[Photo Report] SSL9 Opening Day

After attending the group selection ceremony,
I embraced the excitement
and faced the long road again.

As I found out, the way from work to the studio is way too long..
Upon arriving I was exhausted... ㅠㅠ..

As you know, the league is now called FIX Starleague~
Can you believe it's sponsored by the FIX Earphones (http://www.fix.co.kr)
and the HumanWorks company (http://humanworks.com)?
Pleasant news have arrived huh ^^.

As for the opening round,
the players Killer, Mong, Britney, Zero
and even the stargirl Ha-Kyeong,
everyone was there.

Truthfully, tonight I came in order to appreciate Mong's powerful terran play ^^.
Is today the result of him studying and analysing Killer's play all night long? ^^;
Finishing the final match with a 2:1 victory and advancing to the Round of 16!
Congratulations~!




As a arrived, there were only 2 cameras.
Could it be that the funds are scarce
due to the delayed sponsorship??




The atmosphere was not bad though ^^..

It was a bit cramped but..
considering the starleague is run individually,
it's a really big place.

The second moment I feel Sonic's awesomeness..




Both players looked tired.
They must have practiced hard for this day.




Advancing to the final round, but eventually falling... Killer..
Showing a performance that made us feel the force of the winner. He really was the best.

A good point for today were the individual screens.
I liked each player's FPV available besides the main screen.




But one's player FPV couldn't be seen at all..ㅠㅠ;;



T/N: yellow sign: 역시봉준 is the same as Bisu's 역시택신/ㅇㅅㅌㅅ = an exclamation along the lines of: "This is the Britney we know, after all!" So for Bisu they'd scand it when he wins a game. For Britney.. the opposite maybe?
blue sign: "Britney keep your eyes open! (Don't fall asleep!)"

It's Zero and Britney.
There were a lot of people who came to support Britney today ^^;;

Lastly, I captured one player's doors as they were opening a little.
I thought the sound could transit through so I went to ask the officials
but they said it's alright with the double doors silencing.

Uhmm, the day a lot of things went wrong I think.
One player's FPV didn't work..
The passageway was cramped..
It's too far away (for me)..
I wanted to see the game being played but..
other people's heads blocked the view.
Seeing the players was difficult as well.

It would've been good to raise the platform a little
so we could see the players.

Also I payed a visit but couldn't receive the bonus goods;;
They said they'd give away quickviews .. ㅠㅠ;;

but only people sitting in the seats got one??

Also, I should've gone get a wide-angle lens..
I couldn't capture the entire view so
I'm also a little disappointed personally.
