So after I win / lose, and go to score screen, the game crashes - why? XLauncher should be discussed in the XLauncher topic in the iCCup forums, this is different. Try double clicking on iccup.ini in your iCCup Launcher folder and under [StarCraft: Brood War], look for the line that starts with MainExe and at the end of that line, remove "ddemulate" Also, do you mind telling me what OS you're on? Windows 7 removed "ddemulate" from iccup.ini, still crashes. Does it crash even when you don't use XLauncher? It crashes no matter what now. With both icc launcher and xlauncher. Error message: (this is what pops up when I play a game, after I quit the game) StarCraft has stopped working. --> Send report --> Close program It even crashes when you directly run Starcraft as administrator? Try deleting these keys in your registry(however i highly doubt they're the source of the problem): If your computer is 64-bit: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\DirectDraw\Compatibility\StarCraft116 Flags ID Name If your computer is 32-bit HKLM\Software\Microsoft\DirectDraw\Compatibility\StarCraft116 Flags ID Name

Deleted both, doesn't work. Also ran as admin, doesn't work either.

Then XLauncher probably isn't the problem because the only other things XLauncher does is set the Game Data Port, create a firewall rule, open port via upnp, temporarily disables aero effects, updates your server list, and deletes bncache.dat Maybe you can check if your InstallPath is correct: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Starcraft InstallPath
|
Correct me if I'm wrong but if this uses Upnp you need to have it activated on your router -which isn't always the default setting-

EDIT: Fixed by uninstalling / reinstalling ICCUP launcher. It wasn't BW's fault - because I tried to run it with just BW and it was fine. Thanks for the help.

this doesn't work unless you have static ip right?

Of course it won't make starcraft crash, you will just not be able to host games

This is extremely helpful to the masses of computer newbs. Example: Harem

In the command prompt, do you see a line that says something like Opened port 6112 via UPNP? yeah, it also says firewall exception created i'm using wifi tho so i dont know if that makes a difference i can host when i port forward myself but when i tried just using the plugin no one was joining my games
I fixed the problem by changing the network port in chaoslauncher's setting tab to 6113 and then the plugin forwarded to 6113 instead. I guess it didnt work because i had another ip address set to 6112 on my router since I play starcraft on that computer too.

ill try this and report
edit: works great! so easy! damn why didnt someone do this earlier?! thanks m8!

can you help me get this working with iccup anti hack launcher? I put all the forwarder stuff in the iccup folder but to no avail. the command prompt wont come up. this works when i use only chaos launcher but with iccup i am a bit lost. thanks!
|
This plugin is only for chaoslauncher however you can enable both this plugin and iccup's antihack by enabling iccup at the bottom of chaoslauncher.

I just wanted to say thanks to xbox209 for the time and effort in making this plugin and sharing it. I've started playing on ICCUP with Xlauncher and I am really enjoying the easy online access thats been the only barrier to me playing this game more
