Hope that they're not getting sold at all and we're all just reading too much into great's entry. ><;; I don't think Stars will actually play Light in every match. Light is probably 3rd choice now behind Zero and Free. + Show Spoiler +I'm convinced the Woongjin coach just bought Light to: 1.Deprive MBC of their zerg killer (Stars is basically a zerg team and Sea's TvZ is shaky right now) 2.He's still haunted by the thought of having passed on Light when he was an amateur (and then Light beats Free to knock Stars out of the play-offs) 3.Woongjin have money to throw around from the sale of Kwanro. Unless Yellow was playing an early April Fool's joke on everyone, someone from Khan is probably going to KT. For the sake of BW, I hope it's not Stork. Light is the highest ELO guy on Woongjin. Hard to imagine him not being a workhorse every match once he becomes adapted. And on the same note, that is why Stork is so critical for Khan. They dont have any other 2150+ level guy who could pull solid kill streaks every match, so theyre looking to be very bland as a fan to cheer to.

It's Jangbi... Maybe this change helps him.
He is my favorite toss ever and he needs something to comeback. PLS NO STORKI =(

So from Yellows entry they are definitely getting a player from Khan? This is pissing me off a lot. KT is TOP and already has an extremely strong team. Why fuck up a team that isn't in competition with them by taking a player? I think there should be a transfer window or something to stop this. It will completely unbalance proleague not to mention stop another player from getting good playtime on KT. Maybe Stats wouldn't even be as good as he is now if there was already a strong toss on the team.
Sigh. This isn't big news to me at all, it's just bad news and i'm not even a Khan fan. But in the interests of competitiveness i hate this. I don't see how anyone can be happy about this unless they are a total KT fanboy and don't have anything else in mind. I'd love to see FOX/MBC/Khan improve not slowly get picked apart because of money, it's sad for proleague as a whole.

I reaaaaaaaaally hope it's not Stork/Jangbi. Always been a fan of homegrown talent... and not bought players =\
|
Stork to KT would be so weird... doesn't feel like a part of the family. Guess it's pretty awesome for us if true though...
Would much rather have Violet back.
|
I'd feel kind of guilty as a KT fan if Stork joined KT, and pretty worried as a BW fan.
TBLS all on different teams is better for proleague.

So if Stork and Jangbi leave Samsung Khan for KT.......Whats going to happen with Samsung itself? They aren't doing that hot nevermind the fact that they are selling of their best player together with another solid Protoss. Indeed if this looks like this then we might see the teamleagues being more onesided.

I have a hard time understanding how you find WJ bland considering the great personality on the team and the fact that zero soulkey free light and really all are some extremely entertaining players to watch (and they are finally doing well again)

Don't really want to see Stork/Jangbi move to KT personally. If anything KT needs another terran, and maybe another zerg. Besides, without Stork Khan won't stay afloat too long.

Gosh, nobody complained like this when skt bought bisu, july or hyuk. KT is short a protoss after Violet became ill. This is a very logical choice to keep the team strong. Stats is strong right now but how long will he be in form? Also, I don't think it will be stork who goes.

Man... adding more depth to KT is scary... very very scary...

As a Khan fan I am not liking the direction this thread has taken... please don't gut the team

Because KT is clearly top easily, and transfers like Light and this one are damaging the Proleague balance further. Don't you feel bad for the Khan fans the fact you're team is possibly going to take one of their top players when you actually don't need it at all? I don't want to see teams get gutted and dissolved. You'd have to be a seriously blind fanboy to not see what very well could possibly happen if the talent keeps getting taken from the smaller teams.
I think KeSPA should somehow get involved here. BW is not sustainable like a typical sport whereby the teams can simply buy the smaller teams best players. If this happens the other teams could very well just fold and nobody wants that.

Wow Brood War scene is getting less interesting by the second. Teams buying top players out? I feel terrible for MBC and Samsung fans

To draw an analogy, how would you feel if Flash was sold to SKT? KT would be devesated, have no viable ace player apart from Stats and have to fight a team who is already one of the best(Being SKT).
I know i'd be sad if Jaedong were to ever leave OZ for SK or KT.

If the player turns out to be Jangbi, I don't see how it would be much different. Jangbi's slumping bad, and Khan has solid toss line in Stork and Brave. what Khan needs is for Turn and Reality to mature.
Besides, prior to 2006, teams other than SKT and KT were pretty much piss poor. GO developed a bunch of players just to have them plucked away by richer teams.

Yeah, i see it the same. Money shouldn't be the deciding factor if a team is great / favorite to winning titles. If you want to booster up your team, look for another / new coach. But more importanly, focus on your / the rookies. Have coaches focus on them, let them gather every possibly experience and slowly get them to the A-Team.
That's something i really don't like about SKT for instance. They have / had FBB, but they really don't give their aspiring players much playtime. Sun is the only one getting sent out more frequently, and just in winners league. Remember last time Ssak played? Me neither. Paralyze? Never. They even send out their Zergs as rarly as possible. That's not how a strong team should be imo. Whole winners league was basically hoping Bisu going to clean and fantasy to not have his horrendous days.
I really really thought / hoped Samsung would again become a strong force with grape, turn, brave and reality as soon as they get accustomed to the pro-league environement with the elders jangbi / stork beeing the flagship.

I think i speak for most when i say, we want the scene right now to have some stability. With the lawsuits, teams shutting down/merging, match fixing scandal, some big names leaving, the last thing we want is more change. It feels like a very real threat of even more shit happening if transfers go through. Jangbi wouldn't be such a big deal but it still feels wrong. This is why there's such a bad reaction compared to transfer years ago.
Also on the note of criticism of SKT1 which i definitely agree with (Fantasy/BeSt/Bisu get played constantly), how about the Kwanro transfer too? Seemed totally pointless and appeared to take his will out of even progaming :/
