like "starcraft korea pro-gaming e-sports".

I understnd the restriction of time when uploading a vod to YutTube. I am happy you chose to do so anyways. I also agree with you that Savior sems to have figured out that spreading a player thin like he was vs Bisu is something that he could use as well. Are you going to customise your channel on YouTube for commentaries?

I'm not sure how the customise channel thingy works, I've only just started using youtube so i will have to play around with it a bit. Not sure if I will stick with you tube since most ppl here seem to prefer google video but I dunno.

I guess I say umm.. and stutter a bit because I talk so fast and there is so much going on that I don't have a chance to recollect my thoughts and those serve to give me thinking time. I'll try and work on it and not say anything when i'm trying to think but it all happens so fast it's reflex and hard to control.

Once again, awesome commentary and stuff, although I have to disagree with some of the finer points of your analysis.
Savior vs. Stork:
It looked like Savior was anticipating FE with a 3hatch build, but instead he got 1gate tech. He purposely showed Stork the fast lords + hydras outside the nat, which is typical for lurk contains or hydra all-ins before doing an unexpected drop. Also, I think Savior was waiting for drop research, not lurker aspect, to finish before going in.
Nal_rA vs. July
rA lost because of the attempted expansion I think, since he was forced to position his zealots farther away from his ramp or otherwise lose the nexus warping in, although he definitely could have microed better when he saw the lings. You could tell July was going for a hydra/ling attack instead of hydra/lurk just from the hydra speed upgrade, since you skip that for lurker aspect otherwise. Oh and the difference between speedlings and normal lings is pretty obvious I think

I think Nal_ra lost cause of failed rush cause he was then behind in economy and had no choice but to expand, if he hadn't then july would have had too much of a lead anyways. Ya usually I can tell, it seemed to me that those lings weren't upgraded at the time I made that comment but I found that surprising since it was pretty late in the game so i had expected july to have upgraded them.

Hmm... you're right. 2gate rushes are really more do-or-die builds. Although economically, I think it's safe to say rA probably had more probes on one base than July had drones on both bases, since July had to cut a lot of drone production for mass lings.
Failed 2gate into expo builds are pretty much vulnerable to anything: 3hatch lings, 3hatch hydras, 3hatch mutas.

heh abit missjudgement in that last game, xellos had like 9 scvs total.. 7 in exp and 2 or 3 in main.. and 910 had like 20 scv main and expo with lots... xellos should have called gg much earlier

ya i realised that at the end but ran out of time because i wanted to keep the vid at 10 minutes lol. But ya misjudgement by me there. It's just I've never seen a terran lose because of wraith harass. Usually it does a bit of damage but isn't game crippling. I was too busy comenting on everything else going on to actually notice and count how many SCV's xellos had left (i just assumed he would be fine).
One of the disadvantages of commenting without ever seeing the game b4 i guess. So appologies again for that.

GoRush vs Sea up now.
I won't be doing any more for a few days though got other work to catch up on!

Damn, nice commentaries. I wished I didn't watch all of the games already so I could've enjoyed them with your commentaries the first time I watched them. But still great commentaries, I'll wait for it next time there are new games.

Gokai - I appreciate the complement but i prolly won't be able to make a new one till the next MSL matches or OSL matches. Since i have work to do for the next few days. But I'm sure one of the other guys like superwolf, sr18, azn or seraphim will be doing one

Not only thx for uploading the videos of some of the most recent matches on uTube, but the commentary was great! Simply great!
Everything about ur commentary was dead on - and exactly how it should be. You did a great job w/ the play-by-play and also making use of the maps they were playing on, and making notice of what the players should and shouldn't have been doing.
Poor Protoss =[
both Stork and Nal_rA fell to the swarm.. but it wasn't really a surprise. All Zerg have upperhand at beginning and when they're pro to, they will definately make good use of their early advantages.
You saw it in both games, the sheer dominance that Z can exude. With Stork v Savior - it was the drops, one after another. There are certain weapons the Z has that makes any attempt to defend against those useless. He tried to hold a frontal guard, while he expo'd - so he just dropped over n over.
In the Nal_rA v JulyZerg match, you know that if Kang didn't know whether July was going to hydra or muta, and he spent a lot of money on cannons at his front and natural expo, July would have either went muta or drops too. So either way, there is no way to be safe from Zerg. The fact that they get that expo so quick, by the time Protoss gets their expansion secured they've been harassed so much or set back possibly, that Zerg gets another 1-2 expos and it just continues from there. It takes some really spectacular play for the Protoss to get the upperhand - however, it's often called "cheese" =[

Haha okay, it maybe wasnt nal_ra going expansion before cannons vs 3 hatch or stork trying 1 gateway expansion with templar, corsair and robo tech against hydralurker drops. Right, it's because zvp is so imbalanced p cant live more than 10 minutes. ok.

Your audio's are decent, btw GoRush is insanely good and hes always been good and he doesn't do basic or "uninventive" stuff... watch him vs savior he won with 2 hatch and tried to rush a infested command center and if you read his interview he explained the whole strategy and no1 ever does that, so GoRush is very inventive imo, I stopped like 3minutes in on the GoRush audio I couldn't take it anymore =/

Uh, he is a far better commentator than you and most people on this site I believe, so atleast give him some constructive criticism or do it better yourself if you are gonna whine.
Only Tasteless is a better commentator in my opinion.

hehe, i understand your feelings. unfortunately if you listend to the rest of the audio u would see that I did talk about that desperado game vs savior and also later admit he can be inventive. It's just that i've seen a lot of his recent games (last season) and in proleague where he lacks lusture. and ofc i'm always comparing him to savior. that's a tough yardstick to measure anyone by.

Most entertaining commentaries I've ever seen. PLEASE, keep them coming! :D Loved them all. You have a good voice, your speak continuously, and you have interesting things to say. Plus you have a kick ass accent

PS: I prefer youtube because it's easier to download (google lets me download one, and then screws up when I go to the second for some reason). I watch them on my iPod
EDIT: Actually I figured out how to get it to work with google (I restart firefox after each dl) so change my vote to google Much better dl speed there anyway.

I don't know if this goes under in this big topic, but i actually only registered to tell you how much i am enjoying to listen to your audios, and to motivate you to keep em coming.
So thanks a lot, you're excellent. I watched quite some hours already! The best moments are when even you are baffled and it goes: "Okay i can't see how this move makes sense, i really don't think that can work in any way" followed by a "OMG it works out. Genious play, absolutely genius...etc" like saviors mutalisk harass vs shinhan on neo arkanoid in game 5, Or Iloveoov rushing a single tank and winning the game with it.
Thats not to say you don't know what you're talking about, it's just cool to see that these guys pull off things that even an experienced commentator doesn't count with.
Only the speech quality could be better, but that's a technical thing guess you need to choose a low bandwidth.
Oh and it so often seems to be the maps fault if savior loses, it's suspicious
So thanks again, and i hope you keep doing these a long time.
