- Thoughts on winning? ▲ Because I was losing going into today and was in a disadvantage, I emptied my mind. Now that I'm going through to the Ro4, I'm very happy.
- You had terrific Mutalisk micro today. ▲ My Mutalisk micro is always pretty good in practice. It's just that I always get nervous in live matches so I can't demonstrate my full skill. But as I said, after I emptied my mind, everything was a lot easier. I think all that showed in my control.
- You lost Game 1 before starting today's matches. ▲ I tried to think positively. Because I play a ZvZ in the semi-finals too, it's a secret as to how I prepared (laughs). I tried to think as winningly as possible.
- You made a good comeback. ▲ In Game 4, my scouting didn't go well and I lost the build order, so I tried to do something with my lings but it didn't work. After that it was too hard to win so I almost gave up, but I got a window of opportunity and thankfully, I took it. When the opponent brought muta-scourge, I felt that I could win.
- You seem to make comebacks often. ▲ As a player, I think it's better to always be in the lead. However, for the fans, I guess a comeback game would be more entertaining. From now on, I want to be ahead at all times.
- Did Soulkey help you a lot? ▲ I prepared about as much for these games as I did for the first match of this series (laughs). I thought about builds more than actual practice. Soulkey did help me, but he gave me a lot of advice rather than physically practicing with me. I played with Hydra a bit yesterday instead.
- You play Jaedong next. ▲ Because it's Jaedong, I think I can relax a little more knowing that the opponent is pretty good (laughs). Personally, I always wanted to play Jaedong. I'm excited to play, and I want to play as soon as possible.
- You've always lost to Zergs in the semi-finals, how are you going to overcome this? ▲ It's my third time in the semi-finals, and I've played a Zerg all three times. (T/N: Luxury in Lost Saga MSL, Great in PDPop MSL, Jaedong in ABCMart MSL (ninja edit thanks to Kyuukyuu <3) If there is a God, he must hate me (laughs). I think I have to overcome these things to win, so I am going to prepare well.
- Do you know that both your career ZvZ rate and MSL rate are at 50%? ▲ Really was known for always staying at a 50% win rate, and I think it's become worse after he moved to our team. Recently he's been complaining that his bed is uncomfortable and sleeping in my bed instead, and I think I got his energy when he did that. Of course, I don't sleep with him, and I run away to some other room (laughs).
- You're good friends with Calm, anything to say to him? ▲ After we agreed to play with empty minds, I felt bad watching him being unable to leave after he lost. Although I had fun, I don't think Calm felt quite the same way, but I know that we will stay close even after this.
- Final words? ▲ Thank you to everyone that helped me. My teammates didn't help much, so I can't say thanks to them (laughs). I'll try to show good games in the semis as well, so I want everyone to look out for me.
Flash, "My immediate goal is to win the semifinals" "I am thankful to Fantasy hyung who contacted me first to help me practice, as well as my teammates"
- Your thoughts on winning? ▲ Firstly, I’m just really glad I’m in the semis now. Dropping out disappointingly last season was always on my mind, but this season now that I’m in the semis I’ll make sure to work even harder so that I can get to the finals as well.
- Was there a particular strategy you prepared for today? ▲ There wasn’t. I did feel that my vulture/tank control was weakening so I made sure to focus on that during practice. I was confident in my macro game so I didn’t really come up with another strategy.
- You started the game with a disadvantage in the 2nd set. ▲ I think getting through with my first vulture was the biggest reason for my win. Breaking through his defensive line I was able to safely secure a macro game.
- We’re curious as to why you chose to go wraiths so late. ▲ It was the result of the practice I had. Though it is usually more natural to switch to wraiths earlier, because I had another expansion, in order to capitalize on that advantage I chose to go wraiths later. I didn’t want to lose that advantage so I kept pulling out goliaths and tanks.
- You must be disappointed about the set you lost. ▲ Because I was still thinking about the set on La Mancha, I decided to go starport. Leta hyung was able to prepare an effective counter to that. I lost in a close mind game.
- Did you originally prepare wraiths for your last set? ▲ I came today prepared to go wraiths in the last set. I think the game played out as well as it did because I was able to discover Leta hyung’s attack route early on.
- This year your win rate against zerg is 70%, and now your potential opponents are all zerg. ▲ I didn’t know it had reached 70% (laughs). I’m satisfied with that statistic. I think it’ll be difficult to show the same level of performance I had last year. I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to show that same level of results in the rest of my progaming career (laughs). I just hope I can keep playing at the same pace as I did last year. Also, though I haven’t practiced tvz that much yet, I’ll make sure to come up with some special builds through practice here on out.
- The semifinal matches have 3 zerg and 1 terran – are you happy with that? ▲ Because there are only zerg matches left there is the offset that my strategies will be more easily revealed but it will also be easier to practice for. I think it will come down to the best player winning, regardless of race.
- Who do you want to meet in the finals? ▲ Though Jaedong is someone I’ve played many times before, I feel like it will be exciting to play him again. ZerO is also really good against terran so it would be nice to play against him as well. I heard he mentioned in an interview that he would like to play me so I think it should be an interesting game if we do play each other. However, I think the fans will want another ‘Leessangrok’ match (laughs).
- Is your ultimate goal to get the golden badge? ▲ The other players are all really good. I’m not going to be as greedy as to think about the golden badge just yet. As of now my immediate goal is to win the upcoming semifinals against Hydra.
- Is there any thoughts you have on the remaining time of this season? ▲ Last season I think I got too complacent and as a result, dropped out early on, and because of that I had a really hard time (laughs). This season I think I’ll have to have an especially focused mindset and fervor, and I think I am doing just that. As I’m playing tough opponents I can feel my competitive spirit rising so it’s been very fun and enjoyable.
- We’re close to the end of the league now. Are you having any physical issues? ▲ This season, in terms of physical condition I’m satisfied. Recently I increased my practice schedule by a LOT but seeing as how there haven’t been any noticeable side effects I guess I did a good job in keeping in good shape. My wrist does still hurt when I play but I’m regularly going to the acupuncturist and getting painkiller shots. Once the seasons over I’ll get proper treatment for it.
- Last words you want to say? ▲Despite the fact that it was a resting day, BarrackS hyung and Suny hyung both helped me a lot so I want to say thank you to them. Most of all, I was so surprised and touched when Fantasy contacted me first and told me he’d help me. He told me to contact him if I wanted to practice so I was able to practice with him, and I want to tell him how thankful I am. I told everyone I’d buy a meal if I won, so I’ll have to buy my teammates and Fantasy hyung a meal now.
- Do you know that both your career ZvZ rate and MSL rate are at 50%? ▲ Really was known for always staying at a 50% win rate, and I think it's become worse after he moved to our team. That Hydra. Always plotting various nefarious schemes to take down TBLS. Helping out Zero with his ZvZ now so that he can focus on practicing his ZvT against Flash.

Zero realizes what he just said and is quick with a white lie attempt to dismiss what's on everyones mind.
Of course, I don't sleep with him, and I run away to some other room (laughs).
Objective: Failed. Images of Zero cuddling it up with Really are wreaking havoc in my mind.
Edit:
Personally, I always wanted to play Jaedong the Dong. I'm excited to play, and I want to play as soon as possible.
He wants to play the Dong and he just can't wait, can he? I see it all so clearly now. There's no hiding it. ZERO YOU LIL FRUITCAKE!

PS: Apparently Zero really gets off on Really sleeping in his stained sheets. Malicious pleasure or simply disgusting? Either way, I'm S p e e c h l e s s.

ROFL!
Thanks for the translation! Can't wait to read Flash's.
<3 Zero, I honestly didn't expect him to make it passed Calm. As interesting as it would be to see Zero make it to the finals, I think he'll have trouble besting JD in a boX

Flash's wrist still hurts when he plays? Man, Flash you better make it through the season without damaging it seriously and get it properly healed D:
Also, not surprised he doubts he can repeat last years craziness. I doubt Flash's performance last year will ever be repeated again in the history of BW.

Flash and Fantasy have been long friends. They are from the same clan.

You completely ignored the first part of my post. Also, did I say that it's a possibility? Did I sound it's a certainty that Fantasy had selfish motive? I'm sorry, the disappointing thing here is your own mindset I think.
I think Fantasy is the best person fot TvT practices. They both don't mind to help each other, which is good to see. Flash helped Fanta too in his previous OSL gold run, when Fanta asked Flash to not help Stork =)

That's lame dude. At least be responsible for what you say. It's one thing to be wrong, it's quite a whole new level of lame to be wrong and not admit it. You raised that possibility without any proof. NONE. You didn't even consider that they practice all the time and they are clanmates. You're on the wrong here, sorry. Admit it and it's over.

Uhm no, that's what you think. I on the other hand, dont think so. You said it's "wrong", can you prove it? By what standard did you come to the conclusion that it's wrong? Now if you wanna go into details, how about considering an example: Flash and Hydra are about to play a game. There's a possibility that Flash will 14CC. Yep it's a possibility... Do you have any kind of "proof" - as you said - to prove that he will 14CC? No you don't. And in this case it's almost exactly the same. It's entirely up to what Fanta thought in his mind. But of course it's possible. And that's why it's called possibility. If I said that "Fanta definitely/most certainly did that..." then it is true that I was spitting out nonsense BS without any evidence to back it up. Stating that I "raised that possibility without any proof" is a really dumb statement.
But, most importantly, I can't believe there's some guys who would scrutinize that statement so much. I meant to joke around when saying "even though it's possible that he took this chance to get more familiar with Flash's play". I originally just wanted to post the first part, but then I thought maybe adding something to tease Fanta (I knew about their friendship). It's all for the fun. Jeez. I think you are just stirring things up in such an unnecessary way.

I don't really see what's wrong with his post lol. Fantasy probably wanted to play with Flash because he is good and he wanted to learn from him. That's not bad by fantasy - even though it is less good than it would be if he did it only because he is friends with Flash.

You're not supposed to have proof for an hypothetical (yes, a possibility is hypothetical). It's sad that people are getting so pissed off over a tiny off-hand comment. People on this forum take every little statement way too seriously.
Thank you, Elroi and Tabula rasa, for being objective.
I don't know what went wrong with guys like that. They keep being so irritating throughout their time here on TL. Worse, when they do so they just bring out nonsense or biased stuff, without any regard to whether it's true or not. Sigh. I often laugh when thinking about Chill's complaints on how hard it is to moderate the forum. Not anymore.
So happy ZerO made it past Calm to the ro4 again. It's going to take his top top game though to take out Jaedong, and even with that his chances are slim ;_; . Having to face so many zergs this MSL must have been really frustrating for him.

I completely understand the initial reaction. Don't forget, It is you who brought up the "accusation" first, no matter how arbitrary or jokingly you intended it to be. It was uncalled for, especially to people who know that Fantasy and Flash do practice together. No. having other people agree with you does not make you right. And name dropping Chill is even a worse argument. Just edit it out I guess.
That's the thing. It wasn't an accusation, and people are irrationally interpreting it as such.
Let me ask you this: Why did Fantasy help Flash?
Could it be that Fantasy was trying to be a nice person? Perhaps Fantasy wanted to see his friend succeed? Maybe he wanted to pay Flash back for not practicing with Stork in the last OSL? Or maybe Fantasy wanted to become better friends with Flash. Or maybe Fantasy was just feeling lonely on a Friday night and wanted to be with someone. Oh, shit! I just accused Fantasy of being lonely! Is it possible that Bisu enjoys eating blueberry pancakes for breakfast? Oh, shit! I just accused Bisu of eating blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Dammit! Do you think Jaedong might like SNSD? Oh, shit! I just accused Jaedong of liking SNSD!
Poor alypse, getting bothered by some crazy people
Anway, I just hope Flash smashes Hydra in the next round, with a brutal 3-0 beatdown. And Jaedong>Zero and then a fight for the golden Badge, oh yeah. That's what I wanna see.

That's pretty normal, don't mind them. First, they get pissed off because the player they hate just won. Then they go to the interview thread desperately looking for some things he said to twist them and make him look bad. Then they find nothing, get frustrated and try to pick fight with other users, preferably with the fans of the said player.
Like football hooligans, really lol. Ignore them if you are in hurry, respond if you have time for a laugh or two. Definitely don't try to argue, it leads nowhere.

Whats sad is that when I read I thought it was a joke.
Now I know he is serious, wtf.
Also agree with Blind-rawr, its sickening that people do negative generalizations for a player, wether it is Flash or Bisu.

WTF dude you're accusing Fantasy of being a bad practice partner with no evidence whatsoever. That's really disrespectful especially coming from an SKT fan, you should be ashamed. I can't believe you would level an accusation like that.

There is nothing respectful about generalizing a large group of people over one comment, especially a generalization that interprets a comment that starts with "I have a new found respect for Fantasy" as discrediting Fantasy.
That Hydra. Always plotting various nefarious schemes to take down TBLS. Helping out Zero with his ZvZ now so that he can focus on practicing his ZvT against Flash.
I think both Flash-Jaedong or Zero-Flash would be a great final. Zero and Flash had some amazing games and Zero came pretty close to beating Flash in the 2009 Ever OSL, when Flash was at the top of his game.
I don't particularly want a Golden Badge winner. I hope Zero>Hydra in the finals, though it's almost certainly not going to happen. We'll see what happens though I guess.
I'm torn... on the one hand I don't want another ZvZ final. On the other, I hope Hydra displays great ZvT and beats Flash; doing so will establish him on the level of TBLS and perhaps usher in a new era.
Last words you want to say? ▲Despite the fact that it was a resting day, BarrackS hyung and Suny hyung both helped me a lot so I want to say thank you to them. Most of all, I was so surprised and touched when Fantasy contacted me first and told me he’d help me. He told me to contact him if I wanted to practice so I was able to practice with him, and I want to tell him how thankful I am. I told everyone I’d buy a meal if I won, so I’ll have to buy my teammates and Fantasy hyung a meal now.

I was with you up until I realised that it would be a ZvZ final... The last one was bad enough!

You would rather have an awful ZvZ finals than see Flash or Jaedong win? Just root for Zero vs Flash and for Zero to win so we don't get a boring zvz finals AGAIN.
Wow...you have Flash, master of TvT practice with fantasy (highest rated terran other than him)...........I guess fantasy really wanted to learn from flash...I wonder what the practice win rate statistics was in their practice.
//i really hate fantasy, but i must admit he is sometimes good
Flash is so epic, he thanks fantasy for practice...but wait fantasy is losing EVERY TVT... Practice with God Young Ho and forget how to win, it all makes sense now.
On another note; zero lets Really use his bed then quickly realizes it's a homo-moment so he says "of course I dont sleep WITH HIM /runs away" lmao it would be hilarious to see an in-house STARS video of what goes down in this place.
hmm i think fantasy wants to actually practice with flash more than the other way around lol fantasy lost to got dominated in the last game vs skyhigh, lost to light, and is 1-2 vs sea recently
and it will be a pretty good semi and finals(if flash wins the next one) since most people enjoy watching tvz and the 3 zergs are all top tier

Sounds to me like he just doesn't want another person tying Bisu in MSL golds and getting a golden badge. Then he won't have any arguments for Bisu being better than Flash and JD in any competition.

I actually read the reaction to what you wrote a few seconds after they were posted. Was thinking of responding, but just decided that it was some miscommunication. Of course it didn't help that they were pretty "violent" reactions.
On Topic:
Flash can now concentrate on his recently "weakest" matchup. Hurrah! Wanna see some beautiful bio play into mech switch. Especially now that Zergs are doing pretty well against Terrans.

Hehe - well personally I'm sad that Nada won't be alone on the top

edit: I mean NATE MSL
Agreed, because of the (usually) macro style of both guys it would make for an epic ro5 finals. Compared to jaedong who has been more about midgame aggression recently.
I feel torn right now. Rooting for Hydra, because he is like the troll of pro BW, taking out JD ZvZ and making group D an all, but a ZvZ final would be the worst thing since the last ZvZ final.

Well for me, that would be a well deserved win if he is able to do that. Beating Stork, Flash, and Jaedong is a big accomplishment on the way to get a gold.
I get the feeling zero thought "hmm, this interview is too standard, better go make it awkward!"
I definitely like zero the most out of the four, but I'm a bit hesitant rooting for him, because I fear that flash will just 3-0 him in an uninteresting finals. Well, I'm sure I want flash beat hydra to avoid the zvz, then I want him to lose in the finals regardless of whether zero or JD wins.

And played a major role in Bisu getting eliminated by making him play Flash

- You play Jaedong next. ▲ Because it's Jaedong, I think I can relax a little more knowing that the opponent is pretty good (laughs). Personally, I always wanted to play Jaedong. I'm excited to play, and I want to play as soon as possible.
Relax when playing Jaedong? Such a baller. Zero is out for blood and hopefully he can prove his skill by taking the gold.

No, lol. He said he can relax a little more because Jaedong is better and he(Zero) is the huge underdog. So no pressure on him.

Nice try, Hiya! Zero is through playing nice. He's calling JD out and bringing his death stare on thursday

ZerO has a death stare? I didn't know that. I thought he only switched between pouting, cute look, and troll-look.

Yeah, an MSL run that impressive would cement him as the next #1 Zerg to be honest
