All of us probably cheer for a player, most likely some of the Korean stars. Most times it’s not because they’re “just” better than anyone else, but also because we learn more about their personalities. Be it a running nose during a televized set, people rushing to toilets in the middle of the games, the facial expression of a team after a Jaehoonesque recall or simply their memorable ceremonies on a beach. Tons of these stories are hidden somewhere on this site, and it takes a real good researched to dig out gems like the Progaming incidents collection of [BOyGiRl]ShaRp].
There’s so many odds and ends, which might have escaped our view, especially if you still only focused on Brood War. Some of you may have heard of the Star 'Hangshow' hosted by OGN which discusses various topics centered around StarCraft 2 and professional gaming. Now if you do not know Korean, that is no issue, because fortunately the whole season has been subtitled. The main topic is mostly StarCraft 2. But partly due to the fact that the majority of the attendees were deeply involved with Brood War for a long time, in some episodes you can enjoy various background stories from the old days, like the life in the progamer houses or memorable stories/games from the likes of Stork, TheMarine and GoRush. So if you do not have a deep aversion for mixture of Brood War and StarCraft 2, you should check it out.
