I used to play a lot of ums games and i like watching flash playing ums games that i also like. But i like watching flash playing normal 1v1 games better... Not that i am the most dilligent viewer but 2 games in 8 hours is just a bit too less than expected for me. I just switch to zero or hero for example

Basically because I want to learn from him;) learned so much subtle things already..

He makes wonderful adjustments and decisions every, single, game + I'll never understand how his mineral count never goes above 1000k, even in most tense situations. yeah idk how he manages to not bank 100,000 minerals in intense micro battles edit~ 1,000,000 minerals

![]() numbers schnumbers right Flash is really intelligent with the order he makes scvs versus other things in the early game. He actually does it abit differently than most other terrans such as light, sea, hiya and so on. As an example: In TvP, FD opening, Flash usually places his second suply at the same time he places the factory. After this he usually prioritize an scv before his first marine. This is very subtle, most gamers build the marine directly upon rax finnishing, then placing factory and then suply with the scv popping out. Flash's way allows for constant scvs and equal ammount of marines for the first tank without suply blockage. Add all these things up and you fast have a wide array of interesting tricks to get your economy going. When to use them, and when not to use them. As for his macro, in general I think it's just very hard to copy. Basically his macro using left hand only is so fast. He mostly produces marines by using the keyboard only, which starts getting quite tricky once you have 4 barracks. 4m 5m 6m 7m isn't the easiest thing to press so fast, but allows for attention elsewhere while macroing which I think is the key to his low mineral count. It remember it's not only marines but medics and bats at moments. I just cannot really understand how he does it that fast, seems impossible. Maybe korean keyboard layout is different? For example, I'd be able to do it with siege tanks from factorys, but not marines for barracks. He uses all F-keys on mineral locations which is a good thing if you can handle all macro in some other way (like for example doubletapping a hotkeyed building). I'm stuck with using one F-key on production, atleast after more than 2 rax in TvZ and more than 5 in TvP..

I just switch to zero or hero for example In my perception, there's a group of ex progamers, that fall in the same category. They have been pro's for a long time, they reached a lot of their goals and were very popular. They have had a rigorous training schedule, a lot of matches to prepare for etc for the majority of their adult life and teenage years. Now, that they retired, they take the liberty to still play the game but in a much more relaxed fashion- and i can't blame them for that. They play more off race games, more fun UMS maps or Hunters, while still maintaining a strong form. ![]() ![]() so, i agree it's not about balloons in my opinion, it's about playing the game in a relaxed fashion; the priority is Fun -> Results in contrary to their pro career, which demanded the top form and best preparation every week, every match, for many years.
