While there have been plenty of situations with problems that do call for LAN, a truck driving into the internet is not one. They didn't consider that when they decided on no LAN. There have been numerous incidents that wouldn't have happened with LAN in the past 18 months, but random completely unpredictable major incidents like this shouldn't be ammo for anyone going "OMFG LAN" unless they're joking. This shit is once in a million. It's like arguing that I'm not protected against lightning strikes on my way to work, so I should invest in a faraday cage. But anyway, this was a great thing. The problem I have with broodwar is it's just so inaccessible to a casual watcher. I've watched a couple of sayle's casts and they're certainly pretty good, but they're aimed at pleasing the BW community as well as including newbies so they can't cover every little thing, whereas HD made lots of unit-unit comparisons and such. (Plus I never seem to be on TL when sayle's streaming) | ||
