****EDIT****: Problem solved thx to Scan and toriak! If you wanna play games w/ WLauncher on Fish follow these steps:
Quick summary on how to get WLauncher to work on Fish:
1) Follow this thread (DL WLauncher and setup your WLauncher settings as shown): https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/46il88/fish_server_a_detailed_an_extensive_guide/
2) Go to Control Panel > Region and Language
3) Under Formats (tab) select Korean
4) Under Administrative (tab) click "Change system locale" and select Korean
5) Under Keyboards and Languages click "Change Keyboards" and add Korean + Microsoft IME, make it your default language (from English). Please note that your keyboard layout will change back to english once you alt tab into BW. You're gonna need to right click your language icon (on desktop) and select "Show/Restore the language bar" in order to have a floating bar on your desktop. That way you'll be able to switch to Hangul (korean) inside the lobby.
6) Run SC, create a game and type "sksms gksrnrdls", this will only work if you can see hangul inside the lobby (which is why we switched System Locale and Format to Korean). Typing that gives 나는 한국인 which enables all your WLauncher features (WDetector etc.).
7) Switch your keyboard layout back to english
8) You need to type "sksms gksrnrdls" (make sure you write it on a piece of paper or notepad to remember it) to enable WLauncher every time you restart BW
9) HF laddering!

For some reason my WLauncher never works on Fish. When i join a game i always get an error message (im assuming thats what it is because i never see anyone's WLauncher version).

Change your system locale.
Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region
From English to Korean.
When you run sc, create/join a gameroom and then type "sksms gksrnrdls(나는 한국인)" in korean keyboard layout.
You will have full wlauncher features.

-left alt + left shift switches between english and korean
-once u have korean u likely have to press right alt to switch to hangul

During the installation i unchecked 3 boxes (because the guide said they were junk), 1 of them was called "WLAUNCHER" and the other 2 were in korean, was i supposed to do that?

try typing the sksms gksrnrdls code in game lobby several times. i remember that it took me a few times until it worked (i never got why though ^^)

In lobby u must see hangul. Go to language and regional options in windows and change both format and location to korean (system locale too of course). Try again in lobby, it should work now.

Hmmm well i think my Wlauncher is working because i just played a #l2 game without getting disced, that must mean my wdetector is working, right?
I just find it odd that im getting banned so much and that i cant get to see the ingame player list w/ WLauncher versions (but thats because i dont have the features enabled?)..

no it just means that your latency changer works. Wdetector is not activated until u can see time/date/player list.
You would get disced from #w games

yo TT1. the right alt button switches from korean to english, whilst shift+alt switches between keyboards. its nice, for long time i had my language bar maximized and fought tooth and nail, then learned this, omg, never had a problem since, and language bar stayes minimized since as well. lol.

yes, and be sure to switch back to american keyboard (left alt + shift) afterwards, or you wont be able to set hotkeys with the right control button.

Really wish they'd remove "sksms gksrnrdls", would make it so much easier for foreigners to use WLauncher. I also don't like having my Format/Location/System Locale as Korean, oh well sacrifices must be made

It is possible to remove the announcement at the beginning of the game that says you are using mcalauncher. I never had any korean complaining about mcalauncher. Only the relatively high ping was/is the issue. I wish i was Russian or American so I'd be able to play Fish without lags :D

I also experienced lag w/ mca on Fish (even with relatively decent ping), game feels much smoother w/ WLauncher.

Another wave = 1 person amongst the population of 25k+ users on fish. Are you being serious right now?
You can choose if you want to play with foreigners or not. Koreans outnumber them 100:1 at LEAST. No need to be an asshole. Also you can see their ping when they join the lobby. If you're so inclined to not play people with 100-150 more ping than normal feel free to boot them. Not doing Brood War any good acting like you are though.
Also to note I play on fish too and I don't feel like I'm obligated to play with koreans. I have 300 ping and if they boot me, fine. I know how frustrating the experience is when I play on ICCup with people who have 500+ ping and it isn't fun. It doesn't even feel like Brood War to me when the game has to played in incremental phases cause of how bad the lag is. But unlike you, some people don't mind. And not all foreigners want to ladder on the fish server. Grow up.

hm, i have a question actually, has anyone figured out how to have the chat lobby (channel chat), show icons whilst using wLauncher? Currently in [::LADDER;;] or anywhere else for that matter, I can't see anyones ranks, or username logo's. I can however when using mcalauncher, whats the fix for wLauncher, I am on windows 7, is that just my current luck with windows 7 and wLauncher?

im using win7 and wlauncher and have no such problem...
however i would try 설정 tab in wlauncher and toogle some of the last 4 boxes (기타)

you need to dl ddraw.dll and put it in ur sc folder

Also its not like everyone ladders on fish, some ppl teamplay/play melee etc. And i was already playing on fish with a different launcher xD

Sry. I was away from this thread for a while. Yes. I forgot to mention about changing format as well when you are changing the system locale.
You can have the location in the US. That's what I did when I was in CA.
It is annoying that you have to type "sksms gksrnrdls" all the time when you restart your SC.
If you really want to fix that, you have to change your operation system in Korean(like Win7 KR) as display and stuff.
I do not know how exactly this autolock features, but with Win7 professional, I couldn't do anything about it.

Does WLauncher have DDraw? I can't find the option anywhere and i dont wanna add ddraw manually to my sc folder, makes my game lag a bit.

Well, I get the same message when I create games, people join and I get to play games. I don't get them when joining other people's games iirc. If you create the game, I'm pretty sure your NAT will always be zero as you're the host?
Will have to wait until someone more knowledgeable shows up.

Now it's fine, message stopped popping. Weird. Although I unchecked some plugin options from launcher like guide said. Played couple games and everything is cool. Setting up it properly is the pain the ass but the joy of playing and winning is inexplicable joy

I did all the steps but when I try to write something it is on English even when Language bar shows Korean "KO". I can see Korean language in game. Even when I copy/paste something it is on Korean... Does anyone knows how to fix the input. When I click on visualization option it shows "English"..

Important to know / solution to the problem:
wLauncher verification worked with copy/paste only on full screen mode! Just copy and paste from TT1 1st post the Korean symbols.
