I remember there's a map VERY similar to Peaks, I think ... there was a game between Nal_rA and Casy in a Shinhan tournament, possibly the first one. It looked pretty freaky, but it wasn't inverted; there were lots of changes. Probably an old map?

The current peaks is the reversed old peaks (old peaks was hidiously imbalanced).

The Peaks that is currently being played (and has been played for a while) is the newer, inverted (and otherwise changed) version of a Peaks that was used for a single season in the progaming circuit (Was too imbalanced and hence changed).
However, wcg in its retardedness went back to use the old imbalanced peaks for this year....

rofl Cannon rushing was the PREFERRED tactic on the old Peaks; awfully retarded map, in my opinion. Just make a couple of Cannons on their ledge, and then dual proxy Gateways, tech to DTs and now your PvT record is 859305830892034:0 on Peaks

the old map was hilariously imbalanced. Zerg going one hatch lurker/muta, protoss going proxies and rushes all over the place, cannons and bunkers over the cliffs, and of course boxer completely dominating zerg on it.
