It feels awkward to say that it’s his first time qualifying for OSL Ro16 when Bogus is an ace player for a team. Today, he finally solved one of his problems by qualifying for OSL for the first time in his life with two consecutive bunker rushes against Zergs while avoiding Stork, his biggest threat today.
Q: This is your first OSL qualification. How do you feel?
A: I was worried and burdened when preparing for the matches. I’m happy that I advanced with 2 wins after the fact that it was hard to prepare for today’s matches.
Q: What was the hardest/most tiring part of your practice?
A: I had to do a lot (smiles). It was hard because I had to prepare for Dual Tournament while also practicing StarCraft 2. I have to do well in both games.
Q: You probably did not expect two Zergs in a row.
A: I thought I would face Stork in the Winners match. To be honest, I wanted to face Protoss instead of Zerg on Neo Electric Circuit.
Q: You have rushed for both games.
A: I intended to do so and prepared for the matches. Bunker rushing works well when I meet Zergs. You have to work hard if you want to play with good strategies, right (smiles)? (T/N I hope I translated this part correctly. Can another native speaker check this line?)
Q: You are not playing well against Zergs
A: I thought my play after destroying the Hatchery was pretty bad. On televised matches, I don’t think it is easy to face Zergs.
Q: You’ve given up your ace spot for Last in Proleague this previous season. Didn’t you get upset?
A I have loosened my mindset this season, and it showed on the records. There was a reason why I played poorly this season, and I regretted it after the season was over. However, since I feel that I’ve earned and learned a lot through previous season, I think it is more important to focus on performing well in this upcoming season.
Q: Now you have the chance to win OSL with the title ‘Royal Roader’
A: Isn’t OSL title the ultimate goal for people who dreamed of becoming progamers? I tend to lose focus on individual leagues when preparing/playing for Proleague, and I think this is a great chance to break that habit. I really want to become a champion.

Samsung Electronic Khan’s Stork made history yet again in Starleague. With the record for most OSL appearance (17 times) along with 13 consecutive OSL appearances (along with Flash), Stork set a new record for most OSL appearances. In addition to his new record, Stork wants to become the player with most wins by not only achieving 100 wins this season, but also beating the previous record (108 wins by BoxeR).
Q: You have qualified for OSL 13 times in a row. How do you feel?
A: Personally I was burdened because fans thought that I should make it out of the group no matter what. Because there were two Zergs in my group, in addition to the maps that I hated and tried to avoid from Proleague. It was really hard (smiles). But as hard as it was, I feel happy.
Q: You’re sweeping the OSL records, including BoxeR and YellOw’s.
A: According to the data, I am on the same level of the legends. But if I think about it, I did lose to BoxeR and gave him his 100th win (smiles). In addition, I did dream about becoming a progamer while looking up to these players. In that perspective, I think BoxeR and YellOw achieved a lot more than I have.
Q: You’ve finished the games early today. Was it on purpose?
A: I was little greedy with the play today. When I saw the Group A and Group B matches of ODT last week, the players played worse than the regular Proleague season. Fans suspected that because of StarCraft 2 practice, but I only used the old strategies today to achieve 100 wins. Doesn’t this have a deep meaning behind it (smiles)? I used this strategy today because I felt disappointed by the fact that these old strategies are considered a gamble in the scene today.
Q: You were probably frustrated after your 1st match against hero.
A: I thought I was doomed. I prepared a 1 gate build for the first match but I switched to 2 gates after thinking that it was not a good strategy. But even with that, the game didn’t work out. With the worst build order and worst spawn location, I thought that I would not win the first set. I am just thankful that I won the last set because doing all-in builds as Protoss is unstable.
Q: You’re probably more eager to win OSL this season.
A: I’m more eager for the 100 wins, not the OSL title (smiles). I want to break my 7 game losing streak in OSL and achieve the 100 wins. If you win an OSL title, you get a picture on the wall but if you get 100 wins, you get a hand printing, and I prefer the hand printing (smiles). If I do it alone it might be embarrassing, so I hope other players step up and make the hand printing with me.
Q: It seems like you’re greedy for records/data.
A: I was always greedy for records/data. I wanted to break JulyZerg’s most OSL appearance record after hearing about it, and I wanted to keep it afterwards. I’m relieved that everything worked out.
Q: Except for two OSLs in 2006, you were in every OSL after your debut.
A: I feel sad because I really think that WoW caused my dropouts in those two OSLs. I could’ve had 19 consecutive OSL appearances if I made those 2 OSLs, so it’s natural to feel very disappointed about it (smiles).
Q: Any last words?
A: There are many debates on BW/SC2. We don’t have to hide it anymore, right (smiles)? Though it was tough preparing for the matches today, I only practiced BW for the whole week thinking about the fans who were going to visit me in the stadium. I also thank my teammates for helping me out for these matches, although it might have been tiring.
