And the winners are...

SKT T1!

(LR thread here)

(P)Bisu: Free's large army surprised me

Q: How do you feel about only winning two games?
Bisu: I prepared until Icarus during practice, but thought about an opening on La Mancha as well. I'm pretty satisfied with two wins. (Z)s2 played very well after me, so today we won again.

Q: You kept your PvZ record up on Benzene; how'd you feel about (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey?
Bisu: As the lead-off player, I had a lot of (literally "inflated") confidence. Soulkey's opening was very flexible, so I was a bit dazed for a while. Though he didn't look very confident, he played very well. He was rather poor the whole game, and I had plenty of expansions, so I was going to win. It was my first time as the first player this season, so I was rather nervous.

Q: How about your game with (T)Really?
Bisu: His build was very strange; he scanned me very early. But that made him fall into my rhythm; I expanded quickly, while his late 3rd base made him weak.

Q: You didn't notice (P)free's hidden expos even when you lost.
Bisu: In the beginning, my natural was up faster, so I thought I was ahead. But 10 minutes later, the opponent had more units and replenished his army faster, about which I was rather mystified. But I still didn't think of hidden expansions even then, even until I gg'd. But when I saw the score screen I realized what had happened; I still have a lot to work on. I also had the intent to hidden expo, so I'm really disappointed that I was tricked like that. Though it's good that I notched two kills, I still wasn't concentrating hard enough during the match.

Q: KT is hot on your heels.
Bisu: Since they have (T)Flash, it's expected; but their other players are playing very well too. (+ Show Spoiler [T/N] +
Flash = 吃肉 = eat meat??
) They still haven't dropped a match; it would be nice if they lost and gave us a breather. But thanks to KT, we've been playing each match with a sense of urgency. Though it's good to compete with KT, it would be even better if we could take sole possession of 1st place.

Q: You lead everyone in wins with 45.
Bisu: Even though Flash is a bit behind me, I should be careful. I've recently been collecting games (vods/replays?) from excellent players, including Flash, and I'm quite nervous. Earlier, I already saw Stork (?) and (Z)Jaedong's game (+ Show Spoiler [T/N] +
Stork = 石头 = rock?? or LeeSsang Rok?
) ; I never know when someone's going to pass me for most wins; as we reach the end of the 4th round, I still have hopes that I'll be the most wins king.

Q: Last words?
Bisu: The 4th round is about to draw to a close. Both the team and individual leagues are very important, and I need to practice hard to make it onto the finals stage. Thanks to all my teammates who helped me, and MBC's (Z)Saint; he's been unhappy recently, so I hope he cheers up soon.

You helped your team win with your 2kill.
It's my first win in 2011, and it's come late enough. I won and the team won, so today went well.

How was your game against free?
It was a rare game against a Protoss, so I knew I had to seize the opportunity and win for sure. I felt good about my vP in practice, so today I was able to win.

You won the game with zerglings.
After breaking, I was sure I could win easily. I haven't played for so long that my hands shook. I worked very hard in practice, and my strategies were very effective, so I took the game quickly.

Why did your first win come this late into the year?
I was actually too concerned about winning, and I couldn't focus entirely on the game. During this period of time when I was losing, I was very diligent in practice, and I hope that lets me continue winning.

Thoughts on your game against Zero?
I had already guessed he'd be ace. I had a lot of things going my way, namely a better opening and some good fortune, so I easily won.

Your lackluster start to the year contrasts sharply with the team's smashing successes.
The team's performance is thanks to the players' incredible ability. Everyone is intensely competitive. Before, even though I was always used to soak up the maps, I didn't lose heart and I kept working hard. When the opportunity came, I took it, and I'll keep doing so in the future. That's how I intend to keep winning.

How do you feel about your first interview in very long?
I've already forgotten the last time I had an interview. I want to thank my parents and friends, who have supported me the entire time. I'll repay you with good results, and I hope to win a lot in the future.

I think he means collecting replays from good players (to watch presumably), but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the translation guys. S2's interview is pretty generic. Whatever.

Perhaps the key reason behind Bisu's lacklustering vT and vP in comparison to his vZ is due to the emphasis on gathering info using an observer rather than a corsair. If only corsair is somehow viable in the other two matchups...

Also, he needs to download Flash's maphack program.

Bisu!!

You must be playing too many games against Best and just thinking that Free was macroing better than usual . Equally glad that Bisu looks like he's going to keep improving! Go win an individual league already!

Interestingly, Bisu's vT is approaching his peak and is a good bit higher than his vP now.

Guys, plz notice that he prepared only for the first 2 maps. It rather explains his lack of sense and terrible strat on La Mancha. Still, he should have suspected smt since Free's range upgrade came too late in that game.

Ow god, Bisu has CURSED KT , this is the reason that they lost!

Unsure if to spoiler my comment, but I will just incase people have not watched yet.

Thanks for the interview though, its awesomesauce, I couldn't believe that an SK zerg won the match for them.

Bisu is 16-2 in last 18 PvTs hardly what I would call lackluster (With his only 2 losses coming from Flash and TvP expert Hiya). While its true it might not look pretty all his games, you can`t argue with the results he is showing.

Bisu is peaking in vZ and vT right now. His results in vT are amazing, and his ELO is almost identical to Stork's in vT right now. Even in his game against Flash he had a slight initial advantage, he just made a few mistakes (and, well, it was Flash!) and against Hiya he made a few mistakes again. Not enough templar in that game, for one.

I think the stigma right now is making Bisu even more nervous in PvT, particularly the stigma about his carrier play. I think Bisu is at his top form right now in PvT and PvZ both, it's just that his PvP is pretty lacking right now.

His scouting in vT and vP might be the issue (as showcased against free) but I think Bisu is very close to achieving his best statistical performance of his career. I'm interested in seeing if he can carry it over into his individual leagues and start the summer strong.

It's ironic Bisu didn't think of hidden expos because he was the player who used it most recently...
