Hi all

When do you guys think that Savior started to dominate?

I have few informations (so don't flame me if I'm wrong) but I understand that he 3-0ed oov? When (date) did that happen? Could that moment be considered the starting of Savior dominance period?

When the score between them reached 7-1 everybody started to say: Savior is dominating?

When did Savior won the first MBC?

Thank you
You talking to me? You talking to me? You talking to me? Then who the hell else are you talking to? You talking to me? Well, I am the only one here. Who do the fuck do you think you are talking to? Oh, yeah? Ok.

Mani's kid:
"Daddy, what's a rabbit?"
Mani:
"Take the dictionary, it has every information and definitions you need. Feast!"

Hanyways to op:
I think Savior is really always there and kinda constant, like a sort of hidden gem behind nada/oov w/e since he's in MSL more than OSL.
However once he gets 4th or so straight MSL championship and raped boxer, nada, oov, and bunch of other players people started to notice him
Then it's like "HOLY SHIT IT"S SAVIOR!"
Life is run, it is dance, it is fast, passionate and BAM!, you dance and sing and booze while you can for now is the time and time is mine. Smile and laugh when still can for now is the time and soon you die!

It is my dream that one day the articles section will be as extensive as a dictionary. For now however, it is a lowly compilation of links. Clicking a single one, entitled "MSL History" will clearly give the answer he requires. It is then my hope he will continue to browse, examining the fine works collected there.

how would a dictionary explain the sky being blue, aren't you thinking of a book perhaps of the science category?

savior beat reach in his first MSL final win, i think people started to realise that reach didn't lose those game, savior won them, and with ease. He also raped oov 3-0 at about the same time (not just beat him RAPED him, tho admittedly oov used questionable strats and was on his downward spiral).

That's when i personally realised he was for real, but his ZvZ was still really poor (chojja dominated him around that time). I dont think he's lost many ZvZ games since that and every win has added to his growing legend.

He really secured it when he beat nada in the superfight (although nada's nowhere near his former greatness), but i think winning both OSL and MSL at once this season (if he can do it) will make questions about him being the best player ever somewhat better founded.

I know how great articles are but for some reason it is not read much at all.
Maybe a nav bar at left or something...
I dunno, it seems that Articles are sort of like uber featured threads, and it never get updated quickly enough to worth keep reading.
Then hmm... it may well turn into a dictionary that noone will read save for the most desperate moments for some hard facts, which you could just ask here xD

Something of that sort but I was looking more into a boring book, like a dictionary.

OK, so Savior won the first MBC in August 2005
When did he beat oov with 3-0 ? (the date)

The highlights of his dominance period seem to be:
- the 3-0 vs Boxer in superfight (September (?) 2006)
- the 3-1 vs NaDa in superfight (autumn 2006)
- the 3-0 in Proleague superfight: All kill (January (?) 2007)

Was Savior considered dominant before he 3-0ed Boxer in superfight?
You talking to me? You talking to me? You talking to me? Then who the hell else are you talking to? You talking to me? Well, I am the only one here. Who do the fuck do you think you are talking to? Oh, yeah? Ok.

When he won his first MSL (Uzoo), in August 2005 (i think?), no one knew if he would be a one-timer or if he would become really dominant.

But when he came back in Cyon MSL and reached the final by winning 3-0 against Oov in the losers final, people started to look at him differently i'd say. Even if he lost that MSL to Chojja, it was ZvZ and Chojja was probably the best at ZvZ at that time. So it was around january 2006 that he started to get really interesting, his record vs Oov being something like 7-1, his drone-whoring style was impressive, well he had it all.

It became even more obvious he was really a great player in Pringles 1. He was dominating MSL for a year. His only problem was qualifying to OSL, which he did finally this season and he proved he could be big there too.

So well, it depends what you call a "dominant player". Savior has been the dominant player in MSL for almost 2 years now.
In OSL, he's only starting to prove it.

i agree completely with this =O

even after his first MSL win (UZOO in summer 05) i didn't consider him that good even... by the time he reached finals with chojja he was definitely becoming dominant in MSL

and january 06 it really was interesting haha

3-0ing boxer was more proof of his dominance than actually defining it, and when he won his 2nd MSL it was more clear he was dominating in the same way oov and nada did

Many thanks. You really gave the answers I was looking for.
Here are my (personal) conclusions:

1. Savior is a very good BW player.
2. Savior has been the dominant player in MSL for almost 1 1/2 years now.
3. He just reached the first OSL final.

Now, to all those that say Savior is the best player in BW history: read this thread.

I will say only this:
Boxer (around since 1999): 2 OSL + 1 MBC + 2 WCG + another 4 OSL finals
NaDa (around since 2002): 3 OSL + 3 MBC (consecutive) + 1 (or 2) GhemTV + the first KT-KTF Grand Final + another 3 MSL finals + another 1 OSL final (now)

About being the most dominant player: see Nada, especially when he won KT-KTF with 16-1. See also Iloveoov: 2 OSL + 3 MBC (consecutive) + 1 WCG + another 2 OGN 3th places.
Edit: About oov, see also: this page (the bottom of the page, picture with oov's percentages).
I think many people are forgetting that those percentages include individual games, not series. Oov wasn't just winning sets, he was winning them 2-0, 3-0 constantly.

One more thing: read this
Savior is recently starting to have some problems with the terrans (Midas, Hwasin, Iris). He won those matches, but very hard. He was pushed. Could these be the signs that his dominance period could come to a near end? Time will tell...
You talking to me? You talking to me? You talking to me? Then who the hell else are you talking to? You talking to me? Well, I am the only one here. Who do the fuck do you think you are talking to? Oh, yeah? Ok.

I only really notice Savior's dominance after he beat Boxer 3-0 in the first SuperFight, about half a year ago.
Before that, if you asked someone about Savior, it'd most likely be like he's the guy that doing well in MSL only, and raping Oov many times, people knew he's got a style and his play was smart, blah blah but that's all. He was not really as impressive as after the first SuperFight IMO.
His BO and strats looked pretty boring at first, until he kept beating big names and people started to find the extraordinary aspects in it. After his 2nd MSL win, it's easy to notice that more and more Zergs were learning from him and Ts and Ps were adapting themselves to his strats. I think the popularity of 3 hatch build, nydus canal usage, sunken/lurk whoring etc at the moment.. are all thanks to Savior.

Wasn't OOV one of the only people to repeatedly stop Savior in tournaments?
He did it twice? Or three times?
Social Justice is a fools errand. May all the adherents at its church be thwarted. Of all the religions I have come across, it is by far the most detestable.
