It has been decided that the 8th team will be captained by protoss Kim Jaehoon.
Under the recommendation of Director Joo Hoon and Coach Han Sang Yong, Jaehoon has taken up the captaincy of the 8th team. As the oldest member of the team and an experienced player, Jaehoon was recommended based on his ability to lead his teammates of a similar age- Jaedong, Sea and Tyson, as well as embrace the younger players in the team. His teammates are said to welcome this decision.
No one has greater affection for the 8th team than Jaehoon. Although he emerged as one of the key players for MBCGame HERO in the 2010-2011 season, he did not manage to qualify for an FA (Free Agent) status because of earlier seasons' performances. In the coming season, Jaehoon again faces the challenge of attaining an FA status. Through the 8th team, he also seeks to carve out his 2nd life as a progamer.
Coach Joo said: "I listened to the players' opinions about Jaehoon and witnessed his ability to lead the players. I made this decision based on the hope that their captain will direct the 8th team as their role model".
"In harmony with my colleagues of a similar age, I will set an example for the younger players and lead the team", were Jaehoon's words after undertaking the captaincy.

What an epic journey of a career Jaehoon has experienced. From a ridiculed PvX enigma to to the captain for the frigging dream team, and he still has much potential left in his career. I, for one, will be cheering him on as he leads the dream team to victory.

Its funny how people forget everytime that Jaehoon had one of the best PL records of the last 2 rounds of PL, anyway looks good. I assume Jaehoon got it due to his veteran status too, team 8 hwaiting!.

It makes sense to captain Jaehoon since he's a good friend of Jaedong, and he can serve as a strong link between the teams.

When it comes to non-televised games, Jaehoon's very good. He knows his stuff as well as anyone. He sweats buckets in the booth and have lots of trouble dealing with pressure. But that doesn't take away from the fact that in a team setting, he can bring a lot to the table.
And we definitely need to see more Jaehoon's arbiter play. He's already recalled his army two spaces to the right. He's also recalled one single observer. He's already lots gazillion arbiters to turrets. He needs to invent more ways to fail recalls.

In the past, because of his lack of confidence, he tried things like dyeing his hair, ear studs, spectacles etc. He doesn't need those now.
