Hello, Teamliquid BW fans! Today, I'm here to tell you that you guys have a chance to ask a question to ToSsGirL!
Why?
I've been performing military duties and will be discharged next May. And since organizing the showmatch between Sziky and Pusan, I've been preparing for an important exam next July. I couldn't play BW or organinze tours/events because of studying and working. I only could watch two OSL semifinals during lunch time and at the first match of semifinal, I saw Kim Tae Hyung had wept at the last BW OSL. Having watched that, I felt I was losing something HUGE in my heart. So I decided to do something awesome. (For me this is awesome, so don't make me wrong T_T)
Awesome what?
As you know, ToSsGirL started a new career as a shopping mall CEO. I know it's been only 3 months since she started it but I couldn't resist myself sending an email to her. I asked her if she could participate in an event which I organize(same format of "ICCup ATTACK").
(KOREANS!!!! ) Sadly she rejected. She said she's busy running the site, didn't played BW for few months, and didn’t want to show fans her newb skill.
So I asked her if I(and foreign BW fans) could ask questions of her. She said she would delightfully answer them. I'm going to translate to Korean what you want to ask so that she can understand.
Format: Nickname/Nationality/City Q. Messages Here
For example: hyeon/S.Korean/Sangju Q. Who do you think is the most handsome among KeSPA Progamer?
Here's what I suggest you to ask: (1) What's your body size? (<- maybe too personal, i don't know if she's going to answer:p) (2) Why didn't you transit to SC2? (3) Etc.
Will only be open till 8th, August so don't hesitate to ask question!
Speical Thanks to Wesley Palladini for fixing grammar & NinaZerg!
Wow. If this is true then... blubbdavid/Switzerland/Gossau Q. Fried or sauced chicken?
oh, and I suggest you ask these question in several sections (parts), like in the medic date interviews. Would be awful to answer questions about chickens after SC2.
pinball/American/Chicago Q: What do you see yourself doing in the distant future and what do you see other pros such as flash doing in the future as well?
For clarification, I was hoping for when their programming days are over.
Q: Why did you choose to become a starcraft pro gamer ? Q: How is the transition from being a progamer to become a ceo of a shopping mall working out for you was it tough in the beginning ? Q: Will we be seeing you acting in a movie or drama soon ? Because you are really pretty ... Q: Which part of the world would you like to go travelling to if you were given a chance to choose your holiday destination ? Q: What is your favourite food ?

Q: Was there ever any sexual tension between you and Reach?
I like this question: Mantoss x Tossgirl
Ciryandor/Filipino/Manila What is your opinion on your country's education system? Does it provide enough options for those who aspire to be pro-gamers but fall before they can reach at least practice player/B-Team level?
Q: Do you regret spending so much of your life in progaming, having never been truly successful in it? Q: What in your opinion keeps women out of progaming? Is it their attitude, social expectations of them, etc? What was different about you that got you into progaming, and what prevented you from doing better after progaming for so long? Q: Why did you retire from progaming altogether instead of moving to League of Legends or Starcraft2? Q: Why in your opinion is League of Legends so popular relative to Starcraft2? Q: What were your favourite and least favourite maps across all of Broodwar? Q: Do you think the ruling on the power-failure match between Flash and Jaedong was correct? Q: At the peak of your skill or competitive drive, what was your practice schedule? Q: In a game where every extra second spent practicing could make the difference between succeeding and failing, how did you or do progamers in general balance the game, their health, and their lives? Q: What is your favourite televised game of all time (of any progamer)?
Maybe I'll think of more later. Thanks for doing this!
Q : since you stopped playing BW, are not playing SC2, and stopped the medic dates interviews, is there any chance to see you involved in anything related to e-sports in the future ?
Question from one of your biggest fans; I hope you remember me : + Show Spoiler +

PS. is that her e-mail adress right there, the temptation o_O
Go send an email.
One guy copied the original Nada's Body thread and posted it on Nada's mall. Nada replied :D
Try that with TossGirl
Just for you I changed that post to fit TossGirl
"So i heard that your work out and have a pretty good body. I think I saw your picture on here but i cant find it. I tried googling image "TossGirl';s body" but i couldn't find it. I want to see pictures of your nice body, do you have them?"
Q: This question is about women's leagues and team games moreso than individual RTS games like Starcraft.
OGN has been running a successful women's "Sudden Attack Champions League" in tandem with male sudden attack leagues for a little while now; some teams sponsor both female and male squads such as SJ-Gaming. However, the leagues are separated and run independently (the Nestea Champions League (네스티 챔피언스리그) being female, and the Nexon Champions League (넥슨 챔피언스리그 ) being male.)
The early days of bw had female only leagues that you dominated, and you were one of the only female gamers to be able to stick with the men after those leagues were not continued. Do you think esports--in particular 5v5 team games like the FPS Sudden Attack or MOBA game LoL--will continue the model of having separate female leagues and male leagues, or will it change to a model of having female teams and male teams compete against each other, or will we see teams of 5 where females and males are mixed together (where maybe 3 members are female and 2 members are male)?
Do you think it is easier for female gamers to get into professional competitive gaming or high level competitive amateur play if they play on female only teams (such as 5 members of a Sudden Attack team being all female), regardless whether they compete against only females or against all male teams, than try to "make it on your own" by joining male teams as you did on STX as a professional or your play in the By. clan?
Do you female gamer attitudes do change whether it's a team game or an individual game such as Starcraft BW, in terms of how female gamers can get into competitive or professional play?
On a similar but much lighter note, do you think there will be a time when male kpop performances are done at esport events/advertising, especially if there are separate women league finals? Many kpop girl groups have performed at esport events, such as SNSD and IU for starcraft proleague finals and Wonder Girls/Secret at OSL/MSLs, but for example at the Sudden Attack women and men's award ceremony after the respective finals, the girl group DAL SHABET (달샤벳) performed. Miss A's Suzy is currently in advertisements for the Sudden Attack League, and other girl idols have even hosted shows such as MSL break.
The foreign starcraft community will always love you tossgirl <3.
*note--not part of the question* I don't actually follow special forces lol, and this is based on research from the youtube vods uploaded and such and ogn's site. I can't read korean and I don't see any type of sudden attack community I can easily read. The ogn site for special forces is here with the nestea and nexon league links: http://www.tooniland.com/ongame/leagueMain.tl?leagueId=sudden2012
so it'd be cool if someone confirmed this information. But there are a bunch of vods uploaded on youtube by some guy, as well as vod pages if you follow ogn links (but may need like korean ip to watch vods or something). But I'm pretty sure they are separate leagues, and the vods on youtube definitively are girl's finals and men's finals.
I do want to ask mainly about whether female gamers are more attracted to playing in female only teams and if that would boost their involvement in competitive esports, rather than try to join male clans and the like.
X10A/Canada/Edmonton Q.What was your skill level within STX, where did you range between the rest of the players? Q.Will you ever be involved with eSports in the future? Edit:omg i'm an archon <3
Q: What is your favorite eSports memory and why is it so special to you? Q: Could you please use any contacts you have with BW people to let them know they have many many foreign fans that want to interact with them, and that they should copy Violet and do an AMA on Teamliquid (or Reddit). English skill is NO barrier, we desire to communicate too much to get caught up in language, and we have many people who can translate Korean. Q: Top 5 favorite maps? Q: Top 3 most under-rated/under-appreciated progamers? Q: Who have you learnt the most about BW from? Q: What is your favorite aspect of playing the game? Q: If you could add some things/change some things in BW, what would they be and why? Q: Have you ever considered casting eSports professionally?
Wow, thank you very much for doing this. I expect there to be more than 100 questions posted pretty quick, and they're likely to overlap, so its a major undertaking but would certainly be worth it to categorize them and select the best of the best. (: (: (: soo coool
You have many foreign fans, are you a fan of any foreigns? (i.e famous foreign people that you want to go see in concert/movie star, etc) and how do you think you would react if you met them?
HaXXspetten/Sweden/Stockholm Q. Did you ever consider becoming a coach for a progaming team after you retired from BW? If so, for which game, and why did you decide not to?
Q: What are you feelings about MOBA (LoL/HoN/DoTA) compared to RTS from a player and observer point of view (Do you find it funner to play/do you find it funner to watch)?

Q: Does size matter (^_~)?
Are you really saying that you have lurked for 9 years, and now you finally make an account so that you can ask tossgirl if she likes big dicks?
... *sigh*
ok fine how about this:
Q: On an OGN TV show Jongmi said that one time she woke up in the middle of night and found a porno on one of the players computers. Have you ever experienced anything funny/disturbing like that when you were in the STX house? (I know she had her own room for a while)
Q: Were the rumors about Xellos being the DDR terran a big deal in Korea/the progaming teams or was it only the foreign scene who fixated on it?
Q: How did you tell your parents that you wanted to be a progamer and how did they react? Q: What was you pre-progaming life like?(How did school go,friends, her hobbies, thoughts etc) Q:Why didn't you play many TV matches? Skill gap or other reasons?

actually my questions (other than the michael phelps one) were based on the stories told by Rekrul about Tossgirl...
Tru_m4n/swedish/Taipei Q: You were rarely seen playing in Pro league or the individual leagues, so I would like to ask what your playing style is like, and if this reflects your personality in any way? Q: What do you think led to the decline of BW that we have seen over the last few years? I'm thinking about the death of some teams and the MSL. Q: Are there any current (non-STX Soul) BW progamers that you are close to? Share some secrets about them!
Selth/US/San Jose Q: Were you aware of how large the foreign fan base for BW was? If so, do you think you could've done anything to help reach out to it?
Q. What do you think was the secret behind why you became so gosu at SCBW compared to other girls and compared to guys who never became progamers? Was it just hard work, or did you have some special habit that you think helped you improve to the next level?
Q. Which progamer (STX or other team) did you historically struggle the most against in practice games? And what was it that made him so hard to beat?
Kyrillion/Russia Q : Is it true that you promised Fantasy to marry him should he win the last OSL ?
Q: How did you tell your parents that you wanted to be a progamer and how did they react?
You can have a basic answer on liquipedia :
At 16, after seeing BoxeR play on TV, she decided that she wanted to become a progamer. When she told her dad, he said he wished he had never introduced her to StarCraft. Undeterred, she continued to play and would sneak out at night to play in local tournaments around Seoul.

Come on, if you want to troll, at least ask a decent question. Like, if she's a virgin, which I'm sure everyone craves to know although they don't dare to ask. I highly doubt she'd had a vast number of partners in any case, with her progamer lifestyle.
lichter/Chinese/-- Q. Do you think you will some day sell men's items in your shopping mall? I am sure a lot of your male fans want to support you, but don't want to buy themselves dresses ^_^
since I played with you (tossgirl) back in the begining of 2003 on Lost Temple and remember the game and my thoughts somehow good enough. My aka on west was eSu.TechnicS and before the game I thought it was some boy pretending to be a girl, that played protoss, so i was very surprised to see 'him' playing terran. ^_^ I spawned at 12 o'clock (back then it wasn't a very comfortable spot for zergs) and she at 9 o'clock and later won me with mnm force redropped with a timing dropship just before mutas popped out. salsal gg. gogo re?^^

Question: 1. Does Tossgirl know she has a lot of foreign fans?
2. Also I like the question on why Tossgirl didn't transition into SC2 (why did she retire instead of continuing on).
3. If she tried SC2, did she enjoy playing it or no?
4. If she does enjoy playing it, has she thought about coming back into SC2? Or actually, coming back into anything related to eSports in general?
1. What is your favorite animal? 2. What sports do you follow, and do you have any favorite athletes? 3. If you could give a speech to any group of people in the entire world, what would you say?

This is what I was really hoping for, more of this, and not that lame-ass politically-correct "So, how do you feel about your solo win over Flash, considering how far he has been in progaming?" nonsense.
EMPaThy/New Zealand/Chinese Q: what do you think about the level of foreigners in general at brood war? Q: what do you think about the future of brood war, will it still be played by the next generation of kids? Q: do you play any other games for fun? Q: what do you think about the legend of tossgirl, where progamers who lose to you retire?
Q: There are a lot of players who are really good in practice but can't seem to realize their potential in televised games. How were you doing in practice games around from 7 years ago to up until you retired? Q: What is your favorite strategy to do (as protoss, as terran and as zerg)? Q: What's your opinion about Star 1's future?
Ohhh, I hope she replies >.<. Oh and thank you noona Ji Soo.
Its been going around that LoL will become the next big E-sport now that sadly Brood War is gone, do you feel this is true or does Starcraft 2 have a chance? Do you think either of them will ever reach Brood War's level?
Q. Do you feel woman should sell themselves, not like a prostitute but their looks, in order to gain fans/sponsorships? Or just work hard and display true talent? Or both?
Q. Did you ever feel like you had to sell yourself?
Q. As you have been my role model since I started watching Starcraft, when was the moment or was there ever a moment, where you realized that there would be people looking up to you, striving to be at least a bit like you?
Q: Many amateurs bw gamers, I think mostly the most dedicated ones, hate fast money maps. Do you remember playing them when you were amateur? How did you felt about them, did you like them at all?
Do you remember Chinese player F91 and Super, they lose to you. F91 play SC2 now, they chose play SC2 to get a win, Can you talk about F91, Super, and your retire.

Does she even know who is rekrul in the first place ? . Feels kind of weird asking questions about things she doesn't pay attention to at all when you can ask about question like what does tossgirl think about nada's body.
ZaWarudo/Oakland 1. I wonder if it is possible through your connections to STX that you might be able to sell STX uniforms. There are plenty of fans especially foreigners who would love to have a STX jacket.

Well, obviously she's obsessed with it. There is not a plentiful of different reactions to Nada's body.
Q: What do you look for in an ideal man? Such as physical attributes (tall, dark, double eyelids, single eyelids) and personality attributes (like caring, romantic, spontaneous).
Q: Do you have a celebrity crush? We know IU has the hots for Taeyang.
Q: You're very pretty... but do you sing well? ㅋㅋㅋ
Q: We know that it was very difficult as virtually the only StarCraft female progamer and life must have been harder for you. Do you think you will miss the stressful progaming atmosphere?
Q: How has the Internet clothing store been doing? Do you enjoy doing it?
Q: Did you enjoy living in the STX house? Would you have preferred a different house? Who were you close with in STX?

Give Hyeon some breathing room. It takes a while to format a hundred questions, translate into Korean and then wait for the response and then translate her responses and all the questions back into English. Give him some time ^_^
Plus he's been busy being super nice and handling the middle-man business of shipping awesome SKT shirts to scrubs across the world without KSSNs like me.

ROFL. Well I hope you will still do it.
Bump again. Me too . Actually it's been a month already since the last reply? It really feels like September flew by for some reason because I really felt like a lot of stuff from August was just from yesterday or something (like Guild Wars 2 being released and the whole which game is better debates on the D3 and WoW [I don't play WoW but I like reading for fun sometimes] battle.net forums).
EDIT: Might be too late to ask already, but I'd really like to here the answers for that from a progamer.
You don't need to ask a progamer to get correct answers for your questions. I would probably ask one of the foreigners from the Gambit Cup. I needed help with hydra busts and Bakuryu sent me a PM with a detailed description about how to defend each variation and what to look for when scouting. I think he explained it a lot better than Tossgirl ever could (She was inactive for a long time and she also doesn't speak English very well (I assume))

No pressure Hyeon you have done great work! Not just with this but also getting people their SK Shirts. Your doing amazing work and thanks again for translating all the questions as well must be difficult. I know at least with my Chinese studying directly translating something can be difficult.
