He doesn't think baseball, basketball, soccer etc are sports? Fair enough if he thinks that, but that's utter gibberish and entirely inaccurate for obvious reasons. This obsession people have with forcing starcraft down as a sport is truly bizarre. Whats wrong with it just being a game? | ||

Well more that I don't give a rat's ass about those sports really, but I do care about E-Sports and SC:BW; it's the 'sport' I'm into and passionate about, just like people are for the ones in the SS. I'm poking at the irony of how most people who would rely on those types of news reports wouldn't even call what I follow 'sports', but it sure is, and I'm gonna do all I can to support it. | ||

So even though I'm one of the guys that joined the wonderful STARCRAFT community during sc2's beta, I made a twitter account (there haveing been many worthy occasions to do so before, which I was able to resist) just to get our message out there to MBCGame. Sadly I haven't followed BW for over ten years (I'm 100% sure that if I had known about it, I would have) like many amongst us did, which makes it fairly hard for me to get into BW. It really is a different game from SC2 and trying to figure things out about it wihtough actually playing the game is kinda hard, so I don't have the same enthusiasm for BW as for its successor (not meaning that sc2 did or should in any way overtake BW!). But I'm enthusiastic about STARCRAFT and this is why I'm willing tweet MBC every hour if it's necessary. To me, and I'm not an expert on this, MBCGame and OnGameNet alike represent STARCRAFT in patricular and ESPORTS in general, and to see one of those icons would be heartbreaking. I might be (kind of) new here, but I'm in it with all my heart! And they are so much more, for me MBC also represents the hope that one day, in the not so distant future, I will be able to attend a live tournament with a decent prizepool and watchworthy players in my little country which (globally speaking) noone cares about. Maybe I will even be able to watch Starcraft on TV with my kids, who knows? But definately not if one of the only two working channels shuts down. I will tell everyone I know that has a relation to starcraft about this, we cannot let this happen. PS: I know SC2 in Korea is not taking off like everywhere else, but is it really a wise decision to shut down the network in a time like this, where esports is blowing up almost globally? I am not familiar with the intricacies of their situation of course, but it just doesn't seem like a good decision to me | ||

Retweeting only helps if they would follow you I think. I retweeted yours milkis, but I also tweeted myself twice. Just do both I'd say :D don't think the retweeted stuff will appear again in the hashtag search thing | ||
